Chapter 13 Second Young Master Yu Xie

"The second lady...the one from Heyuan hanged herself!"

The hurried and tense voice spread throughout the Yu Mansion.

It only took half a quarter of an hour to get from Meihua Town to Tanhua City, but Yu Sang could not resist the curiosity of his fellow disciples, so he led them to stay at the Yipin Inn.

Visiting the Yu Mansion was just a casual thought on the way. He went back for a while and then continued to lead them on their journey.

After settling them, Yu Sang sat in his room. He held the porcelain bottle in his hand and called a few times, but heard no response from Lin Wannian. He thought he was probably asleep. It was inconvenient to carry the bottle with him, so he put it on the table by the window and got up and went out.

After completing the second task, Lin Wannian used the fertilizer provided by the system, and the whole grass instantly entered a state of cultivation.

He germinated too late, and now the strange fertilizer was too strong, and it would take some time for him to absorb it completely.

After Yu Sang walked out, there were knocks on his guest room door a few times. When no movement was heard from inside, the door was pushed open.

"No one?"

Liu Yu walked in and took a look at the items in the guest room, his eyes resting on the porcelain vase on the table.

The plants inside were more lush than the last time he saw them. Liu Yu pulled out a chair and sat down, watching with his chin supported by his hands. He raised his hand to touch it, but was bounced back by the barrier. A hint of surprise flashed in his eyes, and he retracted his hand, staring at the grass, his lips silently repeating two words: Senior Brother.

The streets of Tanhua City are prosperous, with lanterns hanging on both sides of the street and roadside stalls selling all kinds of food and toys.

The surrounding scenery was different from before he left, which was a bit novel and dazed to Yu Sang. As he walked, he came to the Yu Mansion.

The guard at the door has been replaced with a new one.

Yu Sang walked up to the threshold, but was stopped by the guard before he could step in.

"Please show me your invitation."

Yu Sang silently took out his identity token from his storage bag.

The guard took it, stared at Yu Sang for a few more times, gave him the token, and said to the person next to him: "Go and call the butler, and tell him that the young master is back."

After the guard finished speaking, he looked at Yu Sang in front of him and said, "Sorry, we just arrived not long ago and we are not sure of your identity. Let's wait for the housekeeper to come and identify it."

Said the conscientious guard.

"Yeah." Yu Sang stood at the door and waited for a while.

A hurried figure ran out, moving so fast that under Yu Sang's gaze, the man grabbed his hand and stared at Yu Sang's face with turbid eyes: "Master! You are finally back."

Peach Garden.

The graceful woman in red was lying on the chaise longue, holding a gray cat in her arms. When she heard the servant's hurried report, she stopped petting the cat and looked up at the servant who was reporting: "What are you doing back, Yu Sang?"

"It seems he was passing by and came back to check on the situation in the mansion." The maid Caizhu explained.

The woman patted the gray cat's butt and got off the chaise longue. The hem of her skirt covered her long white legs as she moved: "Change my clothes."

"yes."

Yu Sang came back at the wrong time.

His father is not at home, and the second wife is in charge now.

Yu Sang had no choice but to return to the courtyard where he used to live. There was nothing to be nostalgic about, and he felt calm.

The housekeeper accompanied Yu Sang and said, "Master, we will have servants come to clean your yard every month. How long do you plan to stay if you go back now?"

"No, I came back to visit on my way." Yu Sang replied.

The housekeeper couldn't help but look a little regretful: "If the master knew you were back, he would definitely be happy."

"It's just a pity." He expressed regret at the end.

Yu Sang said nothing.

He pushed open the dusty door and walked in. The scenery inside was exactly the same as before he left. Looking around, he walked out and looked at the housekeeper standing at the door: "Nothing happened in the Yu Mansion recently, right?"

It was originally just a greeting, but the butler hesitated: "This..."

Before the butler finished answering, another charming voice was heard in the yard.

"A-Sang, I heard that you were back, so I hurried to see you."

Yu Sang looked over there, and saw a figure in a light yellow dress standing at the gate of the courtyard. She raised her hand and saluted her: "Second Madam."

His biological mother died shortly after giving birth to him, after which Yu Jishen married a new wife, now his second wife.

The second wife, Qin Xiuxi, walked up to him with a handkerchief in her hand and a faint smile, looking at the child who had just returned home seriously like an old mother: "You have lost weight. You should stay here for a few days before leaving."

Yu Sang took a few steps back and kept a distance from his stepmother: "Don't bother with your kindness, Second Mother. I just came back on my way this time."

For a cultivator like Yu Sang who has spent more time outside than at home since childhood, his entire life should be dedicated to the sect and work for the sect.

"So that's how it is." Qin Xiuxi showed regret on her face when she heard the answer.

Yu Sang looked at the housekeeper who was pretending to be quiet and asked: "Has anything happened in the mansion recently?"

The butler did not answer, but instead turned his gaze to Qin Xiuxi.

Yu Sang followed his gaze and looked at the Second Madam: "Second Madam?"

Qin Xiuxi smiled calmly and replied, "It was an insignificant little thing that happened."

"What little thing?" Yu Sang subconsciously reached out and stroked the pendant around his waist, but the porcelain bottle had already been placed in the inn.

The smile on Qin Xiuxi's face disappeared: "Your Aunt Jiang hanged herself."

Yu Jishen married a woman as his second wife and had three women as concubines. Two of the three concubines had died of illness, leaving only one concubine, Jiang.
