0128 I don't need
As soon as Su He'an went downstairs, he contacted Jiang Xinglan.
"What is it?" The voice was cold and deep, clearly indicating a tense atmosphere.
Jiang Xinglan paused for a moment after answering the call, then said, "I don't know the specifics, that's all she said. It seems like something really has happened."
"Okay, I'll be right there." After saying that, Su He'an hung up the phone, pulled up the number he had previously blocked, and dialed it.
The call was connected instantly.
He said coldly, with a hint of impatience, "Come out, go to the school gate." Then he hung up.
Mi Chuxue looked at the phone that had been hung up and glanced back at the people sitting behind her.
Jiang Xinglan saw Mi Chuxue and pointed outside.
This class happened to be a self-study period. She greeted Yu Binglan and then sneaked out through the back door.
Wan Lanlan turned around and asked Jiang Xinglan, "Was it Su He'an who called them out?"
"I think so. I just called An to ask me."
"I wonder if Yueyue has arrived yet?"
Jiang Xinglan swung her legs and craned her neck to look outside, but she couldn't see anyone at all.
"They probably didn't come."
"Hurry up and read the book!" Yang Mingxuan pulled Jiang Xinglan, whose head was almost tilted to one side, back and placed the highlighted knowledge points in front of him.
Jiang Xinglan sighed and collapsed to the ground, utterly exhausted.
*
At the school gate.
Su He'an leaned lazily against a tree, hands in his pockets, his gaze lingering on the passersby, wondering what movie Yueyue was probably watching at this hour.
Over there, the sound of hurried footsteps approaching gradually rose.
He glanced at her coldly as she jogged over.
"What is it?"
Mi Chuxue was slightly out of breath. It was the first time she had been face to face with Su He'an at such close range, and she was somewhat lost in thought when she saw her reflection in his eyes.
Su He'an looked at her without speaking, his irritation growing stronger. He couldn't help but speak in a low voice, "Speak quickly, what is it?!"
His cold voice instantly brought her back to her senses. Mi Chuxue clearly saw her image in his eyes, but there was no trace of her in them. His face showed serious disgust and loathing, and his tone was full of annoyance and impatience.
"What's the rush?" She glanced around a few times. "What? Didn't your sister come with you?"
Upon hearing Song Yue's name, Su He'an's expression instantly changed: "Speak quickly if you have something to say. If you're going to spout nonsense, you can get lost."
Mi Chuxue gritted her teeth, took out her phone, opened the photo album, and scrolled through the pictures in front of him one by one.
Su and An frowned as soon as they saw the photo.
Then, she clicked on an audio file, and a clear, familiar voice rang out.
Su He'an's expression instantly turned serious, his eyes fierce, and he grabbed her by the neck, pinning her against the tree trunk: "When did you record this!?"
Mi Chuxue was so frightened that she dropped her phone. She tried desperately to pry off the hand that was choking her neck, but she couldn't break free. Her rosy complexion gradually faded, turning pale.
"You..." Her voice was broken and suppressed. For the first time, she clearly understood Su He'an's cruelty, that he would do such a thing so blatantly at the school gate.
These past few days, being by Song Yue's side, I've been deceived by his facade of gentleness, kindness, and consideration towards her.
Su He'an was once considered someone not to be trifled with.
Su He'an's hands were bulging with veins, his eyes narrowed, his gaze cold and indifferent, and he tightened his grip inch by inch.
Suddenly, the security guard at the school gate seemed to notice something was wrong and shouted, "What are you doing over there?"
Su He'an stopped exerting force, shoved Mi Chuxue aside, and turned to shout to the gatekeeper, "She choked on something... she's fine now."
"Oh, be careful!" the doorman called out before entering the room.
Mi Chuxue fell to the ground in a disheveled state. The suffocating feeling of her throat still seemed to linger in her body. She coughed incessantly, pressed her hands hard against the ground, and breathed heavily.
Su He'an picked up the phone, deleted all the photos, but backed up the audio and sent it to his own phone. Then he deleted all the files, threw the phone on the ground, and stomped on it until it was smashed.
Mi Chuxue's eyes were bloodshot, and tears streamed down her pale face, dripping onto the soil. She leaned against the tree trunk, her face pale, and looked up to see his movements. She wanted to grab the phone back but was too weak to move.
Su He'an approached her, looked at her tear-streaked face, and said expressionlessly, "Do you still have a chance to tell me where this thing came from?"
Mi Chuxue bit her lip, her eyes blurry with tears, her hair sticky with sweat, and she shouted in a disheveled, hoarse voice, "Su He'an, do you really like this woman that much? She's shameless, getting involved with a university professor, and pretending to be innocent to deceive you. I'm helping you, you know that?"
“I don’t need her,” he said softly. “I just need her to be by my side.”
After saying that, he turned around and said in a cold voice, "No matter when you recorded it, if I find out what you're going to do to her, I'll make you regret it for the rest of your life."
Mi Chuxue watched him walk further and further away, stepping on her blood with each step, plunging her into a wretched and miserable abyss.
From childhood to adulthood, she was always outstanding, loved by her parents and supported by her friends. Only he never paid any attention to her from the very beginning.
Why?
Why?
Why would he rather have a woman who deceived him and was so despicable than accept her?
Mi Chuxue silently roared out her inner resentment, collapsing helplessly under the shade of the tree, looking up at the gaps between the leaves.
After a long while, she came to her senses, her throat becoming increasingly dry and painful.
Really...
How ridiculous!
In a hoarse voice, she said, "Su He'an, I'll make you regret this!"
