0066 Confession

0066 Confession

After the meal, Su He'an went to wash fruit for Song Yue.

Jiang Xinglan and Yang Mingxuan discussed going grass skiing again.

Yin Xingjin sat to the side, watching Song Yue holding her phone, smiling happily as she looked at something.

He glanced at Su He'an in the distance and said to Song Yue, "I have something I want to tell you."

Song Yue was looking at the messages in the group chat, where several brothers were talking to her to make her happy and to tell her to have fun, when she heard Yin Xingjin's voice.

She looked up at him, her expression serious and earnest.

"What's wrong? What's the matter? You look so serious." Song Yue glanced around again, but everyone was gone, leaving only her and Yin Xingjin. "Where are they?"

“Su He’an is washing things over there, and the other two probably went to play.” Yin Xingjin was worried that when Su He’an came back, he would be glared at by Song Yue again, making it impossible for him to speak. “Let’s go over there and talk.”

"Is it something important? Do you have to say it now?" Having just finished eating, Song Yue felt a little lazy and didn't want to move.

"Hmm." Yin Xingjin's heart was beating faster and faster. He stood up and walked towards a short distance away, his steps quickening.

Song Yue followed behind him, confirming that this matter was probably quite urgent.

The two walked around to the shade of a tree next to the rest area. Yin Xingjin stopped, turned around, and stared intently at the bewildered Song Yue who had followed them.

“…?” Song Yue tilted her head curiously, waiting for him to speak.

Little did he know that this would hit his sweet spot, and his heart would melt.

He had always taken special care of Song Yue since they were in the orphanage. Others always thought she was mentally challenged and stupid, so they bullied her and isolated her.

But Yin Xingjin never thought that way; she was simple, innocent, and kind.

In that orphanage where everyone lived in fear, especially children as young as them who had no ability to defend themselves, she, a little girl, was actually in a good situation.

"Yueyue...actually...I've wanted to tell you this for a long time." Yin Xingjin clenched his fingers, looking at her with a determined gaze, and swallowed hard: "I...like you."

Song Yue blinked twice, then smiled and said with a slight upturn of her lips, "Brother Jin, I like you too."

"Really? Then...we..." Yin Xingjin was overjoyed, the sudden surge of happiness overwhelming him, leaving him momentarily at a loss for words. "You've accepted me?"

Song Yue frowned slightly, puzzled, and said, "Accept? What? Brother Jin helped me a lot at the orphanage before, and I like Brother Jin very much. I'm so happy to be able to meet Brother Jin again here!"

.

A deafening roar filled Yin Xingjin's ears, and he felt an emptiness in his heart, as if it had been blown by the wind. The more joyful it had been beating just moments before, the more gloomy it felt now.

A moment in heaven, a breath in hell.

"Yueyue..." His voice was choked, as if something was stuck in his throat, unable to be swallowed or coughed up.

Song Yue looked at him with concern. Her bright face suddenly turned pale, like a brilliant firework that withered in an instant.

"Brother Jin? What's wrong?"

"Yueyue... the 'like' I'm talking about isn't the kind of 'friendship' we're talking about," Yin Xingjin continued with difficulty, but this time he dared not hold any expectations, his heart aching.

He could clearly see the light in her eyes—bright and clear, filled with worry and confusion, but not the light he wanted to see.

She didn't have those feelings for him.

"Joy……"

"Yueyue! What are you doing here?!" Suddenly, Su He'an's figure darted out from the side. He ignored Yin Xingjin and pulled Song Yue away. Before leaving, he glanced coldly at Yin Xingjin, who was standing there looking dejected.

Song Yue was completely confused, not understanding at all what important thing Yin Xingjin wanted to tell her.

"What did he take you over there for?" When they returned to their resting place, Su He'an took some prepared fruit from the side and handed it to Song Yue, but his expression was indignant.

"It's nothing. Jin... Yin Xingjin told me he likes me, and said something about whether I accept it or not, but I didn't quite understand what he was saying." Song Yue looked blank as she recalled what had just happened.

However, Su He'an's expression immediately turned cold upon hearing these words.

He actually wanted to trick Song Yue into having a puppy love?!?

"Then what did you say?" Su He'an hurriedly asked.

Song Yue opened her small mouth slightly, took a bite of the fruit, and the juice overflowed, moistening her lips.

She subconsciously stuck out the tip of her tongue and lightly licked her lips, a fleeting pink glint.

Su Hean inexplicably felt thirsty, so he also started eating fruit.

“I told him I liked him too…” Song Yue shrugged, holding a piece of fruit. “Then I said I was very grateful to him for helping me at the orphanage, and he suddenly turned pale, as if he wasn’t feeling well.”

When Su He'an heard her say that she liked him too, he felt a pang in his heart and was so agitated that he wanted to fight her.

But after saying those words, Su and An felt a strange sense of melancholy.

"Su He'an, do you know what's wrong with him? It's so strange." Song Yue didn't understand at all why he seemed to suddenly become unhappy when she said she was grateful to him and liked him.

Su He'an didn't know whether to be glad that Song Yue didn't understand or to sigh at her naivety. He silently sighed for Yin Xingjin, and strangely enough, he also felt a bit of sympathy for her.

"Yueyue...do you have someone you like?" Su He'an asked casually, but his body couldn't help but tense up.

Song Yue looked up at him and smiled, opening her mouth slightly: "Yes, I like my family, and also Yin Xingjin, Jiang Xinglan, Yang Mingxuan, Wan Lanlan..." She counted the names on her fingers as she spoke.

After she finished speaking, Song Yue sat down in the chair and spotted Yin Xingjin walking towards her from not far away: "I like people who are good to me."

Su He'an: "Mm."

He managed to maintain a composed expression, while his mind was in turmoil.

He was relieved that she was still young and didn't understand things.

"Does my brother hate me?" Song Yue thought about what had happened before noon, and her face couldn't help but turn slightly red. She seemed to have been playing around the whole time and hadn't helped at all.

Suddenly remembering something, she immediately sat up, wanting to help tidy up.

Su He'an quickly stopped her: "You should rest, I can take care of these things." He pushed her, "Even if you do nothing, our family can support you, and I will still love you."

As Yin Xingjin approached, he heard these words and looked up to meet Su He'an's gaze.

The young boys immediately understood their respective purposes.
