Everyone looked up and saw that it was Hall Williams. This man seemed to possess a powerful aura, as he walked slowly and leisurely, yet no one dared to approach him.
"Why are you here?" Charles said with a gloomy face.
Hall glanced over coldly, "What's it to you?"
"What did you say?!" Charles was so angry that his face turned red and his neck became thick.
"I'm here to see my fiancé." Hall turned and walked towards Auckland, grabbing his wrist and saying, "Didn't you say you wanted to watch my sparring practice? Let's go."
Auckland stared at the man before him, who looked increasingly dazzling the closer he got, and for a moment, he wasn't sure how to react. It seemed he'd never spoken to his 'fiancé' before, so why would he have made an appointment with him to watch some sort of sparring match?
Could it be... that he came here specifically to help me?
As far as he could remember, apart from the engagement with Hall, the original owner seemed to have never had any other contact with him. Hall should be very disgusted with this engagement, so why would he come to stand up for him?
Just when Auckland was puzzled, he felt his wrist tighten and was dragged away by the tall man in front of him.
"Nonsense!" Charles slammed the table. "Hall Williams! This is the principal's office! How can you be so presumptuous?! Oakland Campbell's guardians are here and want to take him home to recuperate. It's their right! You'll have to postpone your combat training for now!"
Hall stopped, turned around, and gave him a meaningful smile. His sharp eyes made the hairs on Charles' back stand up.
"Guardian?" Hall's lips curled up in a mocking smile. "I remember I'm one of his guardians, so I should have the right to object, right?"
The marriage contract between Hall Williams and Oakland Campbell was notarized and legally binding. When one of the fiancés is a minor, the adult spouse automatically becomes one of their guardians. Therefore, upon reaching adulthood, Hall became Oakland's guardian.
"Mr. Edmund and Mrs. Myrna are Auckland's parents. They have greater guardianship rights!"
"Really?" Hall said nonchalantly, "I remember Auckland's mother wasn't called Myrna."
Charles' face froze suddenly. He then remembered that Myrna was Auckland's stepmother and they had no blood relationship. Only if her biological father died could Myrna obtain custody of Auckland.
In other words, the custody of Oakland is now half between Edmund and Hall.
"When the two guardians disagree, the ward can make his or her own choice." Hall looked at Oakland. "What do you think?"
What will Auckland choose?
Hehe... This is an answer that you can guess with your toes.
With Hall by his side, Oakland suddenly felt more confident. He smiled and answered slowly and clearly, "I don't want to go back. Senior Hall is preparing to participate in the Rookie Mecha Competition. I want to stay and cheer him on."
"What?! How can this be?" Milena hurriedly looked at Charles for help, but found that his face was ashen and ugly.
When Charles heard the words "Rookie Mecha Competition", his face became even uglier.
The election for the new head of state was approaching, and General Williams and General Percy were both very popular. His backers had finally managed to pin joint responsibility on the troublemaker, Hall, revoking his military practice qualifications and sending him back to school. This was to prevent Hall from earning military merit and increasing General Williams' prestige. Unexpectedly, Hall attempted to return to the military by participating in the Rookie Mech Competition, thus ruining their plans.
Auckland deliberately brought this up, which was simply a slap in his face!
Seeing that they were planning to leave like this, Charles shouted angrily, "Stop! You are military students, but you don't know how to respect your teachers and respect your parents! According to school rules, I can punish you by putting you in solitary confinement!"
"Oh?" Hall raised his eyebrows. "If you dare, I have no objection."
"What am I afraid of?!" Charles roared almost like a roar.
"Yes, respected Vice Principal Charles, is there anything you dare not do? Accepting bribes and abusing your power for personal gain, it seems you have done this kind of thing a lot, right? Otherwise, I will publicize your story so that all the teachers and students in the school will know about your fearless spirit?" The sarcasm on Hall's face became more and more intense.
At this moment, Charles' throat seemed to be strangled and he could no longer utter a word.
"It seems that the vice principal is not going to lock us up. Let's go!" Hall pulled Oakland out the door again.
"You... Oakland! If you leave, don't even think about me giving you a penny!" Edmund didn't dare to provoke Hall and could only yell at Oakland.
Oakland thought he was farting and followed Hall without looking back.
As Hall turned, he glanced at Edmund, whose face had turned the color of liver. He was worried about his intelligence. Auckland had already awakened Double-A psychic power and successfully transferred to the Heraldry Department. His future was limitless. Was he still worried about not being able to make money? Threatening him with money was a real idea.
The two walked out of the Academic Affairs Office together, and the moment they left the building, Hall immediately let go of her hand.
"Senior Hall, thank you so much for what you did just now." Oakland thanked him sincerely.
"Yeah." Hall responded coldly, looking at his fiancé whom he had just met. He looked more pleasing to the eye than he had imagined, but there was nothing special about him. "I just felt sorry for you. It's nothing else. I'll leave now."
After saying that, he turned and was about to leave.
"Senior Hall," Oakland quickly called out to him, "Just consider it a favor I owe you. If you need anything, feel free to contact me."
"No need." Hall refused coldly and left.
Oakland didn't feel angry at all. Although Hall looked very indifferent, it could be seen from the fact that he came over to help him that he was a good person.
He is a man who repays kindness and takes revenge. Hall helped him today, and if Hall needs anything in the future, he will do his best.
At this time, Hall didn't know what he had rejected. When he discovered the true identity of the mysterious herald, his psychological activities were extremely rich.
Although Milna and Edmund were extremely reluctant, they had no choice but to give up. Now that Hall had intervened, if they tried to use any unnatural means to get Oakland back, they would probably incur retaliation from Hall or even General Williams. In the end, they had no choice but to leave Niemira in disgrace.
