0009 Departure
In the morning, the brothers gathered at the restaurant for breakfast. They had all gotten used to Su Cheng's departure.
Only Song Yue occasionally cast a glance at Su Cheng with a hint of reluctance.
Su Cheng had naturally realized this long ago, and felt a warm glow in his heart.
"Yueyue, just stay home and study with your brother. If you need anything, just send a WeChat message or call your uncle, okay?"
Song Yue had only been there a few days, and they hadn't spent much time together. Su Cheng was reluctant to leave her, but things abroad couldn't stop, so he had to entrust the child to his sons at home.
Song Yue's eyes were slightly red, her head was lowered, and she took small sips of the breakfast in her bowl.
Su Cheng then turned his gaze to Su Mingxi, who was sitting next to her. "Mingxi, she lives next to you, so you should keep an eye on her. Also, about that friend you mentioned, if Yueyue doesn't like her... we'll have to find her a good teacher."
Su Mingxi glanced at Song Yue, who had her head down. Even though he couldn't see her face, he could tell how she felt. He nodded in agreement and said, "Dad, don't worry. My brothers and I will take good care of our sister."
As he said this, Su Cheng glanced at his sons, and they all nodded in agreement.
After the meal, the brothers all went to work. Only Su Mingxi was free in the morning. Song Yue wanted to see Su Cheng off, so in the end Su Mingxi had no choice but to take Song Yue with him to the airport.
At the airport, after watching Su Cheng pass through security and disappear into the gate, Song Yue looked away in disappointment.
She suddenly looked like a withered flower. Although her face was still expressionless, Su Mingxi could tell that she was somewhat dejected.
Helpless, he felt sorry for her and could only comfort her himself, trying his best to make her laugh the whole way. It was really hard on him.
If his usual colleagues saw this, they would definitely be shocked.
Everyone knows that although Professor Su is refined and gentle, there is always a sense of cold distance when you are with him.
After his tireless efforts, Song Yue finally felt much better when she got home.
After parking the car in the garage, Su Mingxi, holding the hand of the little girl who had obediently followed her home, saw the friend she had found at the door.
Shu Siya's eyes lit up as she watched Su Mingxi walk over, and she greeted her with a smile: "I was just about to call you when I saw you."
Su Mingxi said, "I just took my dad to the airport."
He held Song Yue's small hand tightly; it was soft, but a little rough.
Song Yue had already hidden behind Su Mingxi as soon as she saw outsiders.
Shu Siya's gaze slowly moved from his face to the little girl behind him. She had only glanced at her earlier and she seemed to be a twelve or thirteen-year-old girl. She breathed a sigh of relief.
"Let's go inside and talk."
Su Mingxi knew that Song Yue was afraid of meeting strangers, but this was something she had to go through, so she held the girl's hand to prevent her from running away.
When they arrived at the top-floor living room, he settled the girl on the sofa before pouring a glass of water for Shu Siya and a glass of warm milk for Song Yue.
It was Shu Siya who spoke first; she was very curious about the girl who had suddenly appeared at his house.
Moreover, judging from the way Su Mingxi took care of her, this girl was very important to him.
"Is she the girl you asked me to teach yesterday?"
Su Mingxi patted Song Yue's head, watching her sip her food, before smiling and saying to Shu Siya, "Yes, this is my little sister who just came to my house. Something happened before, so she's falling behind in her studies and I'd like you to help her."
Shu Siya glanced at the well-behaved girl sitting to the side and felt a little strange, but she didn't ask any questions at the moment.
"That's possible, but I still need to spend some time with her first, and see how she is..."
The rest was left unsaid, but both of them clearly understood.
Su Mingxi took the cup she had finished drinking from and gently wiped the milk stains from the corner of her mouth. "It's okay, I'll talk to her. I'm free this morning, so we can start. With me here, things will be easier for you two."
Shu Siya thought that what he said was better, meaning that with him around, the child would be more likely to accept others.
But Su Mingxi meant that with him there, watching the two of them interact would make him feel more at ease.
The girl was sensitive and delicate; he would scare her.
"Alright then, where will the teaching take place?"
Su Mingxi took the girl's hand. "Let's go to her room."
Shu Siya's gaze fell on the two people holding hands before she followed them.
The girl's room is warm and lovely, especially with a swing in the middle, filling the whole room with childlike fun and love.
Shu Siya hesitated for a moment at the door before stepping inside.
Although it's unclear why this girl suddenly came to this house, she seems to be very pampered.
Inside the room, Su Mingxi was comforting Song Yue.
"This older sister will teach you from now on, okay? I'll stay with you this morning."
Song Yue actually knew all of this, but she didn't quite like this older sister.
I can't explain why, but I always feel like I'm being scrutinized.
But she didn't want to cause trouble for her older brother, so she pursed her lips and nodded.
Su Mingxi felt a mix of happiness and inexplicable disappointment.
