◇ Chapter 20

Chu Jiangyuan glanced at the suitcase in Si Gu'an's hand, his eyes darkened, but he left without saying anything.

Si Gu'an glanced at He Yilan, who was on guard, and said with a chuckle, "Let's go."

He Yilan sent Si Gu'an to his new home. Before leaving, he suddenly hesitated and asked, "Xiao Wang, you and Chu Jiangyuan..."

Si Gu'an looked at him doubtfully, and He Yilan suddenly didn't know what to say. He sighed and said, "Forget it, Xiaowang. It's dangerous outside. Try to call me when you go out next time."

He Yilan kept thinking of the look Chu Jiangyuan gave him after he left this morning. That was definitely not just the attitude towards an enemy!

That was clearly an undercurrent of passion between two men!

"Okay, I understand." Si Gu'an didn't take He Yilan's words to heart.

It’s not that he wasn’t alert, it’s just that He Yilan had used too many tricks to seduce people before.

Si Gu'an went to the cemetery alone the next afternoon.

He asked someone to find out, and found out that the tombstone of "Si Gu'an" was next to his grandmother's tombstone, so he came here today to pay homage to his grandmother.

He brought a large bunch of dry white baby's breath to the cemetery, stroked the old man's photo on the tombstone, and his eyes instantly became moist.

"It's been four years, grandma, are you okay?"

The old man in the photo smiled kindly, and his voice and appearance were imprinted in Si Gu'an's eyes as if it were just yesterday, but in the blink of an eye, his mind automatically recalled the weak way his grandmother spoke before her death.

"Grandma, Gu'an is doing well. He has even won first place in the International Golden Painting Awards several times. I kept my promise..."

"It's just..." Si Gu'an squatted down, tears streaming down his face, "Grandma, I miss you so much."

Life in the orphanage has always made Si Gu'an long for family affection, but after marrying Chu Jiangyuan, Chu Jiangyuan left him with more loneliness. He was reluctant to recognize his parents, but Zhan Jianguo and his wife disliked his petty-mindedness.

The couple favored Zhan Mingcheng, but when his soul lived in Zhan Mingcheng's body, he was abandoned.

God has closed the door on him.

And his grandmother is his window, and of course, now he also has his teacher and his wife.

Si Gu'an talked a lot to his "grandmother", and when he was about to leave, his legs were numb and he lost consciousness.

"Grandma, I'll come to see you another day!" As he said this, he stood up holding the tombstone.

But he accidentally fell forward to his knees because his legs went weak. Suddenly, a strong arm reached out from beside him to support him.

Si Gu'an turned his head and his face turned pale instantly. It was Chu Jiangyuan!

Emotions surged in his eyes, a madness that Si Gu'an was no stranger to!

Si Gu'an subconsciously pushed the person away and said, "No need, Mr. Chu. I can stand on my own!"

But he stumbled for a second before helping the tombstone to steady itself.

Chu Jiangyuan was pushed back a step, but soon came forward again, staring at him intently: "Who are you?"

If you listen carefully, you can hear a slight tremor in his voice.

Si Gu'an stood up and said sarcastically, "Who did Mr. Chu mistake me for this time?"

But Chu Jiangyuan didn't care about his sarcasm at all. He grabbed his arm and asked excitedly, "You are Gu'an! You are not dead, right?!"

Si Gu'an clutched the tombstone tightly to hide his panic, and sneered, "Boss Chu, you mistook another man for your late husband in front of his tombstone. Do you want him to die with regrets?!"

His disgust pierced Chu Jiangyuan's heart so much that it hurt.

He slowly loosened his hand, lowered his head and said softly, "I'm sorry."

Si Gu'an patted the non-existent dust on his arm and said expressionlessly, "Boss Chu, I'm not the one you need to apologize to."

He glanced at the black-and-white photo of himself on the tombstone next to him and said sarcastically, "After all, it wasn't me you forced to death."

After saying that, he strode away.

He didn't see that Chu Jiangyuan behind him was holding his chest with a look of extreme pain.
