Chapter 8 The Class Beauty's Greeting

The little boy was clearly frightened by his parents; he hung his head, fidgeted, and didn't dare to speak.

The two parents became anxious.

"Speak up, you good-for-nothing! You're being bullied and you don't even dare to say a word. You're just as cowardly as your dad."

"Tell me, what are you afraid of? Mom will stand up for you. Hurry up and don't be afraid!"

Su Jianni couldn't listen anymore, glared at the two boys, and said sternly.

"Tell me, weren't you all very happy back then?"

As soon as he finished speaking...

The adults present were so shocked that their eyes widened like saucers.

Su Jianni continued, "Have you forgotten? You knelt down..."

Before he could finish speaking, Su Luo covered his mouth.

Su Luo was completely terrified by Su Jiani.

The two stunned parents looked at their son again in disbelief and said in trembling voices.

"Is what she said true?"

The two little boys gripped their sleeves tightly and nodded silently.

"Great, really great!"

These two parents also lost face.

Suppressing her rage, she grabbed her son and fled the infuriating scene at lightning speed without even saying goodbye.

Su Luo glanced at her homeroom teacher, who was currently questioning the meaning of life, and gave an awkward smile.

"Teacher, well, we're going back now."

The homeroom teacher rubbed his temples and said helplessly.

"Alright, go back and have a good talk with your daughter. She mustn't do this again next time."

Su Luo agreed, "Okay."

I took my daughter out of the school.

Passing by a hot pot restaurant, Su Jianni insisted on going to eat hot pot and parked the car nearby.

It was lunchtime, and there were many customers.

Su Luo took her daughter's hand and chose a seat by the window.

The two sat side by side on one side.

Su Jiani picked up the menu, swallowed hard, and said to the waiter.

"Sister, I want beef rolls, lamb rolls, shrimp paste, egg dumplings, prawns, fried dough sticks, konjac noodles, bamboo shoots, dried bamboo shoots, bok choy, and two glasses of chilled orange juice."

The waiter smiled and nodded, "Okay."

Su Luo tore open the packaging of the disposable chopsticks, separated the chopsticks, and handed them to Su Jiani.

Su Jianni took the chopsticks and placed them on the edge of the bowl, her beautiful almond-shaped eyes curving into crescents. "Thank you."

Su Luo paused, composed herself, turned to look at her daughter, and said earnestly.

"Jiani, why did you treat those two boys like that?"

He always thought that although it was his first time being a father, he had done his best. No matter how willful she was, he would patiently pamper her and never let Su Jianni suffer any grievances.

Most of the money he earned was spent on Su Jiani, supporting her to attend the best middle school in the city, and providing her with the best food and supplies within his means.

The more he thought about it today, the more uneasy he felt.

Su Jianni rolled her eyes. If she told Su Luo that she was actually quite happy at the time, he would definitely not accept it and would think she was a problem child.

After thinking for a moment, she squeezed out two tears, her eyes red and her lips pursed, and said, "Because they bullied me before."

"What? Then why didn't you tell me?"

Su Luo felt extremely guilty, realizing that she had indeed been working too much overtime lately and hadn't noticed Su Jiani's emotions in time.

Su Jiani sniffed her bright red nose, looking aggrieved.

"I don't want you to worry about me. I don't want to bother you with things I can handle myself. You work so hard every day..."

"Yes, I'm sorry, I failed to protect you."

Su Luo felt even more guilty and gently wiped away Su Jiani's tears with a tissue.

Su Jianni threw herself into Su Luo's arms, a sly glint in her eyes, and a smile involuntarily creeping onto her lips.

Su Jianni only let go of Su Luo after all the dishes were served.

Su Luo kept cooking meat for Su Jiani, as if trying to make up for his mistake.

Su Jianni thoroughly enjoyed Su Luo's doting on her and ate heartily without any guilt.

As soon as the guest next to him left, a face that Su Luo recognized appeared.

It was the woman he hated most, Zhong Ling, the most beautiful girl in his college class.

Su Luo looked away, pretending not to see, and continued to serve food to her daughter.

Unexpectedly, Zhong Ling placed the Chanel bag on the table, walked over confidently, brushed a stray hair from her forehead, and smiled.

"Long time no see, old classmate."

Su Luo paused, her hand gripping the chopsticks, and looked up, asking, "Are we that close?"

Zhong Ling completely ignored Su Luo's reaction, turned her gaze to Su Jiani, who was showing off her flesh, and asked with a smile.

"This is your daughter, right? Little girl, did you like the cake your sister gave you last time?"

Su Jianni swallowed the mutton in one gulp, then frowned and said fiercely, remembering her father's words.

"Who cares? I'll just throw it in the trash."

Zhong Ling looked at Su Luo in confusion.

"Suluo, do you really need to let a child know about our grudges? I never expected you to be so petty. I thought that so much time had passed and you should have let it go by now, but I didn't expect you to still care."

"You're saying you have absolutely no manly magnanimity or composure?"

She hadn't seen Su Luo since graduating from university, and she realized that she had been causing trouble for Su Luo all those years ago.

She used to dislike him, but three years have passed, and she feels that she has slowly let go of him.

She took the initiative to send the cake, intending to reconcile, but she didn't expect Su Luo to be so petty.

Su Luo's eyes gradually turned cold, and he sneered.

"Victims have no reason to forgive their abusers, so how can you have the nerve to ask such a ridiculous question?"

He wasn't magnanimous enough to be indifferent to those who had bullied him. If she weren't a woman, he would have slapped her across the face long ago.

"you……"

Zhong Ling's face flushed red, and she was about to retort when a deep male voice came from behind her.

"Lingling, what are you doing?"

"I just ran into an old classmate, so we caught up."

Zhong Ling always acted like a lady in front of her boyfriend, taking his arm and continuing with a smile.

"Jingxiu, let me introduce you. This is Su Luo, and this is his daughter."

Su Luo's face was extremely ugly; the man in front of her looked just like a domineering CEO from a novel.

He is 188 cm tall, with broad shoulders and a narrow waist. He has striking and handsome features, and is wearing a handmade suit and Italian leather shoes.

Every move she made was extremely elegant.

How could a wicked woman like Zhong Ling find such a good boyfriend?

Is there no justice left? Is there no law left?

Su Luo didn't want to talk to the man, but the man took the initiative to reach out his hand to her, his eyes gleaming.

"Hello, I am Zhong Ling's boyfriend, Huo Jingxiu."
