Chapter 97 is not given.
Gu Yuanyuan reached out, pinched Shi Nianzhi's face hard, pulled it, and then slapped it.
He left.
"You're the trash!"
Enraged, Shi Nianzhi pulled the USB drive out of his pocket and smashed it against the back of Gu Yuanyuan's head.
"You fucking—"
Gu Yuanyuan covered the back of her head and turned around.
Shi Nianzhi won't see it; Lu Jiunian said he wouldn't leave him.
He believed him.
Seeing Gu Yuanyuan approaching, Shi Nianzhi turned and ran, saying as she ran, "As long as I don't divorce him, your uncle will be a mistress even when he wakes up!"
Gu Yuanyuan took two steps forward, gritting his teeth, "You country bumpkin! Don't let me catch you!"
Shi Nianzhi returned to the classroom, panting, and sat down to catch his breath.
"Is someone pursuing you?"
Upon hearing Su Hengyi's question, Shi Nianzhi nodded, then asked Su Hengyi, "Brother Yi, you love Boss very much, right?"
"Um?"
"Exactly, if someone loves another person very much, can they still fall in love with someone else?"
"It depends."
"What if it were you? Would you ever fall in love with any other man besides the boss?"
Su Hengyi turned a page of the English classic he was reading. He seemed to think for a moment before saying, "The answer I give you now is no. But the me of the future, that may not be the case."
Shi Nianzhi couldn't understand such profound words. He opened a can of cola and inserted the straw.
He handed it to Su Hengyi.
Su Heng pushed it back with his hand, "You drink it."
Aren't you going to drink?
"I won't drink it."
"Then let me buy three cans."
"Give him two cans."
"The boss likes to drink this."
Shi Nianzhi got up and handed two cans of cola to Mu Guangcheng. Mu Guangcheng seemed a little absent-minded and didn't say anything after receiving them.
Shi Nianzhi returned to his seat and asked Su Hengyi, "Brother Yi, could you please make sure that what you said earlier was clear to me?"
"Right now, he's all I can think about, and I can't live without him. So if you ask me, I'll say no, I won't fall in love with anyone else. I don't know what I'll be like in five or twenty years, so it's uncertain."
Su Heng reached into the plastic bag and took out the strawberry-flavored lollipop that Shi Nianzhi had bought, then gently twirled it between his fingertips.
The cool voice continued, "Just like children, they might love eating candy. When they grow up, they might remember that they loved eating candy when they were little, but they might not love it anymore."
Su Heng peeled off the candy wrapper and popped the pink lollipop into his mouth, the sweetness spreading throughout his mouth.
Su Heng lowered his eyes, concealing the deep desire within them.
His gaze returned to the classic English novels.
Shi Nianzhi held her cheeks in her hands, looking at the blackboard with a worried expression.
Mu Guangcheng suddenly walked over again and placed a stack of test papers on Shi Nianzhi's desk. "These are the review materials for this month's exam. Take a good look at them."
These words instantly pulled Shi Nianzhi back from the brink of sorrow and grief. Indeed, with the monthly exams approaching, he no longer had time for melancholy.
As Shi Nianzhi looked at the densely packed answers and questions, his head began to ache again.
This was his first placement test after entering university, and Shi Nianzhi felt that no matter what, he couldn't possibly get a zero.
Between getting the lowest score and getting zero, the latter clearly seems less intelligent.
In the afternoon, a transfer student named Shi Er joined the class.
There were only two seats left in the class: one next to Mu Guangcheng and the other at a separate table near the back door, which made him seem a bit out of place.
Since he was a transfer student, Old Wang told him, "Where do you want to sit? There are only two seats left in the class."
"I don't like sitting with other people."
Old Wang smiled awkwardly, thinking to himself that this kid was a bit unsociable and he needed to do some ideological work.
But then I thought, I shouldn't sit too close to Mu Guangcheng, lest I be led astray.
So he said to Shi Er, "Then sit by the door. You can sit here for now. We'll reassign seats after midterms, and then we'll change your seat."
Shi Er didn't say anything and sat down by the back door.
He had a very low profile in the class, and he wasn't a particularly outgoing person to begin with.
It didn't make much of a splash all afternoon.
School's out.
Shi Nianzhi held Su Hengyi's monthly exam review materials and earnestly asked Su Hengyi for advice.
Mu Guangcheng also went to listen in, and before they knew it, it was dark.
The group then left the classroom.
Shi Er silently followed behind Shi Nianzhi.
This successfully caught Mu Guangcheng's attention. "What are you doing following us?"
Shi Nianzhi turned around and glanced at Shi Er, slightly surprised, "You haven't gone back yet?"
Then, upon further reflection, Shi Er did indeed have to go with him, since the driver couldn't possibly make two separate trips to pick up people.
"You two know each other?"
Mu Guangcheng was puzzled.
Shi Nianzhi nodded, wanting to say that Shi Er was a bodyguard but feeling it wouldn't be very respectful, so he explained, "He's my brother."
Shi Er is older than him, and they share the same surname, so calling him "brother" is quite appropriate on campus.
Mu Guangcheng looked at things with a sense of wonder, his gaze shifting back and forth between Shi Nianzhi and Shi Er.
Then he laughed, "You two don't look alike at all, are you brothers?"
As Mu Guangcheng spoke, he reached out and put his arm around Shi Nianzhi's shoulder, something he was used to doing when talking to his younger brother.
This time, as soon as he reached out, Shi Er suddenly stepped forward, grabbed Mu Guangcheng's wrist with one hand, and pressed down hard on Mu Guangcheng's shoulder with the other, pushing Mu Guangcheng away.
Mu Guangcheng slammed into the wall and groaned.
Su Hengyi's expression suddenly changed. He went up to grab Shi Er's hand, but Shi Er reacted quickly and dodged.
"You're really strong, kid."
Mu Guangcheng rubbed his shoulders and muttered a complaint.
Su Hengyi originally wanted to make a move, but seeing that Mu Guangcheng was alright, he didn't continue out of respect for Shi Nianzhi. He just gave Shi Er a cold look.
Shi Er followed behind Shi Nianzhi, acting as if nothing had happened.
Shi Nianzhi asked anxiously, "Boss, are you alright?"
"It's nothing, just a bump. He's really strong. Sometimes you're quite strong too, is it because you do a lot of work in the countryside that you developed that strength?"
"Maybe."
Shi Nianzhi followed Mu Guangcheng, and the group continued walking forward.
We parted ways again at the school gate.
Mu Guangcheng lived nearby, and the road he took home was the same road where Su Hengyi waited for the bus at the bus stop.
So the two walked side by side without saying a word.
On the contrary, Su Hengyi showed no sign of stopping even after he had passed the bus stop.
When it was Mu Guangcheng's turn to stop, he asked, "Aren't you taking the bus home?"
"It's not about getting tutoring."
He calmly gave a statement of affirmation.
Mu Guangcheng was speechless. "I didn't say I'd come to my house for tutoring."
"Otherwise, where else can we go?"
Mu Guangcheng: "..."
It seems like there's nowhere to go, but that's not right, this isn't the right place.
Mu Guangcheng was silent for a moment, then suddenly realized something was wrong. He quickly said, "Then when Shi Nianzhi has time, let's go to my house for tutoring together."
What are you afraid of?
Mu Guangcheng immediately said, "Of course I'm scared. You have designs on me, and I can't beat you. We're all alone together, who will guarantee my safety?"
Su Hengyi's face instantly darkened. "Why are you so wary of me?"
Mu Guangcheng pulled the zipper of his school uniform jacket all the way up, and with his chin held high, he said in an arrogant voice, "Of course, a straight man like me has to protect myself in front of a gay man like you."
Su Hengyi's gaze was cold, and his thin lips were pressed into a straight line, indicating that he was in a very bad mood.
He looked at Mu Guangcheng without saying a word. Mu Guangcheng had an arrogant look on his face, as if he wanted to hold his head up to the sky.
Su Heng clenched his fist, then released it, and turned to walk towards the bus stop.
Mu Guangcheng snorted and turned to leave.
He walked into the alley while humming a song, when suddenly everything went black and his head was covered by his school uniform jacket.
Mu Guangcheng's first reaction was that he had been ambushed. Covering his head with a school uniform was such a common tactic.
Just as he was about to defend himself, he suddenly felt a heat on his lips and was bitten hard again, causing him to squint and groan in pain.
Then a strip of cloth was placed over his eyes and tied very tightly.
The school uniform covering his head was ripped away, and Mu Guangcheng looked down to pull the cloth strip from his eyes.
When he tore the strip of cloth off, it was a red scarf. He quickly looked up at the alley entrance, but there was nothing there.
Mu Guangcheng gripped the red scarf, furious. "Su Hengyi, don't think I can't tell it's you just because I can't catch you! Red scarf, what the hell is this red scarf? Where did it come from! Damn it!"
Just then, a primary school student who was walking home late passed by and answered earnestly, "The convenience store, five yuan a piece."
"Damn, it's already five yuan a piece? That's so expensive?! Here you go! Never mind, I won't give it to you."
The elementary school students had already reached out to take it, but Mu Guangcheng took it back and walked away in a few steps.
Elementary school student: "......"
Having long legs isn't anything special.
Shi Nianzhi went home.
Shi Er disappeared; he must have gone to the servants' quarters.
It was probably Lu Jiunian's instruction not to get too close to him.
Just as Shi Nianzhi put his schoolbag in the study and said he would review his studies again, Aunt Zhang knocked on the door. "Young Master Shi, there's a package for you this afternoon. I'll pick it up for you."
Who sent it?
"Take a look."
Aunt Zhang handed the express delivery box to Shi Nianzhi and then left.
The sender's name was a string of English letters, and it was unknown who sent it.
The delivery box was quite large. Shi Nianzhi shook it, and the contents inside sounded rather heavy.
He found a pair of scissors and opened the package.
Shi Nianzhi glanced inside and saw all sorts of photos, printed so clearly.
The photos show various versions of "him" and Lu Jiunian celebrating birthdays together, planting trees together, attending graduation ceremonies, going on trips, racing, traveling...
This is......
Shi Nianzhi reached out and took out a stack of photos. He spread them out under the light. The 'him' in the photos was so spirited, with a proud look in his eyes, and a kind of confidence that Shi Nianzhi could never learn.
Below is a printed love letter, not the original, but the handwriting is clear.
