0016 Going to class

0016 Going to class

At 2:00 PM sharp, Su Mingxi got up to go to class.

Song Yue stood to the side, her eyes still blurry with sleep, rubbing them and yawning slightly. She watched as Su Mingxi packed her things.

"Okay, if you're sleepy, how about you go to the classroom and lie down for a nap later?"

Su Mingxi couldn't bear to leave Song Yue alone here, so it was better to keep her with him and under his watchful eye.

Song Yue nodded slightly, but it was unclear whether she had listened or not. She was still clearly sleepy and not fully awake.

Looking at the soft and cuddly little girl, Su Mingxi's heart melted, and she just wanted to hold her in her hands and pamper her.

After packing her things, I took her hand and we headed to the classroom.

Just as Su Mingxi and her men stepped out of the office, they ran into Shi Xiangyang walking in from outside.

"Oh, you're going to class with your daughter?" Shi Xiangyang said jokingly. "Well then, you go to class and I'll take care of the child for you."

Su Mingxi pulled Song Yue and strode past him, her eyes filled with disdain.

Seeing that Shi Xiangyang was about to make a scene again, Su Mingxi simply put her arm around Song Yue's slender waist and quickly walked away.

Once outside, she put the little one down from her arms. "If you run into that person again, stay away from him."

Song Yue tilted her head and said, "Hmm... okay, but I think that uncle is a good person."

Su Mingxi paused, then continued to coax, "That uncle is a good person... but he has a rather outgoing personality and is quite mischievous."

Upon hearing this, Song Yue frowned and said, "I'll stay away from him from now on."

Although she talks more now, she is still a bit caught off guard and can't handle this kind of boisterous personality.

Su Mingxi smiled and nodded.

*

Su Mingxi's class was held in a large classroom, and many people came, but it was unclear whether they were there for him or for his class.

Before class started, the classroom was already mostly full, but luckily there were still a few empty seats in the first row.

Under everyone's watchful eyes, Su Mingxi led the person into the classroom, took her to a corner seat in the first row, and put her schoolbag down.

He could see it at a glance.

The classroom fell silent instantly, and everyone's eyes turned to this side.

Song Yue was particularly sensitive to other people's gazes. She was slightly tense, her rosy face was taut, her thin lips were pursed, and her face was a little pale.

Su Mingxi raised her eyes and glanced around. Her gentle eyes held a sharp glint, lacking her usual indifference and instead carrying a hint of warning.

The surrounding students immediately snapped out of their daze, some flipping through their books, others packing up their belongings, and a few even changed seats, moving further away from the first row.

With those intense gazes gone, Song Yue raised her head slightly to look at Su Mingxi.

Her big eyes were brimming with water, clear and transparent, allowing you to see right through them.

Fear, a slight wariness, and a deep dependence.

Su Mingxi bent down, looking directly at her head as she tried to bury it in her chest. "Don't be afraid, your brother is right here. Just keep reading your book. Didn't you want to continue reading before your nap at noon? If you don't want to read anymore, just lie down and take a nap..."

A warm, large hand stroked her head, and she instinctively nuzzled against it. Remembering the book she had read before, she turned her attention back to it.

"Okay, I'll read my book and wait for my brother to finish class."

Her obedient appearance was so endearing that Su Mingxi couldn't help but gently pat her head a few more times and pinch her little face.

After this period of gentle care, her originally thin face has finally gained some softness.

"good……"

Gazes drifted over from the surroundings, but Song Yue didn't pay them any attention this time.

Because he was in her sight, all her fear seemed to slowly fade away.

Just as the class bell rang, Su Mingxi smiled gently at Song Yue, pointed at the book in her hand, and then turned and walked towards the podium.

Su Mingxi began her lesson in a clear and gentle voice, glancing occasionally at the girl sitting in the corner of the first row.

The students in the classroom were on tenterhooks during the lesson, their hearts pounding with unanswered questions.

Although Professor Su's class was particularly lively, interesting, and captivating, even when he noticed students were daydreaming during a question, he would simply smile gently and brush it off lightly.

But more than anything else, they wanted to know who the little girl Professor Su led into the classroom before class was.

Is he a relative of Professor Su?

younger sister?

Is that gentle smile she gives during class real?

Professor Su usually appears gentle and refined, but there's always a sense of distance, as if she's someone you can only admire from afar and not approach.

Everyone's mind was on the Atlantic Ocean, so they had no energy left to focus on this lesson.

After class, Su Mingxi came over and helped the girl pack her things, then took her hand and prepared to go back to the office.

"Wow, isn't that Professor Su's sister? She's so cute! She looks like a porcelain doll!"

"But I've never heard of Professor Su having a sister, I only know he has several brothers!"

"Can someone go and find out? I really hope I can see her again next time! She's so cute, I want to touch her."

"You still want to touch it? Didn't you see how Professor Su's eyes were practically piercing you just now?"

"..."

There was a lot of discussion in the classroom.

The two people walking on the tree-lined path were discussing dinner.

"What do you want to eat tonight? We can go to the supermarket to buy groceries later!" The other brothers in the family are quite busy and have irregular schedules, so Su Mingxi, as the eldest brother, is used to taking care of everyone and usually cooks dinner.

In the past, he was the one who did the cooking, and his brothers ate whatever they wanted.

Now that her younger sister is here, Su Mingxi makes dinner with her sister's taste in mind, hoping that she will eat more.

P.S.: As mentioned before, this story is a slow burn.
