Chapter 25 The trouble with invitations

Chapter 25 The trouble with invitations

Jiang Chaoyang received a notice from the school that he needed to teach for a few days.

It just so happened that Yin Zhu's class happened to be the day he was substituting for the class.

Yin Curse flipped through the information in his hand. When he saw that the teacher was Jiang Chaoyang, his expression didn't change much. Lin Yuan floated in the air and asked, "I say, you really don't plan to capture the character?"

Yin Zhu paused while taking notes and said, "It's a duplicate number."

Lin Yuan:?

Lin Yuan was dumbfounded, "You are 1??"

Yin Zhu didn't even raise his eyelids, "Why can't I be?"

Leaning against the wall, he was speechless.

After class, Jiang Chaoyang asked Yin Curse to walk with him. Lin Yuan landed on his head with ease. Jiang Chaoyang didn't mind and said to Yin Curse, "Is there anything you didn't understand?"

"No."

As they walked along the road, Jiang Chaoyang continued to ask, "How have you been feeling recently? Have you felt happier?"

"I don't think so. I've never seen him smile." Lin Yuan said.

Jiang Chaoyang hissed and patted Yin Zhu on the back: "It's okay, take your time."

Jiang Chaoyang needed to go to the next classroom to invigilate the exam, so he separated from Yin Ju halfway. He went to the teachers' building and walked towards the office.

Just as he passed an office with its door open, a burst of excited chatter made him slow down.

"Professor Yi, the ideas in your paper are really eye-opening."

"Thank you so much for coming to our school to substitute teach."

"Professor Yi, regarding the interdisciplinary project you mentioned, several young people in our department are particularly interested..."

Through the gaps in the crowd, Jiang Chaoyang's eyes caught sight of the people surrounded in the center.

He was a tall man wearing a shirt and vest. He wore a pair of glasses with a pair of red eyes behind the lenses.

The man listened patiently to the compliments from the people around him, with a humble curve on the corner of his mouth. He exuded a gentle and steady, yet distant temperament.

Jiang Chaoyang didn't stay for long and went to the office to get the test paper.

"Teacher Jiang, long time no see." Teacher Yao pulled Jiang Chaoyang over and asked him to sit down, handing him a bottle of water. "We still have some time, so there's no rush."

Jiang Chaoyang glanced around and asked, "Isn't get out of class over? Why is the office so quiet?"

Teacher Yao sighed and pointed to the office not far ahead. "They all went to chat with Professor Yi. The school hired him at a high price, and he's still very young."

She continued, "Professor Yi was invited to participate in the experiment to develop an S-class inhibitor."

Jiang Chaoyang paused as he unscrewed the bottle cap. "So, he joined the SA organization?"

"No, he said he declined because he was too busy."

Jiang Chaoyang was silent for a few seconds, then asked, "What's Professor Yi's name?"

"Yi Yuan."

"Will?"

Teacher Yao shook his head and wrote the two words on the paper.

After the exam, Jiang Chaoyang finished counting the papers and walked towards the teachers' building again, preparing to put them back in the office for filing.

When he was almost at the door, the door next to him opened from the inside and a man walked out. Jiang Chaoyang's arm was accidentally bumped.

The test paper in my arm didn't fall, but the water bottle did.

"Sorry." A gentle and pleasant voice sounded.

The man picked up the water bottle that rolled at his feet and handed it to Jiang Chaoyang: "I accidentally bumped into you, sorry."

The moment Jiang Chaoyang looked into the man's eyes, a chill suddenly ran up his spine. Perhaps it was because the red eyes behind the lenses were too close in color to blood.

But fortunately, the glasses made the man's eyes less scary.

"It's okay." Jiang Chaoyang took the water bottle.

Yi Yuan's gaze lingered on his face, and he asked in surprise, "I didn't expect you to teach here too?"

"Professor Yi knows me?"

He had never seen Yi Yuan's face like this, and he would never forget such red eyes once he saw them.

The curve of Yi Yuan's mouth deepened a little, and he said something that Jiang Chaoyang had heard many times. Jiang Chaoyang was embarrassed and didn't know whether to laugh or not.

He just walked into the wrong private room, how come everyone remembers it?

"I have to go and put the papers away. Goodbye, Professor Yi." Jiang Chaoyang walked quickly and said goodbye to Yi Yuan.

Yi Yuan stood there looking at Jiang Chaoyang's back. His lenses reflected the light, completely concealing the emotions in his eyes. He turned around and left.

Jiang Chaoyang finished packing and left the school. When he was thinking about where to go for dinner, a message suddenly came from his phone:

Ling Niyi: [Do you want to play cards? Do you want to play cards? ]

Jiang Chaoyang: "..."

Three people can play Landlord, I don’t know why they insist on playing in four-player mode.

The three of them took turns bombarding him with messages every day. Jiang Chaoyang had rejected them many times. He stared at the chat interface for a while and finally typed a string of words:

Jiang Chaoyang: [Send the address.]

Ling Niyi sent the address very quickly. Jiang Chaoyang clicked on it and saw that this place was in the city center and was the most expensive place. Only ordinary people could come here to consume.

It seems that these three people are still young masters?

——Marguerite Club.

Jiang Chaoyang told the floor and room number, and the waiter bowed slightly and led the way for him.

"That handsome guy, wait."

A voice sounded from behind. Jiang Chaoyang turned around and the person who came over looked familiar. She was the woman who had talked with Yan Yuyanji before.

Feng Dai naturally squeezed the waiter aside and affectionately took Jiang Chaoyang's arm. "Long time no see, do you remember me? My name is Feng Dai."

The waiter tactfully stepped back half a step and stood quietly aside.

Jiang Chaoyang calmly tried to pull his arm free, but Feng Dai held him tightly and led him to the semi-open booth next to him. "Since you're already here, why are you in such a hurry to leave? Come have a drink with me."

"Sorry, I have an appointment. Let's do it another day." Jiang Chaoyang said helplessly.

"Who is it? So important?"

Jiang Chaoyang shook his phone. The address sent by Ling Niyi was still displayed on the screen. "It's really inconvenient. They are waiting."

After Feng Dai saw who sent the message, she smiled instead: "Let's be a couple with Ling Ni. I know him, it's okay, he'll understand."

"Miss Feng is forcing me again?"

A teasing voice was heard in the distance, and Jiang Chaoyang turned his head to look over.

In the bar area not far away, the light and shadow were hazy. Two men with very different temperaments but equally outstanding were sitting on high stools, one with his head supported by his hand and one finger hooked on the thin handle of the wine glass.

Lou Yuxi smiled, raised her glass and shook it in Feng Dai's direction, as if to say hello.

"What a coincidence, you two." Feng Dai also raised her glass.

Gabriel's hand supported his cheek instead: "Ms. Feng, he's not the one you're looking for, right?"

Feng Dai covered her mouth with a smile and stood up from Jiang Chaoyang. "Looks like I can't help you, handsome guy. Have fun."

While Feng Dai was talking to him, the two men had already arrived.

Lou Yuxi sat next to Jiang Chaoyang, her long legs casually crossed, her arms resting on the back of the sofa, almost half encircling Jiang Chaoyang within her breath range.

Gabriel occupied the empty seat on the other side of Jiang Chaoyang with a cheerful smile on his face. He gave a look to the waiter next to him, and the next second two glasses of wine were served.

Before leaving, Feng Dai looked back and saw this scene. She narrowed her eyes slightly and took out her mobile phone to take a photo.

Gabriel handed the wine to Jiang Chaoyang: "Here, would you like a drink?"

Jiang Chaoyang looked at the wine glass that was about to hit him and was speechless: "I have an appointment."

Jiang Chaoyang was about to stand up, but Gabriel pulled him back, "The person you're meeting hasn't arrived yet, so just sit here for a while."

"? They haven't arrived yet?"

"If you don't believe me, you can ask the waiter to go up and take a look."

Gabriel was afraid that he didn't believe it, so he raised his chin and the waiter immediately went upstairs to check.

Jiang Chaoyang glanced at the cocktail still in front of him, but still took it. He took a sip and asked, "I don't seem to know you guys that well, do I?"

"Wouldn't it be better if I had a drink?"

Jiang Chaoyang's eyelids twitched. As someone who often attended drinking parties, he knew what this sentence meant.

The two men wanted to make friends with him.

Suddenly, the arm on the backrest behind Jiang Chaoyang moved, and one hand stretched out to his neck. The four fingers were put together and stuck just in front of Jiang Chaoyang's Adam's apple, with the protruding cartilage pinched between the fingers.

The force was not strong but it gave a full sense of control, and Jiang Chaoyang's body stiffened.

Lou Yuxi gently turned his neck towards her and said, "Didn't you watch the news? You're running around everywhere. Aren't you afraid of being arrested?"
