After taking over his body, Lian Han looked up and saw Ning Jue's complicated gaze. "What's wrong with you? Shouldn't you be happy to see him still here?"
"I'm happy," Ning Jue said, but Lian Han's expression remained strange.
Lian Han couldn't help but ask, "Did he tell you some embarrassing things about me from the past?"
"Do you have any other embarrassing stories to tell?"
Lian Han coughed lightly, "Who doesn't have a dark past? What did that old man say to you? You're acting strangely."
"It's really nothing." Ning Jue looked away. "He just gave me a few tasks, and they're all quite difficult."
Just as Lian Han was about to ask what could be so difficult for a general like him, he heard the starship's alarm.
"Warning: A large number of unidentified warships have been detected ahead. We are now in combat alert mode. Passengers, please proceed to the command center immediately."

"Wow! Someone actually dares to plot against your old starship?"
Ning Jue frowned as well, "I'll go take a look first."
"I'll go too."
Amidst flashing red lights in the corridor and repeated reminders, the two finally arrived at the command room.
"How come..." Lian Han paused, and then saw many starships, or rather, warships, appear on the screen.
The black hull carried a touch of mystery in the equally dark universe, much like the warships she had seen before. However, it was cooler and more dangerous, with energy cannons that were vaguely visible charging up.
Lian Han blinked. Was she seeing things? These warships looked somewhat familiar?
[Are you seeing things? This group of warships blocked your way once before, just a few days after the New Year. Look at your luck!] Xing Yucheng complained.
Lian Han: ...
She knew who it was.
Lian Han frowned. "[You've come looking for me?]"
[You can't possibly be asking for trouble with General Ning, can you? Have you forgotten about standing me up during the summer vacation?]
Lian Han remained silent. A few days after the New Year, she had been surrounded by warships. The Heavens had invited her to visit, but she declined, citing classes as an excuse, and rescheduled for summer vacation. Then, during summer vacation—the girl broke her promise and went to Planet Tri, followed by the Demon Abyss. By the time she returned, school had already started.
The heavens have finally come after her this time, and it seems things won't end well.
Noticing her worry, General Ning patted the girl on the shoulder and said, "Don't worry, even if something happens, I'll take care of it."
Lian Han nodded slightly, his gaze sweeping over the surrounding pilots. He noticed that although they all frowned, they didn't seem particularly worried. He instantly understood that they weren't afraid of these warships. After all, he was General Ning. Although he guarded the northern border of the Federation, his high position and power attracted the covetous eyes of many. He must have something to rely on to dare to sail around in a starship like this.
Ning Jue smiled at Lian Han, then looked at the busy adjutant Yu, "Yu Hui, have you made contact yet?"
"Just wait a bit longer—it's done." Yu Hui looked at the screen and instantly breathed a sigh of relief. He had finally finished before the general became impatient.
The screen then switched to a similar command center scene, where a man leaned back in his chair, wearing a mask that revealed only his handsome lips. "Miss Ling, General, how are you?"
Seeing him appear, the adjutant suddenly felt a sense of déjà vu. This wasn't—
Ning Jue looked at the girl, his gaze seemingly saying, "Looking for you?"
Lian Han coughed lightly, looked at the person on the screen, and said innocently, "Brother, I was waiting for you guys this summer. But you didn't come, and I had to leave because I had other things to do."
The implication was that it wasn't her who broke the promise, but rather that they were late.
The man poured himself a glass of red wine. "If I remember correctly, Miss, you said the wait was only three hours? Are you sure you're not waiting for the starship to depart, which is why you haven't disappeared from the Imperial Capital Star immediately?"
Lian Han blinked, and her "Little White Flower" skill was immediately maxed out. "Is that so? It's been a while, I don't think I can remember it clearly."
"Miss, you're quite a surprise. Won't you come and visit me at my humble abode?"
What if I say no?
"Then we'll have to have our subordinates invite her. Unlike last time when it was just on our way, this time we came specifically to invite Miss Ling."
Lian Han's face darkened. So, when the warships from all the heavens surrounded them last time, he was just threatening her along the way?
Ning Jue raised an eyebrow, his imposing presence radiating without anger. "The Heavenly Realms have been rampant for too long; have they forgotten who calls the shots in the Federation?"
The man's smile vanished, and he said seriously, "Of course it's you, sir. But this young lady has a reason why she absolutely must go."
Lian Han was about to retort when the man's next words startled him so much that his heart skipped a beat: "After all, no matter how powerful the heavens are, they can't possibly invite Madam Shen."
How did you know?
The man paused for a moment, then said, "Let me put it this way. There's someone who's dying, and all he wants to do before he dies is see you one last time."
Lian Han: ?
She's dead, so what? Why bother seeing her? Can she save anyone?
"Who is it?" Ning Jue asked.
"All I can say is that his surname is Shen."
Looking around Lian Han, the only people with the surname Shen are her mother and Aunt Shen, and—Lian Han should have originally had the surname Shen too. But Lian Han quickly frowned, "What does his surname Shen have to do with me? I don't even know him."
"Believe me, Miss, you'll definitely regret it if you don't go. Aren't you curious about what kind of people could raise Madam Ling and Madam Shen like that?"
Lian Han was naturally curious. But who could guarantee that what he said was true, given the way Zhu Tian invited people—
