Chapter 62 Jiang Chenrui

"How did he know my location?" Lian Han asked after seeing the guest off. On the SkyNet, unless two people have reached a certain level of intimacy, they cannot display each other's locations.

Old Xing: [You'd have to ask him. How would I know?]

Lian Han had only asked casually and had no real suspicion of him. [Alright. Is this Bei Ting trustworthy?]

[No problem. After all these years, you must have a few close friends; otherwise, the old man wouldn't have asked you to reveal your identity.]

Bei Ting and that little rascal were once the most important people to him. But unlike that rascal, Bei Ting would not betray him—if even he betrayed him, Old Man Xing felt there was no point in continuing his death throes here.

[That's settled then. I'm off to study.] Upon receiving Anhe's message, Lian Han sprang up from the sofa, full of fighting spirit.

Old Xing didn't comment on her enthusiasm; martial arts skills aren't something that can be mastered overnight. She went there today purely to torture herself.

Virtual battle room.

"Young Miss! You've finally arrived." Anhe said with a teasing tone.

"I was blocked at the birthplace, which caused a delay."

“Okay, I forgive you. Now, let me introduce you. This is Jiang Chenrui, the top student of the second year at the Mecha Academy.” An He pointed to the person next to him and smiled.

"Hello." The black-haired youth extended his hand to Lian Han in a friendly manner.

"Hello, I'm Lian Han." Lian Han shook hands. Jiang Chenrui, it was unclear what his relationship with Jiang Chenxi was.

"This wasn't originally Jiang Xuechang's turn, but Xiao Han, you've really hit the jackpot today. Let's begin, let's begin. Just so you know, Xiao Han has absolutely no fighting skills." The last half of the sentence was clearly directed at Jiang Chenrui.

"This is troublesome," Lian Han said.

"Before I teach you, I need to test your reaction speed. So we'll have a spar first," Jiang Chenrui said calmly.

Lian Han nodded, having no objection.

"here we go."

As soon as Jiang Chenrui finished speaking, a punch was already in front of Lian Han. The girl suppressed the urge to throw the card and dodged to the side.

However, the opponent changed his move even faster, swinging his arm horizontally and striking Lian Han's left shoulder...

After witnessing a one-sided abuse for the next 20 minutes, Anhe finally couldn't help but say, "Enough! You're asking me to teach her, not to abuse her."

Jiang Chenrui remained unmoved.

Anhe frowned, intending to use his rights as homeowner to stop the conflict, when suddenly his gaze froze.

Just now, Lian Han threw a punch? And it seems like it actually hit?

Or was she seeing things? What happened next proved that Anhe was not mistaken. Somehow, Lian Han slowly began to fight back from his previous disadvantage, and then the situation became evenly matched.

It must be because Senior Jiang let her have her way! That must be it! Anhe hypnotized herself.

An opportunity arose, and Jiang Chenrui stepped back and withdrew his hand, saying, "Stop."

Lian Han stopped, then looked puzzled. Was the counterattack just now her doing?

“Lian Han, it’s not that you can’t fight, it’s just that you’ve forgotten you can.” Jiang Chenrui said, emphasizing each word.

Forgot? Lian Han was taken aback.

"Furthermore, you take too long to get into combat mode. If I wanted to kill you, you would be dead right at the start."

"But I forgot why it still happens..."

“Although you don’t remember, your body’s memory is still there. But that would mean fighting has become second nature to you, to remember so clearly.” Jiang Chenrui walked back. “What have you been through?”

Lian Han frowned. "I can't remember. How do you know I forgot?"

“Junior Lance said you had no fighting background, and that was true at first, but you were able to hold your own later on. If you didn’t forget, then you must have been hiding your skills.”

That's true.

Lian Han glanced at Jiang Chenrui again, feeling that something was wrong, but then again, there seemed to be nothing wrong.

[Old man, I actually know how to fight!]

Old Man Xing: ...

Old Xing said he didn't want to talk to her. The slap in the face came too quickly.

[Old man, you've forgotten what happened before, but your body can still remember it?] Lian Han, who had roughly guessed what he was thinking, was just making conversation for the sake of it. He was determined to provoke the old man as much as possible.

[Go away—]

Does this girl even understand the point? She learned martial arts before she was 8 years old, and it's still applicable now, yet she has absolutely no recollection of it. It must have been a hellish experience for her, right? And she still has the leisure to provoke him like this?

Moreover, although Jiang Chenrui hid it well, his murderous aura couldn't be hidden from this old man, and his hands were probably stained with a lot of blood. It was impossible for someone his age to go to the battlefield to kill insectoids; those hands would most likely be stained with human lives.

If Lian Han knew his worries, he would definitely say that with the Blood Nether Flower already out, how could she have been alright before? Besides, regardless of the past, she truly doesn't remember anything now, and it doesn't matter anymore; it's all in the past. As for Jiang Chenrui, he's just a senior…

Anhe, who was about to make a sarcastic remark, immediately turned to confusion upon hearing their conversation. "How could you not remember? How could Xiaohan forget something like fighting?"

"I just can't remember. I don't remember anything before I was 8 years old. This amnesia seems to be selective, probably because that period was too terrible," Lian Han said nonchalantly.

"Xiao Han, you—" An He looked at Jiang Chenrui, "Let's call it a day. Thank you, senior."

Jiang Chenrui's eyes darkened, but he didn't show anything on his face. "Okay. However, Junior Sister Lian Han is too slow to get into combat mode. If you're willing, I can spend an hour every day sparring with her."

Lian Han raised an eyebrow. "That would be troublesome. Shall we add each other as friends?"

"Um."

Seeing the two quickly add each other as friends, An He was bewildered. Was Jiang Chenrui really this kind of helpful person? His brother didn't seem to have said that before.
