Chapter 349 Staying to Take Care of the Kids

The female demon looked anxious.

"Lady Philomona is gone. The little prince has no demonic energy, so he won't grow up."

Safis finally looked at the cub Safa, and after a long while, he reached out a hand, took his son, and held him in his arms.

Maggie's gaze followed Safa the entire time, and she had an urge to steal him away.

She really loves cute children, and she can't help but take a second look whenever she sees one.

Al noticed Maggie's reaction, turned his head slightly, and asked softly.

"How do you like it?"

Upon hearing El's words, Maggie nodded instinctively.

"Of course, who wouldn't like something so cute?"

Even knowing that this person would become a great demon who could threaten her life in the future, at least Safa was still cute now and hadn't done anything bad, so she didn't want to connect them.

"..."

After providing Safa with all the magic energy, Safis stared silently at the well-fed and happy cub for a long time before finally revealing a look of disgust.

"You like it? Then it's yours."

With that, he tossed Safa to Maggie.

Safa, still in mid-air, was unaware of what was happening, his big eyes filled with a blank expression. Maggie, however, was startled by Safa's action and immediately caught Safa as he was thrown over.

"!"

The soft, adorable cub seemed to think its father was playing with it, and it giggled as it landed in Maggie's arms. The cub's innocent voice was so sweet it melted anyone's heart.

Her face still had baby fat, fair and tender, plump like jelly, making you want to take a bite.

Maggie couldn't control the upward curve of her lips, and her hands were itching to move, but she forcibly restrained herself because her father was still around.

It's rather impolite to humiliate someone's son in front of them.

Maggie was genuinely tempted by Safis's offer, but considering the future and the possibility of her suddenly disappearing at any time, she could only regretfully decline the proposal.

"Unfortunately, I can't raise them."

However, demons are indeed different from humans; they readily give their sons away to be raised by others.

Maggie sighed inwardly.

"He was joking."

It seemed that Maggie's expression and tone were too serious, even El fell silent. After a long while, he looked away and gently reminded Maggie.

"Huh? Oh, okay."

Maggie was so engrossed in the joy of snuggling with the cubs that she only looked up blankly after hearing El's words.

At that moment, Safis was looking at her with an ambiguous gaze that sent a chill down her spine for no apparent reason.

He probably never expected that a joke would actually lead to someone trying to take his son away from him.

The Demon King's emotions are unpredictable; one second he can be laughing and joking with you, and the next second he can behead you. If El weren't here, who knows what Safis might have done.

This is Philomona's son. As long as Safa is still alive, Philomona will come back sooner or later. Even for this reason, Safis would never give Safa to someone else to raise.

However, he did find it disgusting, because in his eyes, Safa's bone wings were too ugly. A demon of time, born with underdeveloped wings, only a tiny little bit.

"Okay, good."

Maggie then sensed the faint killing intent emanating from Safis, but she didn't pay it any mind or feel intimidated. Although she agreed, she didn't seem to care much.

Anyway, she won't die; she might wake up from the dream in the next second.

Besides, the Demon King can't solve her problems right now, so she has no reason to stay here any longer. Visiting Hell has been a novel experience, and she should leave.

As Maggie was thinking, the entire Demon King's castle suddenly began to shake violently, so violently that Maggie almost lost her footing and fell.

Even so, she carefully protected the cub in her arms, making sure he wasn't bumped or hurt.

The tremors didn't last long, stopping in a moment, but both El and Safis showed a slightly solemn expression, and Safis even spread his huge wings again.

Is it about to wake up again?

El's voice was slightly lower, and the atmosphere was much heavier than before.

Maggie keenly sensed that the atmosphere between the two had become serious, so she remained silent and did not interfere in their affairs.

Actually, after she entered Hell, she discovered something: angels and demons are not only not opposed, but may even have a good relationship.

Before today, she would never have believed that the Demon King and the Archangel could sit down and chat peacefully.

"No need for the archangel to worry, I can handle the matter of hell."

Safis's face darkened considerably. Compared to his anger at Philomona's escape, he now resembled a volcano about to erupt. Although he suppressed his rage, the energy accumulating within him had reached a terrifying level.

He was serious now, and his aura was even more terrifying than when they first met.

"No, this isn't just a matter for hell."

El shook his head, denying Safis's statement, and then spread his white wings, seemingly preparing to leave as well.

Seeing the two of them poised to attack, Maggie finally realized that El seemed to have forgotten about her, and hurriedly spoke up.

"Wait, where are you going?"

Normally she wouldn't have asked, since it seemed like a rather serious question, but now that she was in a dream, she didn't want to be alone in the Demon King's castle, so she spoke up to stop him.

Safis didn't speak, but gave El a look that said, "Your people, you explain yourself."

Elton paused before speaking.

"Tartaros is about to wake up; we need to suppress it."

After saying that, the two flew away from the castle through the broken gap and flew into the distance, leaving Maggie standing there holding Safa, completely bewildered.

A faint, surprised voice could be heard from the air.

"You even told her this? And you still say she's not your lover?"

The wind was quite strong outside, so Maggie didn't hear Safis's complaints; she was still pondering the last words El had thrown at her.

Tartarus, a name that sounds somewhat familiar; I've heard it somewhere before.

"..."

She thought for a long time until she remembered her conversation with El when they first met in real life.

"It's the abyss..."

She murmured to herself, and her expression finally turned serious.

Maggie originally thought that Tartarus would only pose a threat to the continent in the future, but now it seems that things are not quite the same as she thought.

The hidden dangers had existed for a long time, but the problem of rampant monsters only became serious after the gods were reincarnated.

During that period, someone must have done something to minimize Tartarus's influence...

Thinking of this, Maggie's expression gradually became complicated.

Since El and Safis were clearly there to resolve this matter, and although she initially had a very bad impression of angels, it now seemed that perhaps the reality was different from what she had imagined...
