Why did Song Lingshan still give him the Nanjing lock? He really didn't want it anymore.
Su Luo suddenly noticed a blue origami crane inside the box.
I picked up the origami crane with a puzzled look. Sunlight shone through the crane, and I could vaguely see small black characters inside.
Su Luo unfolded the paper crane, revealing a line of beautifully handwritten black characters on it.
“If you don’t want this Nanjing lock, you can sell it, but don’t give it back to me.”
Su Luo understood instantly.
Song Lingshan made him sell it because she didn't want to see him living such a hard life for money.
Su Luo shook her head helplessly. She knew Song Lingshan's temper. Since she had given it back to her, even if he sent it back, she would find a way to get it back to her.
Then let's leave it with him for now.
Put the Nanjing lock into the drawer.
Go into the bathroom and fill the bathtub with water.
I took off my clothes and lay down inside.
Soaking my whole body in hot water, my agitated mind gradually calmed down.
Su Luo tilted her head back and rested it on the edge of the bathtub, slowly closing her eyes.
I soaked for who knows how long, just as I was about to fall asleep.
Buzz buzz buzz!
The phone on the sink rang, interrupting Su Luo's thoughts.
Su Luo stood up, stepped out of the bathtub, and walked barefoot to the sink. She glanced at the screen, and her eyes lit up.
It was Nami-nee calling.
Su Luo immediately pressed the answer button and put the phone to her ear.
"Lolo?"
Nami Ozawa's voice was as captivating as I remembered, but it had a slight nasal quality, as if she had a cold.
Su Luo responded softly.
"It's me, Nami-nee. Is there something you need?"
Nami Ozawa, lying on her back at the head of the bed, said in a hoarse voice.
"Can't I call you if there's nothing wrong?"
Su Luo chuckled twice, "Yes, it's possible."
However, Ozawa Nami rarely contacts him first, and he won't bother her either, for fear of affecting her normal life.
Nami Ozawa raised her hand and gently touched the bruise on her cheek, warm tears sliding down her cheeks. She tried hard not to make any strange noises and restrained herself.
"Actually, it's nothing much, I just suddenly wanted to chat with you and hear your voice."
Although Ozawa Nami concealed it well, Su Luo still sensed something was wrong and asked worriedly.
"Nami-nee, do you have a cold?"
Nami Ozawa sniffed and smiled.
"No, I'm just a little worried that I might not be able to go hiking with you the day after tomorrow, because I might be busy that day."
The bruises on her face were quite severe, and it looked like they wouldn't heal in a day. If she tried to cover them with foundation, she was worried that sweating would cause her makeup to smudge and Su Luo would see her scars.
It's all that bastard Song Ruhai's fault. Why did he have to slap her face? He clearly knows that her face is what she cares about most.
Su Luo said urgently.
"No, it's okay, any day is fine, just let me know in advance."
Ozawa Nami had already transferred the 100,000 yen for the photoshoot to him, so she could take the photos whenever she wanted, as long as she told him in advance and he could ask for leave from the company.
"Um……"
Nami Ozawa suddenly didn't know what to say.
Su Luo could sense that Ozawa Nami's breathing was very unsteady, and asked cautiously.
"Nami-nee, are you in a bad mood?"
"..."
Nami Ozawa sniffed and denied it, saying, "It's nothing, I just feel a little tired."
Su Luo recalled the time she took photos of Ozawa Nami at the hot springs, noticing the mottled marks on her neck. Her heart tightened slightly, and she asked softly.
"Trying to run away?"
Ozawa Nami never expected Su Luo to say that, and smiled as she spoke.
"Yes, I want to escape."
