Lian Han rubbed his temples. "Did they come on a cargo ship?"
“Yes.” Pei Sumei lowered her head again. “But it’s not smuggling. My mother bought me a ticket for tomorrow’s flight, but she was worried about my safety, so she arranged for me to board a cargo ship.”
Who was on that flight?
“A woman who was originally trying to smuggle herself into the country. My mother did something to switch us.” After saying this, Pei Sumei hesitated for a moment but still didn’t mention that the other person was a murderer who was trying to evade legal punishment by smuggling herself into the country.
Should she make the other party bear the danger that her daughter should have faced? Lian Han frowned, but didn't say anything. Aunt Pei had already done what she was supposed to do, and now she was in trouble herself. Could she really go and question her?
"Lift your head up."
"Sister, I was wrong." Pei Sumei slowly raised her head.
Lian Han reached out and tapped her forehead. "You! You don't need to be so humble when you talk to me. But the cake I ordered for you is no longer available."
Pei Sumei's face immediately fell. "Will there be more in the future?"
"It depends on how you behave." Lian Han extended his hand to her. "Let's go. I'll take you back to your place first."
"That sister's class..."
"I've taken leave," Lian Han said, though a little uncertain. Han Ningshu should have seen the message, right?
The incident happened so suddenly that she only had time to send a message to her class teacher, Han Ningshu, before rushing over with her Butterfly Shadow Card, then retrieving the card and rescuing the person.
Pei Sumei, unaware of what Lian Han was thinking, took Lian Han's arm and said, "Let's go home first."
Unaware that he had already skipped class, Lian Han nodded, "Okay."
