Chapter 13: Loving her endlessly. Can't let go.
Yu Han was stunned: "No..." She shook her head, and subconsciously reached for her clothes with her free hand.
"Cover yourself up and don't catch a cold. You can't catch a cold."
Yu Han was confused: "How do you know I can't catch a cold?"
"I..." He explained casually, "Didn't you say you have CIPA?"
She was surprised: "Wow, do you know about this disease? I only told you that I don't feel pain. But you know I can't catch a cold yet."
"Um."
She wasn't at all upset about the illness and even said with a smile, "That's right, not only do I not feel pain, I also have no temperature perception, so I easily catch a cold, and then I get a fever, which is very difficult to reduce."
Qin Yi looked at her quietly and nodded slowly: "Then you can't go back to China, and don't come next time."
"Yeah, yeah, I told you, I'm not coming back. We won't see each other anymore."
Qin Yi lowered his head, hiding the guilt in his eyes, and then looked up: "I don't know when the rain will stop. Come with me and I'll take you home."
"Is that okay?" she worried. "The security guard won't let me out. Forget it, I'll wait until you guys get out of school. I can't burden anyone else."
Qin Yi thought that he could be dragged down by her countless times online and offline, and he just wanted to send her safely to the airport and back to Singapore.
She didn't know that the man in front of her was called Qin Yi, and thought it was someone else, but he knew who she was, and he would never forget what Yu Han looked like when she lay dying in his arms covered in blood in Italy.
If he wasn't afraid that something might have happened to her, why would he have called the hotel to ask them to help him confirm her safety after failing to contact her late at night in Kuala Lumpur on New Year's Eve?
For example, during the Spring Festival, he was afraid that she might be in danger from fighting, so he changed the court to play basketball, but actually he was going to find her. For example, that day at the cinema, even if he didn't answer his sister's call, he would still follow her out to see what happened and why she had to leave in the middle of the movie.
So when she was in front of him, he couldn't just leave her there. He couldn't let her go.
"I can get out, you can follow me." He took the umbrella again and stood up.
Yu Han immediately stood up.
At this time, Qin Yi's cell phone vibrated.
He took it out and saw it was a call from his homeroom teacher. He could almost guess what it was, and he didn't want to answer it, but he was afraid he would keep calling.
He held Yu Han down and said, "Wait here for me. I'm going to take a call."
"oh."
He gave her the umbrella to shield her from the rain and walked out of the grove under the eaves.
…
"Qin Yi, didn't the head teacher say he wanted to see you? Why didn't you go?" The head teacher's voice was unusually stern and serious.
Qin Yi said nonchalantly: "I don't want to waste time. I already said I need to take a leave of absence for something."
"you……"
The head teacher said sadly, "He's so pissed off he called me over. He said you were too guilty to see him, that you were in cahoots with that girl from another school, that you were skipping classes to hang out and deliberately not coming to the office. I can't handle this now, so he's determined to expel you. He's even called the principal, you know?"
"He's dreaming, what are you afraid of?"
“…”
The head teacher took a deep breath and tried to calm down: "Tell me first, do you have any relationship with that female student?"
"No."
"You didn't bring that person in? The head teacher is now saying that you brought that person in."
"He's God," Qin Yi sneered. "He has a God's perspective. Call him and I'll tell him to retire and become God."
“…”
The head teacher said, "I'm telling you, I'll call you back later. The principal will be here soon. You must speak up and admit your mistake, only then can this matter be resolved. Do you know how my world has collapsed on me during this wonderful weekend?"
"Then why did you come to him and me? He's crazy and I'm not. He wants to expel the top student in your class. Do you think he has a problem with his brain?"
"..." He said painfully, "Don't be so blunt. I really am calling you from the corridor now. I'm going to ruin your work in a while. Keep a low profile, understand? Some things should not be said out loud. Just know it in your heart."
“…”
After the call ended, Qin Yi frowned and waited.
The head teacher returned to the office from the corridor of the teaching building. There were two other teachers inside, one was the physics teacher from the previous class, and the other was the mathematics teacher, who had just been called over by the head teacher.
But none of the three could calm the head teacher's anger.
Soon, two sets of footsteps slowly appeared at the door of the first-year high school teachers' public office.
Two middle-aged men in their fifties or sixties in white shirts slowly walked into the office, one was the principal and the other was the vice principal.
The vice-principal walked behind with his hands behind his back and asked with a smile, "What's going on? Why is there such a big fuss?"
After saying that, he looked around and asked, "Where's Qin Yi?"
The physics teacher who had just come over with the homeroom teacher said, "He's not here."
"He didn't come." The vice principal smiled and shook his head. "This kid said he would come, but he didn't show up. That must have pissed off the dean."
The head teacher greeted both the principal and the vice-principal. He didn't expect two of them to come at once. He guessed they were still together and he had just been called over from there.
He explained to them in a few words: "I heard that a girl from another school came to school today. She is said to be a former student of another teacher, and was brought in to reminisce about the past. Later, I heard that she was with the kids in our class in school." He pointed to a few people in the corner.
Both principals turned their heads to look.
The homeroom teacher said, "Then she chatted on her phone with a student from our school. The student said she needed to take a leave to go out and play with her and would not attend class. The dean caught her, and he thought she was hanging out with a few people from our class, and that they were close to Qin Yi, so he concluded that the person she was chatting with was Qin Yi. Adding to that, the girl said she was an international student, and the dean speculated that the little love letter that was circulating in the school was written by her and received by Qin Yi. Furthermore, the dean thought Qin Yi had brought the person in, so he was very angry."
The two principals nodded.
The head teacher promptly said, "But the girl denied it. She said she didn't know Qin Yi and that she had already left. Qin Yi didn't come. He left the school this afternoon. He had something else to do. But the dean was sure it was him, so he felt guilty and didn't come. I just called him, and he denied knowing her and didn't want to come back."
The vice principal smiled and shook his head. "Children have bad tempers. No matter what, you can't stand the teacher up. Give him a call and I'll see if I can get him back."
The head teacher took out his cell phone.
I called him and thought he wouldn't answer. Just as I was worrying, the call went through.
He touched the speakerphone and said, "Qin Yi? Where have you been? Come back."
The young man's cold voice came from the receiver: "Not at school. I told the principal before I went to the office that I was taking a leave of absence this afternoon."
"You..." The director feigned embarrassment as he looked at the two senior officials beside him. Finally, he said into the phone, "How can we solve this problem if you don't? You ran away so fast that the principal is here."
Qin Yi: "You're here just in time. If you fire me, I won't go to this crappy school anymore."
head teacher:"……"
The vice principal said to the phone with a smile, "This kid. It's just a small matter, don't get mad. If the kids from other schools come to play on the weekend and it affects classes, just let them go. As for anything else," he said to the phone, "just say it's nothing, there's no need to get angry."
The head teacher admires the principal in his heart, because he can turn big things into small things and small things into nothing with just a few words.
"Am I angry?" The boy on the phone began to mock. "Our great head teacher is so arrogant. Whatever he says is true. He even said I was the one who got him in. I don't even know how powerful I am, and I don't even know his own character. He thinks he's a god."
Everyone: “…”
The head teacher almost fainted.
God, this life is over. He really wants to quit.
The two principals paused, looked at their phones deeply for a few seconds, and then smiled helplessly.
The vice principal smiled and shook his head, saying to him, "Alright, this child is quite temperamental, so don't talk nonsense. Just talk about the minor issues. You asked for leave, so go ahead. Now that you're gone, go do your own thing. It's the weekend, so be happy."
The head teacher hung up the phone quickly.
The principal shook his head and sighed.
The vice principal turned around and left first.
The remaining three teachers immediately followed. The physics teacher pointed at the four people standing in the corner as punishment and said, "Go back and copy the test papers! If you don't feel well, go back to the dormitory and rest. What are you doing outside?"
Several people fled out of the front door of the office, and I didn't dare to follow them out.
Only the principal was left in the office.
When they reached the stairs, the head teacher made another call at the vice principal's signal.
After the call was connected, the vice principal said into the phone, "It's over." He smiled, "Don't be so aggressive next time, okay? If you have something to say, talk it over nicely. You can't treat the teacher like that."
The young man sneered on the phone, "He's a worthless teacher. How could a teacher curse like that? He's already been accusing me of something and questioning me for a long time before I even arrived. I'm probably going to accuse me of murder soon. I'm going to report him later."
“…”
The head teacher's face was filled with despair, as if a mountain had collapsed before him. He held up his phone and said, "If you say another word, I'll beat you to death. Even the principal won't be able to help."
The vice principal laughed in anger and shook his head again: "You little brat. Okay, okay, the director was indeed a bit serious, so I spoke a little harshly. Okay, listen to me, calm down. Hang up, go have fun."
Qin Yi put away his phone and returned to the grove.
The little princess was waiting for him obediently with her schoolbag on her back.
He took the umbrella with one hand and held her slender wrist with the other, "Let's go."
He took her across the wet grass and soil, through the half-high trees, and out of this hidden hiding place amid the sound of pouring rain.
Letting go of her hand, Qin Yi gestured for her to get dressed: "The wind is strong, put on some clothes to keep warm."
Yu Han felt a little embarrassed, but since he refused to wear it even though she gave it to him, she could only reach out and put on the clothes, hiding them along with the small backpack inside his oversized school uniform.
Qin Yi tilted the umbrella towards her and took her about a hundred meters to the school gate.
He handed her the umbrella: "Wait for me on the other side. The door should open from that side."
Yu Han obeyed. Seeing him striding towards the security room, she immediately went opposite.
Qin Yi walked into the room, knocked on the door and said to the middle-aged man who was looking at his phone, "Open the door, please."
"School isn't over yet. Do you have a note for leave?" The security guard on duty looked up at him and spoke slowly.
Qin Yi took out the leave request note that his physics teacher had written earlier from his school uniform pocket.
The guard took it and looked at it, then pressed the switch on the table, too lazy to go out in the rain to open the small door.
The gate, which was originally only open to vehicles, slowly opened in the rain.
Qin Yi predicted that he would not go out to open the small door, which was just convenient for him to sneak people out. He turned around and went out and strode towards the opposite side.
Yu Han, who was hiding under the shade of a tree, immediately went forward with an umbrella.
"Hey, that girl can't go out. You don't have a leave application." The guard walked to the door of the security room and pointed at the girl who was half blocked by Qin Yi.
Yu Han paused in shock.
Qin Yi put his arm around her and led her out. He turned back to look at the security guard as he walked: "He's not from our school."
"She must have lied to me. She can't go out." he shouted.
"If it's not, then it's not. Everything you see is yours. Who cares about this crappy school?" He hugged the person and walked out the door.
Guard: “…”
The rain was really heavy. Yu Han felt like she couldn't even see the road clearly. The sky was overcast and the streetlights weren't on yet. Every step she took was a puddle.
Qin Yi took her to a nearby bus stop to shelter from the rain.
He stood in front of her, shielding her from the rain. Under the black umbrella, their eyes met. He asked, "Where are you going?"
"To the airport."
Qin Yi knew and pretended to be surprised: "Going to the airport?"
"Well, I booked a flight for today."
"Fly...to Singapore." he asked.
"Yes." Yu Han said, "Thank you for sending me out, otherwise I might have missed my flight." She smiled again, "Then go home quickly."
Qin Yi turned his head and glanced at the nearby road. "Going to the airport... take a taxi. The subway is still far away."
"Yeah, I'll go by myself. You go back."
"Let's go." Qin Yi took her hand and walked forward into the rain. "You can't get a taxi here."
The two of them were talking about completely different things.
"Just go away. You don't have to worry about me." Yu Han felt extremely embarrassed.
Qin Yi said to himself, "I'll take you to the bus stop."
"I can go by myself."
"You don't have an umbrella."
"I'll go buy one, you go back." After saying that, she rushed forward into the rain. "Bye, thank you."
Qin Yi was stunned, then he came to his senses and immediately started chasing after him, "Don't run!"
Qin Yi was very scared. The little guy had already been injured, and if he fell again he would be completely dead. Moreover, it was raining so hard, and if he got hot from running and had a fever, he would be doomed.
He ran after him as fast as he could.
Unfortunately, a bus was coming towards him and blocked his view. He dodged it and looked around the bus again. Only a shadow of the little ancestor was left.
With such fast steps, he must be a track and field athlete.
The next second she turned a corner and completely disappeared from his sight.
Not knowing whether she was going to buy an umbrella or take a taxi, Qin Yi quickly followed her. After turning the corner, he found that this road was full of restaurants and there were no other shops at all. The little girl was running wildly under the trees on the sidewalk.
She was probably going to take the subway, and there were signs on the roadside indicating the direction of the subway station.
But the subway entrance is another 400 meters away and requires crossing two traffic lights.
Qin Yi was extremely anxious.
An electric bike going in the opposite direction blocked his way and almost hit him.
The fat man cursed at him, "Hey, you're walking without looking at the road, you're blind."
"roll!"
