0014 and her younger sister at school
The door opened the next moment. "Mingxi, you've been busy all morning. Take a break. Let's go to the cafeteria for lunch..."
A man walked straight in and immediately fell silent when he saw Song Yue.
The man looked at Su Mingxi sitting behind the computer desk in disbelief, and then looked at Song Yue, who was nestled obediently on the sofa, engrossed in reading a book.
His facial expressions kept changing.
"Mingxi, when did you have such a big daughter?! Oh my god! Did I time travel?" Shi Xiangyang couldn't help but pinch himself.
Su Mingxi glanced at the time, completely ignoring his antics, and simply helped Song Yue put on her shoes. Then she said gently to her, "This is my brother's colleague, surnamed Shi. It's getting late, let's go eat."
Song Yue was fairly comfortable interacting with strangers, but she still habitually approached Su Mingxi. Looking at Shi Xiangyang, she lowered her eyes, her lips slightly curved, and softly called out, "Hello, Teacher Shi."
Shi Xiangyang looked at the little girl clinging to Su Mingxi; she was absolutely adorable.
"Hello little sister..." Shi Xiangyang wanted to reach out and touch her.
His wife was newly pregnant, and he was hoping to have a daughter. When he suddenly saw such a cute and well-behaved girl, he couldn't help but want to get closer to her.
But as soon as he reached out his hand, Su Mingxi slapped it away.
"Don't touch me, she's my sister," Su Mingxi warned, frowning.
Shi Xiangyang clicked his tongue softly, "I'm not doing anything..."
Su Mingxi kept a close eye on her and pulled Song Yue to the other side of her body, away from this strange uncle.
His body firmly blocked Shi Xiangyang's view, preventing him from seeing.
"There's no need for that, is there? She's just that little sister you mentioned before. I was just looking at her, she's not a bad person," Shi Xiangyang said helplessly.
Su Mingxi still had her arm around Song Yue, "Who knows if you're a bad person... This is my only sister, of course I have to keep an eye on her, lest she be tricked away by some weird uncle."
Shi Xiangyang pouted. So what if she made a few laughs at him when he bought the sofa, and praised him a bit when she saw the photos on his phone, saying that she also wanted such a cute and beautiful daughter? Was it really necessary?
Su Mingxi didn't care what he thought and took Song Yue directly to a small private room in the cafeteria.
The school cafeteria has a main hall and private rooms, since teachers often eat there. However, it's always a little awkward if they bump into students.
Su Mingxi quickly bought several things that Song Yue liked to eat, and also bought a glass of milk.
Upon entering the private room, they saw Shi Xiangyang already inside, smiling obsequiously at his younger sister.
His expression darkened instantly. He walked over and pulled Song Yue over, telling her to sit further away from Shi Xiangyang.
Shi Xiangyang was too tired to complain anymore; he had seen all the changes in Su Mingxi over the past few days.
From inexplicably buying a sofa a few days ago, to discovering during a meeting that he was looking at his own sister's photos, to now acting as if he's completely hiding her from everyone, he really wants to wonder if Su Mingxi has forgotten to take his medication...
Perhaps she has some serious illness...
Then Su Mingxi continued to shatter his worldview.
"Yueyue, eat more..." Su Mingxi coaxed Song Yue to eat a few more bites while peeling shrimp and picking out fish bones for her.
Song Yue had long since gotten used to it. At home, Su Mingxi would do the same thing from time to time, and the other brothers didn't say anything, so she felt at ease.
"It's not as good as what Big Brother makes." Song Yue said after taking a bite of the shrimp that Su Mingxi fed her and eating a few more bites.
This sentence clearly put Su Mingxi in a good mood.
He smiled indulgently and said, "Then I'll make this for you tonight..."
Song Yue nodded with a smile and replied, "Okay."
The two of them were happily feeding each other and eating with gusto, completely ignoring the other person in the private room.
Shi Xiangyang, who was eating at the side, frowned. Looking at the scene in front of him, he felt that something was not right and he could not eat.
After Song Yue had finished eating, there weren't many students eating outside anymore, so Su Mingxi took her away.
Shi Xiangyang sighed silently: "Is this taking care of my sister or my ancestors...?" Suddenly, he wasn't so interested in having a daughter anymore.
Is this how everyone takes care of children? Shi Xiangyang felt something was off, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it.
There weren't many people on the road. Song Yue strolled slowly, her gaze lingering on the passing students for a few seconds at a time. Su Mingxi followed beside her, keeping pace with her.
"It's okay, once Yueyue has finished her studies, we can go to class in the second half of the year."
"Really?"
At first, Song Yue was scared, but now, looking at the other people, she felt a faint longing and anticipation to go to school, to have classmates and friends.
"Of course, so Yueyue, don't envy others. Whatever they have, your big brother will give you."
Su Mingxi felt sorry for her; he couldn't bear to see the envy in her eyes. She deserved all the good things in the world.
Song Yue's eyes were clear, but her heart ached. Her eyes welled up with tears, and the corners of her eyes reddened. Overjoyed, she threw herself at Su Mingxi, saying, "Big brother, you're so good to me."
"Good girl..." Su Mingxi's body stiffened slightly, his hands instinctively wrapping around her slender waist, his nose greedily inhaling her fragrance, a light floral scent with a hint of milk.
Song Yue hugged his strong waist affectionately and rubbed against him before letting go, completely unaware of the raging fire she had stirred up.
The man behind him seemed to be gritting his teeth.
We'll settle accounts with her when she grows up.
