Chapter 8 Open the door! I'm here to save you!
After the tutoring time was over, Jiang Chaoyang left the Han family residence and drove back home.
He checked the time on his phone. It was not yet evening. Jiang Chaoyang planned to cook a meal and send it to Yin Zhu. He fiddled in the kitchen for a while, and the clanging sound of the spatula seemed to be grinding out sparks.
An hour later, Jiang Chaoyang looked at the masterpiece on the plate with satisfaction. He took out his mobile phone, took a photo and sent it to Yin Zhu.
Jiang Chaoyang felt something was wrong just after typing a few words.
He sent it to the wrong person.
Before I could withdraw the message, the other party replied:
Han Shuquan: [Is this shit?]
Han Shuquan: [Wrong number, what is this? ]
Jiang Chaoyang: "..."
The silence lasted for a century. Jiang Chaoyang looked at the masterpiece on the plate, then looked at the message on his phone that deafened him into silence.
The next second Jiang Chaoyang threw all the vegetables into the trash can.
But after a while, Han Shuquan sent another message, which was a picture of the finished cake. Jiang Chaoyang clicked on it to enlarge it and saw that the framed flowers were extremely delicate.
Han Shuquan: [I did it.]
Jiang Chaoyang: [Can you also bake cakes? ]
Han Shuquan: [Hmm.]
Jiang Chaoyang put away his phone. He decided to use the simplest method, bringing a box of milk and a barrel of oil. There would be no mistakes.
--night.
Jiang Chaoyang knocked on the door.
After waiting for several minutes and no one opened the door, he was about to make a phone call to ask when the door finally moved. He saw a transparent blue slime floating in the air.
Jiang Chaoyang glanced around the living room. "Where's Yin Zhu?"
"In the room."
Jiang Chaoyang put down his things and walked towards the closed door, but before he took two steps, he was stopped by the system:
"Don't go, he won't listen."
"Actually, I wanted him to eat something."
Jiang Chaoyang pointed to the dessert bag on the table and asked, "Have you reached a conclusion? Is he still unwilling?"
The silence of the system made Jiang Chaoyang realize that something was wrong. The scene was quiet for a moment, and the next second the system flew into his arms. Jiang Chaoyang subconsciously raised his hand to catch it.
The system wailed, "How can there be such a difficult host?! Aren't hosts in online novels always very cooperative in completing missions? Why is the style different here?"
Jiang Chaoyang sighed silently and sat down on the sofa with the slime in his hand.
He pinched the soft, cool touch, "That's because you let him come without his consent. Besides, he has no desire to live."
“But, but…”
"Don't make it too difficult for others."
"But he said he was going to kill them all."
Jiang Chaoyang: ???
What the hell?
"He said he wouldn't choose any one person to capture, but that would make the plot develop in the direction of the original NPC." The system was almost dumbfounded:
"And then he said he would get rid of them."
Jiang Chaoyang held his forehead with his hand, "This idea is too horrifying."
Putting aside whether he can do it or not, let's just talk about how he can resist so many attacking characters?
The system's next words made Jiang Chaoyang even more restless: "The problem is, once a character dies, the entire book will collapse."
"And you will die."
"What??!"
Jiang Chaoyang jumped up from the sofa on the spot, "What the hell! Is this how you play?!"
He stood up and walked towards Yin Zu's room, but the back of his fingers, which were about to knock on the door, hung in the air. He turned his hand and rubbed his hair.
No, what right does he have to persuade others? And what right does he have to ask others to do those things?
Yin Zhu was chosen because of bad luck.
Jiang Chaoyang walked back to the living room and sat down again.
The system said: "...Actually, I didn't bring him here by force."
Jiang Chaoyang was surprised, "What's going on?"
"Yin Zhu and I were both randomly matched together. We both entered this book directly, but I didn't expect that he was unwilling to be resurrected."
The system carefully observed Jiang Chaoyang's expression, "Now that I say this, are you less angry with me?"
Jiang Chaoyang paused, then smiled helplessly, "I'm not angry with you, nor do I want to blame you."
The system froze in mid-air, listening to Jiang Chaoyang continue:
"Everyone is forced to do something when they need it, and everyone's position is different." Jiang Chaoyang rested his hands on the back of his head and leaned back on the sofa:
"Besides, if you were really that bad, why would you tell me so much?"
"……Thanks."
Jiang Chaoyang stared at the ceiling and asked, "I remember you said he died of cancer, right?"
"Yes, I have relevant information here." The system said, and moved the virtual screen in front of him.
Yin Ju has been in poor health since childhood, as if he was cursed. He has been plagued by various diseases since childhood. Even though he has been actively receiving treatment, the effect can be said to be almost completely useless.
He basically grew up in the hospital and suddenly developed cancer when he became an adult. In order to survive, he took chemotherapy medicine continuously, but this made his body extremely weak.
Jiang Chaoyang opened his eyes wide when he saw the last column of words.
Yin Zhu died because he pulled out the oxygen tube himself.
Time passed minute by minute, and Jiang Chaoyang suddenly stood up.
The system saw Jiang Chaoyang still walking towards Yin Curse's room, "Wait, he won't listen even if you tell him."
Jiang Chaoyang didn't stop, but turned his head and gave him a comforting smile: "It's okay."
The system was stunned.
Jiang Chaoyang did not choose to knock on the door, but directly pressed the doorknob. He probably thought that Yin Zhu would not pay attention to him even if he knocked.
There was no light on in the room, but fortunately the curtains were not drawn. The cold moonlight slanted in, covering the big bed in the center of the room.
Yin Zhu was sitting in the moonlight.
He leaned against the headboard, a dark thin quilt casually draped around his waist, his eyes fixed on the window, his handsome, almost sharp face expressionless.
Jiang Chaoyang closed the door gently, walked silently to the bed, and placed the bag of dessert on the bedside table.
"I brought you some food." Jiang Chaoyang said.
Yin Zhu's gaze remained outside the window, as if he hadn't heard anything, or perhaps he had heard something but didn't want to respond.
"I'm not here to persuade you." Jiang Chaoyang spoke again, his tone serious, "Don't worry."
Yin Zhu turned his head.
Being stared at with such cold eyes, Jiang Chaoyang showed no fear. "I know this so-called mission is very annoying to you."
"In a sense, you have been reborn. Whether you like it or not, it is already a fact." Jiang Chaoyang sat down beside the bed and said:
"It's a bit fucked up, but it looks like you're here and you've already lived. Why not start a fresh start?"
Yin Zu's eyelashes trembled slightly. He looked at Jiang Chaoyang silently, his eyes still cold.
"I know I'm just talking nonsense. You can't get over that hurdle. You're tired of living." Jiang Chaoyang opened the dessert bag, took out a delicate little cake and handed it to him:
"You can't eat delicious food when you're sick, right? Why don't you start by tasting some delicious food?"
