How could he tell? Lian Han was taken aback. After the old man's reminder, she had already folded her wings, changed into ordinary clothes, and hidden her pointed ears. How did he find out?
"The energy fluctuations are different." Perhaps sensing her confusion, the lord explained, "You don't understand the Demon Abyss. What brings you here?"
"Just to see it for myself."

"What brings you here, lord?"

"What restrictions?"
"You have to choose one of the two: either go to the real Demon Abyss, or stay in my palace temporarily until the entrance to the Demon Abyss opens again, and then I'll throw you in."
I choose the former.
The lord was slightly surprised. "You don't even know what's there?"

"Then I wish you good luck. If you return safely, I will treat you as an honored guest." Without the lord making any move, Lian Han first sensed an energy fluctuation similar to the previous one. Liz Akame scrutinized Lian Han in her Butterfly Shadow Card form, then her eyes lit up. "Little Han? You actually have a card like this?"
Lian Han nodded, not surprised that she knew Old Man Xing had a similar god-level card. "Hmm. Can you sense similar cards now?"
"Why are you looking for them? Have you finally given up on me?"
Liz looked displeased. Although the Special Character Cards were all created by His Majesty Juecheng, the relationships between the cards were complex. For example, Liz and Kasper were the only two Zerg cards among them, yet they were always arguing whenever they met, and fighting was commonplace among the other cards. Of course, these fights could only take place without the master's knowledge.
"No. I heard they're in danger. After all, they're all the teacher's cards, I hope they're all alright."
This reasoning clearly convinced Liz. She hesitated for a moment, pointed to her right, and then asked, "Where is this place? Why does it feel so familiar?"
"Magic stream."
"Is it that Demon Abyss?" Liz's eyes lit up, then she took Lian Han's arm. "Let's go quickly."
So excited? Lian Han was puzzled, but she didn't ask any more questions, nor did she inquire about the dangers of this Demon Abyss from Old Man Xing—if she could be in danger even with a god-level card, then she would truly be utterly shameful.
After speeding along for more than ten minutes with their 3S speed, the two stopped in front of a ditch. A cold wind blew from below, making them feel a chill down their spines.
What exactly is the Demon Abyss?
“The Jedi. It used to be known as a place where there was no chance of survival.” Liz explained, her tone tinged with pride. “Unfortunately, the record of no chance of survival was broken by the master, who even rescued a sea creature from it. What was that sea creature again? I almost worshipped him to death back then. It’s hateful that card is so ungrateful. It thanked the master and then turned around to seek revenge, slaughtering that city and causing them to blame the master for it.”
According to the old man, he was responsible for letting Hathaway go to seek revenge and for the cards going out of control.
"What exactly is in that Demon Abyss?" Lian Han tried to steer the conversation back on track.
“Darkness. Strange wind, and—” Liz’s expression suddenly changed, and she pulled Lian Han even tighter. The biting wind blew from behind, almost causing the two of them to fall into the huge ravine.
It's only July, and even the Demon Abyss outside is sweltering hot. How come it feels like the dead of winter here? And why does she feel cold despite her divine power? This is too strange.
The wind blew for a while and then gradually subsided. Liz breathed a sigh of relief. "It wasn't a strong wind, so it seems we're not too unlucky. But Xiaohan, the person you're looking for should be in the ravine."
As she finished speaking, Liz's expression revealed obvious schadenfreude. They've finally met their match! Serves them right!
Is there any danger below?
"It depends on luck—huh?" Liz frowned and looked in a certain direction.

"And who are you?" Ning Jue was also somewhat surprised. This girl wasn't one of the character cards he'd seen from His Majesty Juecheng, so she must be the one who had recently entered the Demon Abyss. It wasn't Lian Han, was it?
