Chapter 25 Behind the Scenes

As soon as Oakland returned to the dormitory, he received a video call request from De Lagar.

"Congratulations!! I saw on the official website that you passed the transfer assessment! You will be a student of the Heraldry Department from now on!" Without waiting for Oakland to speak, Delagar spoke like a machine gun.

"So fast?" Auckland was a little surprised at the speed of the news release at first, but when he thought of the principles of fairness, justice and openness that the school has always advocated, he felt relieved. After all, it was something that everyone would know, so it didn't matter whether it was sooner or later.

"Yes! You can watch your assessment process after clicking in. However, I didn't have time to watch it before I saw the results and couldn't help but send you a message. Was the assessment content difficult? Did the assessment process go smoothly?"

"Yeah, it's not that difficult. It went quite smoothly." Auckland said this without any guilt. He had no idea that someone was deliberately making things difficult for him by drawing the fire elemental magic pattern. He felt that it was not difficult at all. The difficult part was how to fully display the overall pattern while ensuring that the production would not fail.

However, if Charles heard this, he would probably be angry to death by Auckland.

"Hahaha! You're awesome! So when are you planning on moving into the dorm?"

"Moving dormitories? Why do we need to move dormitories?"

"You've already changed departments, so how can you still live with people from the Mecha Maintenance Department? You need to move to Area C."

"That's right, I almost forgot about that."

"Hey, hurry up and go to the Dormitory Management Section under the Logistics Department on the school's official website to register your department transfer information and apply for a dormitory change."

"OK."

After hanging up the phone, Auckland turned on his laptop and logged into the school's official website. Sure enough, he saw his transfer application marked green in the public information column, indicating that he had officially become a student of the Heraldry Department.

He went to the Logistics Department's section and filled out a "Registration Form for New Dormitory for Transfer Students" in the Dormitory Management Section.

Five minutes later he received an email informing him that his registration information had been verified to be correct and he could move to the new dormitory tomorrow. He had several dormitory options to choose from, including quadruple room, triple room, double room, single room and single deluxe room.

The dormitory is charged on a monthly basis, with payment made once every quarter and a one-month deposit. That means if he needs to move to a new dormitory tomorrow, he will have to pay four months' rent first.

He looked at the prices: a quadruple room costs 500 federal coins per month, a triple room costs 650 federal coins per month, a double room costs 800 federal coins per month, an ordinary single room costs 1000 federal coins, and a deluxe single room costs 1500 federal coins.

Auckland took a look at his account balance and confidently chose the deluxe single room.

After confirming his information, Auckland paid on the online payment page that popped up. He then received a confirmation message from the dormitory management office, informing him of his new room number and that his room would open at 9:00 AM the next day. His current room's access would automatically close after the expiration date. It just so happened that his father had already paid for his dormitory for a year, and that was almost due.

Since he had nothing to do in the afternoon, he might as well continue his cultivation. He should be able to break through to the third level of Qi Refining today. Oakland sent Delagar a message, explaining that he would be in seclusion that afternoon. If he had anything, he could leave him a message or meet him on StarNet that evening.

De Lagar's response was still quick, indicating that he understood. He and Rachel still had final exams to prepare for in a week, so they had to hurry up and review their theoretical knowledge.

After drinking a bottle of nutrient solution, Auckland began to meditate. The light brain automatically entered the do not disturb mode again, and missed a lot of calls from unfamiliar numbers.

********

Campbell family residence.

Milena was anxiously waiting for news from George, but after waiting for a long time, she finally received a message that George was arrested for carrying dangerous goods!

Thinking of that high-dose anesthetic, Milna's heartbeats raced. While anesthetics weren't considered contraband, their circulation and use were subject to certain restrictions. George, carrying a high dose of anesthetic, had been suspiciously wandering around the dormitory campus for nearly an hour and a half. The school's patrols were all real soldiers.

If George cannot give a reasonable explanation, the charge of carrying such items that may endanger the personal safety of others will be a serious crime, and it will definitely not be solved by just putting him in solitary confinement.

Now, Milna couldn't care less about Auckland and hurried to consult Edmund. Fortunately, after she learned about Auckland's true mental strength level last night, she immediately made two preparations and didn't put all her hopes on George alone.

Therefore, the most urgent thing for her was to find a way to get her son out of the confinement room.

Milena cried in front of Edmund, saying that when George was waiting downstairs at Oakland, someone reported him for suspicious behavior. In order to fulfill Edmund's idea, George carried an anesthetic with him. Now he was caught by the patrol and pushed all the blame onto Oakland.

"What?! That damn thing! How dare it even harm its own brother! Has it really grown wings?!" As expected, Edmund smashed another cup in anger and immediately called Auckland, but no one answered. "Damn it! It just won't answer the call!"

Myrna cried even more sadly, but Edmund could not think of any other way and could only comfort her softly.

"How could George stay in a place like the solitary confinement room? Otherwise..."

"What else?" Edmund looked at his wife anxiously.

"Are you going to ask General Arnold for help?"

"This..." Edmund hesitated.

"No, no, no, General Arnold must not know about this, otherwise George will be left in his mind as a bad impression." If it weren't for the consideration of George's image in the eyes of the general's family, Myrna could have come forward herself and pleaded with General Arnold's wife.

But now George was facing such an unpleasant accusation, arrested downstairs from his brother's dorm, with whom he was not close. Others might not have thought of this, but the general's wife was a woman who had seen a lot. It was obvious what was going on, and it would only lower George's impression of the general, which was not worth the loss.

So Milna had no intention of asking General Arnold for help from the beginning, but to pave the way for what happened next.

"Yes, yes, General Arnold must not know about this." Edmund nodded repeatedly, "But is there any other way?"

"There is a way, but I'm afraid you won't be willing to do it." Myrna looked at Edmund with her beautiful eyes blurred with tears, showing pity.

"How could I not be willing to do that? George is my most precious son, how could I bear to let him suffer?" Edmund couldn't bear to see his beautiful wife showing such an expression, so he immediately said heroically.

"Do you remember that I attended the banquet at General Arnold's house last month?"

"I remember." Edmund had no idea what the connection was between the party and his son.

"The general's wife introduced me to Mr. Charles Hank, the vice president of the First Federal Military Academy. I can ask him for help in getting George released, but I'm afraid he'll have to offer some benefits."

"That's good, that's good." Hearing this, Edmund nodded repeatedly. "How much does it cost?"

"Two hundred thousand federal coins." Actually, I don't need that much, but I've already asked that person for help last night. If he asks me again so soon, I'm afraid I won't be able to hire anyone without more preparation.

"This..." When Edmund heard that it would cost two hundred thousand federal coins, he felt extremely distressed. However, when he thought that George was arrested because he wanted to complete the task he had assigned, for the sake of the Campbell family's reputation, he had to grit his teeth and endure it.

"That's great, husband, you are so nice." Myrna smiled and began to sweet-talk Edmund, acting coquettishly and affectionately. She finally made Edmund happy and he willingly transferred 200,000 federal coins to Myrna.

After getting the money, Milna hid in the bedroom and called Charles' number.

When the communication was connected, Charles appeared on the screen with a gloomy expression. Judging from the background, he should be in his office.

Milna quickly asked, "Mr. Charles, how is the transfer assessment going?"

Charles slammed the table with an angry look on his face. "Didn't you say yesterday that his spiritual power had just evolved and he had never come into contact with the emblem? Then what's going on?!"

As he spoke, he sent a short video to Milna. In the video, a clean and refreshing young man was slowly drawing magic patterns on an energy board.

"I chose the most difficult elemental emblem for him. Even Master Ivan could only create a virtual emblem, but he's almost finished it on his first try! If he weren't unfamiliar with elemental magic patterns and had no experience, I'm afraid our First Military Academy would have a genius herald master!" That being said, Oakland's performance was actually quite good. Didn't you see how obvious it was from Comer and Terry? Even old man Butler was very fond of him!

When Charles thought about how lucky Hall Williams was to have picked up such a treasure for free, he was so angry that his lungs were about to explode!

"This...how is it possible..." Milna said in disbelief.

"Humph, you've all been fooled by this idiot. He must have evolved a long time ago, but he just didn't let you know. He even studied heraldry for a long time without your knowledge. Otherwise, he wouldn't have been able to pass such a difficult theoretical test."

When Milna heard this, she agreed with it and immediately began to hate Auckland even more.

"Mr. Charles, leave this matter to me. Tomorrow I'll have Edmund take the earliest passenger airship to Niemira to handle Auckland's withdrawal procedures!"

"What if he doesn't agree?" Charles asked a little worriedly.

"Why would he disagree? Edmund and I are his guardians! Anyway, the semester is almost over. As Auckland's guardians, we have every right to bring him home. As long as we don't pay his tuition, there's no way this poor brat will ever go back to the First Federal Military Academy!"

"Well, very good." Charles nodded slightly. The airship ticket between the two planets is not cheap, and the First Federal Military Academy, as the top-notch military academy, charges quite high fees. If Auckland really goes back to the Campbell family with them, he will definitely not be able to return to Niemira.

"By the way, Lord Charles, I have one more thing I'd like to trouble you with." Myrna said as she transferred 100,000 federal coins to Charles's account. "My son George was arrested by the patrol. I don't know who reported him for suspicious behavior. Could you please help him intercede? It's just a small token of my gratitude, please accept it."

"No problem, leave it to me." Charles looked at the amount of money transferred by Milena, and finally a smile appeared on his face.

**********

"How is it?" Hall came out of the gravity training room, shaking his sweaty hair. His naked upper body looked mighty and strong, his wheat-colored skin had a charming luster, and with his eight perfect abdominal muscles and mermaid line, he was as dazzling and charming as a walking hormone.

Chris quickly brought a towel and water, and quickly reported what happened this morning.

"Didn't you ask me to take care of that poor little thing? I actually found some clues."

"Tell me about it." Hall took a big gulp of ice water, walked to the massage chair, sat down, closed his eyes and rested.

This massage chair is specially used for soldiers to relax their muscles and bones after training. The force is quite strong and most people can't bear it. Only someone with Hall's S-class physique can enjoy it.

"That poor kid is quite capable. A blessing in disguise, he evolved his mental power again, reaching Double-A level. Dr. Jenny wrote him a letter of recommendation, which is why he was able to pass the review so quickly and enter the assessment phase." Chris paused and continued, "But the poor kid's family doesn't seem to want him to take the transfer assessment. His brother forced him to cancel his application yesterday, but he refused. Early this morning, that brat was squatting downstairs from the poor kid. Later, he even received a large dose of anesthetic. He really will do anything to achieve his goal!"

Hearing this, Hall opened his eyes, obviously dissatisfied with his deliberate suspense.

Chris could only shrink his neck. "I sent an anonymous message to the patrol, reporting the poor little brother for acting suspiciously, and then he was arrested!"

"Well, then?"

"Then the poor little thing went to take the transfer exam...but..."

"But what?" Hall gave him a disgruntled look. "If you keep dithering, we'll go to the training room for a couple of rounds."

"No, no, no! Boss, don't be impulsive!" Chris waved his hands repeatedly, and hurriedly told him that Charles and Butler suddenly appeared at the assessment site, and also sent him the assessment video published on the official website.
