◇ Chapter 13
Before Si Wang could respond, Ellis rejected the idea, "It's not convenient!"
"Don't think I don't know what you're up to. You want to destroy Wang's hand!"
After these words were spoken, Chu Jiangyuan's face turned extremely ugly. It had been a long time since anyone had been so disrespectful to him.
The people around were so shocked by Chu Jiangyuan's cold aura that they dared not say anything.
After a moment, Si Wangque nodded: "Okay, I'll go talk to you."
"Wang!" Ellis was about to say something but was interrupted by Si Wang, "Ellis, if you continue to be so rude, I will tell the teacher and have him take you back!"
Ellis had no choice but to keep his mouth shut.
Si Wang followed Chu Jiangyuan to a lounge.
Si Wang sat down on his own, "Mr. Chu, please speak."
Chu Jiangyuan was stunned for a moment. He didn't know why, but the strange man in front of him always gave him a familiar feeling. But when he looked into it carefully, the familiar feeling disappeared without a trace.
"Mr. Chu? If you don't tell me, I won't accompany you anymore."
Si Wang's tone was a little cold, and Chu Jiangyuan finally came back to his senses, "Sorry, you look too much like an old friend of mine."
Si Wang's smile froze, but he immediately returned to normal, saying jokingly, "Mr. Chu has been losing his composure repeatedly. It seems that I do look a lot like Mr. Chu's old friend."
Chu Jiangyuan's expression darkened, but he said, "Actually, you two don't look alike, it's just that Mr. Si's aura is very similar to his."
In every frown and movement, you can always find Si Gu'an's shadow.
This was the first time in all these years that he had seen someone with an aura so similar to Si Gu'an, and it was hard for Chu Jiangyuan not to lose his composure.
Si Wang nodded and asked with understanding, "The old friend Mr. Si was talking about is probably the painter Si Gu'an, whose style is very similar to mine?"
"Is what Mr. Chu is going to say related to him?"
Chu Jiangyuan nodded, but said, "Mr. Si, are you interested in hearing a story?"
Si Wang raised his hand and gestured to him with a smile.
But his smile didn't even reach his eyes.
"Gu'an is the one I love the most..." Chu Jiangyuan said to himself, but did not notice the growing sarcasm in Si Wang's eyes.
…
After Chu Jiangyuan finished his story, his eyes were red, but Si Wang was not moved at all.
Finally, he asked, "Mr. Chu's story is very touching, but what I want to know more is what do you want me to do by telling me this?"
Chu Jiangyuan stared at him, his expression calm again. "Gu'an's wish before his death was to become an internationally renowned painter, and the International Golden Painting Award is the most prestigious certification."
"So, I hope Mr. Si can withdraw from this competition."
Si Wang's smile completely disappeared. He chuckled and said sarcastically, "Mr. Chu, are you insulting me or Si Gu'an by saying this?"
He stood up, his eyes filled with coldness. "Mr. Chu, you don't understand a painter's beliefs at all. As a painter, he would be proud of standing at a height, but he would never be happy to reach the top by some despicable means!"
"You asked me to withdraw from the competition and give first place to Si Gu'an. Do you think he will be happy?!"
"If it weren't for you, Gu'an would have won the championship three years ago and realized his dream!" Chu Jiangyuan chuckled with red eyes.
Si Wang only sneered and said, "Withdrawal is impossible. If Mr. Chu is willing, why not wait until next year? I have already defended the title for two years, so perhaps I won't participate next year."
After saying that, Si Wang strode away, but was stopped by Chu Jiangyuan, "I don't have time to wait until next year, Mr. Si, as long as you withdraw from the competition, you can set any conditions."
Even when Chu Jiangyuan was begging for help, his attitude still carried an inherent arrogance, and his eyes were cold without a trace of warmth.
Si Wang looked at him for a second and then immediately turned away, "Mr. Chu, there's no need for us to continue talking."
He left after he finished speaking, and as he neared the door, he heard his cold threat, "Mr. Si, if you don't accept my toast, the penalty drink won't taste so good!"
