Chapter 90: Advance Preparation

Qin Zongye felt more and more that the little girl was very talented, and perhaps she would bring him more surprises.

Qin Zongye said, "Since you are going to take the college entrance examination, let me help you find some study materials."

Qin Zongye supports the girl's college entrance examination from the bottom of his heart. He now regards the girl as his friend, so of course he has to help her.

Ye Shuning was overjoyed to hear that Qin Zongye wanted to help her find review materials. It was too difficult for her to find them on her own, so she could only trouble Qin Zongye again. "Thank you, Mr. Qin."

Ye Shuning mentally prepared herself. After all, she already owed Qin Zongye so much, so this one time wouldn't be a big deal.

She felt that Qin Zongye was a really good person. He had helped her out of pity, which showed that he was a compassionate and kind person. Such people could be close friends. Perhaps she could cooperate with him in the future and make money together, which would be a way of repaying him.

Qin Zongye asked, "How is your new home?"

Ye Shuning replied, "Very good. The security there is very good, and the people around are mostly well-educated and respectable. The environment inside the house is also very nice, and it's quite comfortable to live in. I have to thank you for this, because as the landlord, you gave me such a low rent."

Qin Zongye smiled and said, "His family doesn't rely on the rent, so the amount doesn't matter. Don't feel burdened. Since you're working part-time, the factory will install a phone at your home for easier communication. That way, if anything happens, we can call immediately. The factory will cover the cost."

Ye Shuning felt that Qin Zongye was taking too much care of her. "Isn't this a bad idea? I haven't created any value for the factory yet, so how can I consume it first?"

Qin Zongye said, "This is also for work, so it's settled. Someone will come over to install the phone in a couple of days."

Finally, Qin Zongye wanted to personally send Ye Shuning home, but Ye Shuning refused without any further ado. However, Qin Zongye personally sent Ye Shuning out of the garment factory.

Several department managers who had finished the interview watched from the window as their boss personally escorted the young girl who came for the interview to the factory gate. Everyone was very curious about the relationship between this new designer and their boss.

Several people turned to look at Tao Guanglin, and the purchasing manager asked, "Hey, Assistant Tao, what's the relationship between this new designer and our boss?"

The production manager said, "Exactly. Could she be the boss's girlfriend?"

Tao Guanglin looked at the curious eyes of the people around him and said, "I don't know either, but what is certain is that our boss knew this Miss Shu before. I guess they used to be friends."

When they heard this, they all looked at each other and decided that they should be more polite to this new designer. Didn't they see their boss being so polite to this young girl? He even personally escorted her out of the factory gate. They didn't get that kind of treatment.

What if the girl has a background, or ends up being favored by the boss and becoming the boss's wife? They can't afford to offend her.

Ye Shuning was in a good mood now that she had found a job. She planned to celebrate today, so she went to the market and bought two pounds of pork ribs and some prawns, and made something delicious for little Li Jingyu in the evening.

Ye Shuning also bought some drawing tools at the store. After returning home, she began to work on her designs. Since she had made a promise to Qin Zongye, she couldn't break it. As agreed, she was to produce ten designs a month, which wasn't a difficult task for her.

After drawing two designs, Ye Shuning took out a few books she had bought from the bookstore. They were all for college entrance exam review, and she had prepared them in advance. Finding these books from the bookstore was not easy, but it would help Ye Shuning understand the current knowledge structure in Nangang.

She picked up a math review book and saw that it wasn't difficult. She patiently flipped through the book and had a preliminary understanding of the difficulty of the math course.

The knowledge in the book was simply too easy for her. Although she had graduated from university many years ago, her work was inseparable from calculations, and she occasionally tutored her colleagues' children, so the math was not difficult at all.

Not to mention chemistry, language subjects are not difficult either. They are an indispensable part of her life. The difficulty of taking the college entrance examination is nothing to Ye Shuning.

Ye Shuning roughly flipped through several books and felt that it should not be difficult to get into Nangang University.

As long as she entered university, she could gradually show her strength. Nangang University has various laboratories, and she could borrow some of them to conduct research. Of course, this was also for others to see.

The reason she hadn't revealed her chemical abilities in the mainland was because she didn't want to be suspected or even investigated. She didn't want to cause trouble for herself and her father.

Coming to Nangang can advance her plan by a few years, which can be considered a blessing in disguise.

However, she had to find a way to inform her father in the mainland and let him know that she and Li Jingyu were safe. Otherwise, she was afraid that her father would be too worried and do something extreme.

And Li Shaozhong, he must be the most worried about her and Li Jingyu being kidnapped. Letting him know about their situation would also put his mind at ease.

Ye Shuning thought that perhaps she could find a way to contact Ling Xuan, and perhaps pass the message to her father through the Ling family. She believed that Ling Xuan would definitely be willing to help.

That afternoon, Ye Shuning went to the research institute. She first gathered the eggs laid by the hens into a basket and filled the hens' troughs with food. She looked at the newly planted vegetables, which had already grown into large seedlings, and thinned them out. She noticed that the fish in the fountain, though crowded, were still doing well.

After a busy day at the institute, she saw it was almost time to cook. She took out her net and scooped up a large grass carp to make fish balls. The fish balls were tender, chewy, and boneless, perfect for children. She also picked out some vegetables and left the institute with a basket of eggs.

Ye Shuning went to the kitchen and started stewing the braised pork ribs. Li Jingyu loved braised pork ribs the most, and she planned to eat them once a week from now on.

Now that she has a job, she can definitely afford it.

After the ribs were stewed in the pot, she began to kill the fish, remove the scales and internal organs, and clean it. Then she cut off the fish head, cut the fish into pieces, and removed the fish skin, fish bones and other unwanted things, leaving only the white fish meat. Then she minced the fish into meat paste.

Add egg white and various seasonings to the meat paste, mix well, squeeze into balls and put into the pot. Boil water over low heat and the fish balls will be cooked quickly.

Ye Shuning took out the cooked fish balls and set them aside. She planned to make fish ball soup in the evening.

She first simmered the rice in the rice cooker, selected the vegetables, and cooked the braised spareribs. She turned off the heat and left the spareribs in the pot to simmer, waiting for Jie Li Jingyu to come back and heat them up.

Seeing that it was time for Li Jingyu to get out of school, Ye Shuning went to pick up Li Jingyu.
