Unwilling to quit, Ming Yu rolls up his sleeves and redesigns the ship from scratch, turning his team into the darkest horse of the preliminaries. Along the way he discovers that the cold, aloof pilot is actually a hidden big-shot—and under life-or-death pressure his own dormant mental power keeps evolving terrifying new offensive traits…

When news leaks that Ming Yu is competing, the public scoffs, waiting to see him humiliate the Ming name. Weeks later the jeers turn to gasps: “Wait, the genius starship designer who just crushed the Ming flagship—he’s THAT Ming Yu?” “The monstrous observer with the devouring mental power—also Ming Yu?” “And the silent, lethal pilot…?” Ming Yu laughs: “Not me this time—that’s my boyfriend!”

Together they sail their starship into the cosmic tide, driving back the dark surge that once swallowed entire systems. Lost star-seas reappear, chaotic nebulae become orderly havens, and a king long thought dead returns to reclaim his throne. On the day of coronation, Ming Yu—already a living legend of the Galaxy Race—stands at the sovereign’s side. In front of trillions, the tall, handsome ruler takes the royal signet from the ceremonial tray yet turns away from the throne. He kneels before Ming Yu, slips the ring onto his finger, and vows in a voice no longer cold: "My love for you will never change."
