Chapter 75 My Experiences in the Countryside

After making two more turns and driving for more than half an hour, Fang Qiao gradually recognized the place she had been before, which showed how remote the pharmaceutical factory was.

Once inside the city center, Fang Qiao finally recognized the way and skillfully directed Cheng Baidong to park the car outside the department store.

The department stores in Beijing and those in the counties of Henan Province are like two different worlds. The one in Beijing is six stories high, and every floor is filled with goods.

Originally, I was supposed to do a good shopping trip in Beijing, but today I mainly wanted to buy gifts for my parents' family, so I'll have to come back another day. Today I just briefly strolled around the food section on the first floor, bought two bottles of liquor, weighed out two packs of pastries, and also bought half a pound of White Rabbit milk candy for my older brother's child.

As they came out of the department store, Fang Qiao saw a small window selling candied hawthorns and bought four in one go, one for each of them.

Xiao Jing politely waved her hand and said no, but Fang Qiao stuffed it directly into her hand: "One for each of you is just right. Try it, it's coated with syrup so it's not sour."

Xiao Jing then took the candied hawthorn and carefully took a bite.

Fang Qiao asked, "Is it sweet?"

The sweet syrup melted in her mouth, and Xiaojing unconsciously smiled shyly, nodded, and whispered, "Sweet."

"It has to be sweet, that's right, I told you it's delicious."

This restaurant makes the candied hawthorn syrup perfectly cooked, with no bitterness at all, and the sweet and sour taste is very appetizing.

Fang Qiao loves to eat, and soon ate a whole skewer.

She took An'an into her arms and let Cheng Baidong eat instead.

After getting on the bus, we went to a state-run restaurant and bought a roast duck.

The roast duck was freshly roasted, just out of the pot, and the aroma was incredibly strong. Bringing it into the car, it quickly filled the entire space with the smell of roast duck, making Xiao Jing's mouth water. She was almost overwhelmed by the aroma too, keeping her head down and trying her best not to think about it.

Fang Qiao was no less impressive.

Being in the same space as such delicious food really tests one's willpower.

She urged Cheng Baidong, "Drive faster, let's get out of the car as soon as we get there."

It's much closer to Fangjia if you go from the city center.

Following Fang Qiao's prior instructions, Cheng Baidong parked the car far away near a secluded bus stop, about two kilometers from Fangjia Hutong.
