0070 Birthday Preparations
Su Mingxi put down her phone, her expression calm and composed, like a still pond, seemingly undisturbed.
Shi Xiangyang raised an eyebrow, glanced at his expression, and curiously leaned closer: "What's wrong? Wasn't it your cute little sister on the phone? Why the expression?"
Don't think he didn't see that Su Mingxi's phone screen showed a photo of the two of them together. The lock screen looked proper, but inside it was all flashy and colorful.
“She said that He’an’s 18th birthday is coming up and she’s planning to throw a party at home,” Su Mingxi said casually, glancing at him.
Shi Xiangyang: "He'an's gotten this age too, time really flies! We're both almost thirty!" He said with a smile, "Isn't that normal? Why do you look like someone owes you money?"
Su Mingxi glanced at her coldly, then walked away silently and quickly.
Shi Xiangyang was taken aback. Why was this person suddenly angry?
"What's wrong?!" He touched his head helplessly. Su Mingxi had been really unpredictable lately. He used to be calm and indifferent. For a long time, he thought Su Mingxi was a person who would not have emotional fluctuations.
It may seem calm and indifferent, but people's hearts are actually quite complex.
Suddenly, he frowned as he thought of a possibility, but he absolutely couldn't say it aloud, otherwise Su Mingxi might kill him to silence him.
Is he jealous of his younger brother...?
*
Song Yue had already discussed it with several people and was looking forward to giving Su He'an a big surprise on his birthday. She couldn't wait.
But Su and An have become increasingly irritable these past few days.
At home, Song Yue's brothers treated her exceptionally well, and she would sometimes secretly whisper to them.
At school, Song Yue started chatting and laughing with Yin Xingjin again. Fortunately, after he saw her confessing her feelings, Yin Xingjin did not do anything else that crossed the line.
But whenever I appear, she falls silent.
Su He'an felt vaguely like an outsider, rejected, and a strange sense of loss mixed with a hint of barely perceptible grievance.
Why is that?
He thought about it for a long time, but he still couldn't figure out what he had done to make Song Yue angry.
But he didn't dare to ask Song Yue directly, and could only hint at it from time to time in front of Jiang Xinglan and Yang Mingxuan.
Jiang Xinglan and Yang Mingxuan helped Song Yue cover it up, so they naturally gave a perfunctory answer.
Days passed by.
Song Yue became visibly excited, which made several of her brothers who were initially indifferent start to feel jealous.
Their attitude toward Su and An has become noticeably worse.
On my birthday.
Jiang Xinglan called early in the morning: "Aren't you in a bad mood? Come out and have some fun!"
Su and An weren't in the mood, but staying at home wasn't a good idea either, so they quickly tidied up and went out.
As soon as Song Yue received the news that Su He'an had left the room, she immediately rushed out the door and ran downstairs.
Wan Lanlan and Yin Xingjin had already arrived outside the door.
"Yueyue, your house is so big!" Wan Lanlan was genuinely shocked.
She had always known that Su He'an's family was well-off, but she never expected them to be this wealthy. To own such an apartment in the heart of the city, where land is incredibly expensive, was simply a sign of immense wealth.
The family that adopted Yin Xingjin was also well-off, but not to the same extent as the Su family.
The two followed Song Yue to the top floor. As soon as they entered the living room, Wan Lanlan couldn't help but exclaim in surprise for the second time.
After Wan Lanlan finally expressed her enjoyment, the three of them began to set up the scene, having already purchased all the necessary items a few days prior.
Song Yue was overjoyed as this was the first time she had done something like this, especially when she saw how the living room had been decorated; her eyes sparkled.
"Wow, this is really nice! But this doesn't seem to be very suitable for boys." Wan Lanlan looked at the pink decorations around her and silently sighed for Su He'an, wondering whether he was happy or disgusted by the scene.
Yin Xingjin looked at Song Yue standing in front of a large bunch of balloons, feeling a pang of sadness mixed with a sense of eager anticipation.
He wanted her to be happy every day, to bury that dark past forever.
Around four or five in the afternoon, my brothers gradually returned home.
Su Mingxi was the first to return. The first thing he saw was the living room, and for a moment he was a little confused about whose birthday it was.
"Big brother! How is it? Does it look good?" Song Yue smiled with her eyebrows curving, her eyes bright, like a kitten begging to be petted.
Su Mingxi smiled indulgently and reached out to ruffle her hair: "Very good, thank you for your hard work."
"Right? I think it's pretty good too! By the way, brother, let me introduce you. This is Wan Lanlan, and this is Yin Xingjin."
Wan Lanlan stood a little reserved, her face timid, not far away.
Yin Xingjin took a few steps closer and nodded to Su Mingxu.
Su Mingxi's gaze swept lightly over him before landing on Wan Lanlan, and she said warmly, "Don't be shy, you are Yueyue's good friends, so relax and make yourselves at home."
As she spoke, Su Mingxi smiled at the two of them, "Don't be shy..."
"Yueyue, come help me in the kitchen." He gently pulled Song Yue towards the kitchen.
"You must be tired after a long afternoon, take a rest." Su Mingxi said as she reached out and pressed her hand down on the high stool next to her.
Song Yue held his hand and excitedly recounted what had happened that afternoon.
Even the smallest things can excite and delight her, making her lively, vibrant, and full of energy.
Looking at her chubby little face, Su Mingxi couldn't help but pinch it: "As long as you're happy."
"Big brother, don't pinch!" Her skin is delicate and can easily leave marks.
The smooth skin under his hands always brought back those two moments to his tactile memories.

In the living room, Su Feiyang and Su Feihang also returned.
Wan Lanlan was obsessed with men. She appeared reserved on the surface, but her mind was racing with a million thoughts.
Why are all of Yueyue's brothers so good-looking?
No wonder Su and An grew up looking like that!
So that's where the family genes come from!
"Huh? Where's Yueyue?"
After exchanging greetings and introductions, Su Feiyang looked around but didn't see Song Yue.
"Yueyue went to the kitchen with her older brother."
Wan Lanlan was so nervous that she blurted out the answer as soon as someone asked her, but she didn't notice the strange looks on her two brothers' faces after she said it.
Yin Xingjin glanced at the two of them.
Su Feihang: "I'll go take a look. I wonder what kind of cake my brother bought tonight."
He patted Su Feiyang on the shoulder, stood up, and walked towards the kitchen.
Just then, two more people walked up behind them.
Su Chengbi and Su Huarong happened to meet downstairs and went upstairs together.
"You're back so early!"
Su Huarong was surprised to see the twins, since their work hours were irregular and it was rare to see them at home so early.
Su Feiyang nodded: "If you have nothing to do today, come back early."
Su Chengbi glanced around, his gaze lingering on Wan Lanlan and Yin Xingjin: "Where's Yueyue?"
Su Feiyang paused: "She went to the kitchen to get the cake, didn't she?"
"I'll go take a look." Su Huarong turned and headed towards the kitchen.
Su Feihang immediately stepped forward: "I'll go. I'm thirsty too. You can sit here and rest."
Su Huarong paused, glanced at Su Feiyang and Su Feihang, and her eyes flickered slightly: "Is Big Brother back?"
Su Feiyang: "They should be back by now."
"Okay, I'd like something to drink too. Could you get me some?" Su Huarong leaned back slightly on the sofa and gently stroked her forehead.
"Okay." Su Feihang walked towards the kitchen.
Su Chengbi turned his head and looked slowly toward the kitchen. After a few moments, he silently walked to the sofa and sat down.
"Hehe... I haven't introduced them yet. These two are my sister's friends." Su Feiyang quickly changed the subject.
Su Chengbi glanced at him, then nodded to the two of them, trying to suppress his imposing manner.
Su Huarong smiled and told the two of them not to be shy.
Wan Lanlan no longer knew how to express her feelings. Yueyue, why haven't you come back yet!
She really can't bear being here alone anymore!
Yin Xingjin felt a dark cloud hanging over him. He hadn't expected the family that had adopted Song Yue to be so large, and each of the brothers seemed to be extraordinary.
Song Yue was discussing tonight's cake with Su Mingxi; it had been ordered a few days ago.
When Su Feihang arrived, he saw two people making juice in the kitchen. The atmosphere was warm and cozy. The older brother had a genuinely gentle smile in his eyes as he watched Song Yue pick out fruit. There was nothing particularly ambiguous about the scene.
But for some reason, it made him feel a little uncomfortable.
