"Sister, you're out!"
Harlanser waited outside. When he saw Baixi come out, his eyes lit up instantly. The pale red gems were breathtakingly beautiful.
"Yes, it's been resolved."
Bai Xi took a deep breath, lowered her eyes and stopped looking at him, her voice filled with complex emotions.
"he...."
Harlanser hesitated for a moment, glancing behind Baixi before speaking hesitantly.
"It's alright, he won't follow us anymore."
Bai Xi shook her head and didn't say anything more.
Although Harlanser sensed that the atmosphere was a bit strange, he had no reason not to listen since it was his sister who said it, and he wouldn't press her if Baixi didn't want to talk about it.
And so, Bai Xi walked forward, ascending the spiral staircase until she reached the top of the tower, the two remaining silent the entire time.
All the previous romantic feelings vanished. Bai Xi didn't react, and Harlanser didn't dare to mention it either.
He would occasionally stare at the vines growing from the ends of his hair. Because they liked Bai Xi so much, they all eagerly stretched out their branches to try to touch her, but they were all suppressed by Harlanser, who was afraid of upsetting Bai Xi.
Harlancel's vines were not entirely under his control; like a cat's tail, they would follow their instincts and do what they liked if he wasn't careful.
For example, if he likes Bai Xi, these vines will involuntarily move closer to Bai Xi.
So much so that even now, he still has to go to great lengths to control his vines.
Bai Xi walked quietly ahead. Logically speaking, after not seeing Nesser for so long, she should have had many days to chat, but she didn't want to say a word right now.
As she swayed, she caught a glimpse of the cross hanging around her neck out of the corner of her eye, and Bai Xi sighed again.
She reached out and grasped the cross in her hand, her mind replaying what had just happened between her and Ulysses.
In fact, after Ulysses fell, Besh stood beside him for a long time, feeling very strange at the time, and even considered whether to let him go.
If we have to say something, Ulysses did help her and didn't cause her any real harm. If she punishes him by making him sleep forever, isn't that a bit like discarding a useful tool after it has served its purpose?
But as she remained lost in thought, and the clock ticked away, the cross embedded in his chest suddenly burst forth with a blood-red light.
The light illuminated almost the entire room and Bai Xi's eyes.
Bai Xi had a subconscious feeling that something was wrong, and reached out to grab the 'Nightmare Crescent', but she didn't expect that after she touched the cross, the light shone even brighter, so bright that she had to close her eyes.
When she opened her eyes again, the cross was already in her hand, and power was flowing through it.
It is... the power of vampires.
Her body also contains a portion of the power that only vampires should possess, the ability known as 'immortality'.
Bai Xi stood frozen in place, her power already formidable enough that she had no intention of coveting the power of the progenitor of vampires. Therefore, her first reaction after the incident was to check on Ulysses's condition.
Sure enough, he turned even paler.
If he was usually about the same color as a corpse, now he looked like a corpse that had been soaked in drugs for decades, eerily pale.
Bai Xi clutched the 'Nightmare Crescent Moon', feeling flustered.
The issue now isn't whether to put the cross back in to continue sealing him, but rather whether this guy will have his power stolen by 'Nightmare Crescent' and die.
Although she disliked Ulysses, she didn't intend to kill him completely.
Bai Xi stood there hesitantly, unsure of what to do, until she heard Duluso's voice again.
"He's fine, he won't die."
The primordial elf's tone was calm, and it sounded exceptionally clear in the quiet room.
Bai Xi was stunned when she heard this.
"He is a progenitor of vampires who has regained all his blood. He won't die just because 'Nightmare Crescent' takes away his power. You underestimate him. From the beginning of his birth until now, if he were so easy to kill, he wouldn't have survived until now."
Duruso seemed to know Ulysses very well, and after his explanation, Bai Xi's emotions stabilized considerably.
"Okay, thank you."
Bai Xi was actually a little embarrassed. She hadn't expected her thoughts to be so obvious, which Duluso saw clearly and even explained to her.
"It's alright. After this, he won't approach you again. It will take him a long time to recover. What you need to do now is find the Earth-type Primal Spirit as soon as possible and go back to the past."
Although Durouse sounded calm, his anxiety was obvious.
Every time I talk to Baixi, I keep bringing up the idea of going back to the past.
"Okay, I understand."
Bai Xi nodded, took one last look at Ulysses lying on the ground, and then turned and walked out. Anyway, he would leave on his own after he woke up, so she didn't need to do anything.
"Sigh, I hope I can make it in time."
Durusso let out a long sigh and then fell asleep again.
Actually, Bai Xi always felt that Duluso's condition seemed a bit abnormal. All the other elemental spirits were full of energy, so why was he the only one who seemed sleepy every day and was sleeping all the time?
Bai Xi touched her chin, feeling that this might be the price she paid for what Duruso had done.
However, Durouse was unwilling to talk about it, and she couldn't force him to.
As her memories returned, Bai Xi accepted Duluso's explanation, but every time her fingers touched the 'Nightmare Crescent,' her feelings were indescribable. It contained the energy of Ulysses, and she was going to take it back to the past. What was this all about?
Just as Bai Xi's mind was racing with a jumble of thoughts, Harlanser's cautious voice came from behind her.
"Sister, we've arrived."
Even after reverting to his powerful godhood, the traits that were present in Nesser can still be found entirely in Haranser. For example, he cares deeply about Baixi's emotions and is very afraid of making Baixi unhappy.
"Well, I need to see the Sage. As a deity, it is inconvenient for you to appear. Please hide for now."
This is the area where the sages live. Considering Haransel's special circumstances, Bai Xi simply let him hide.
One of the reasons why gods cannot frequently appear on the mainland is that they cannot have a strong stance. This is a rule that binds them to their divine position when they become gods, and they can only show favoritism towards their own race within the scope of the rules.
If the forest god were to appear so openly on human territory, it would have a very negative impact.
