And I am afraid of moonlight

And I am afraid of moonlight

Fu Ying raised the corners of her narrow eyes, tilted her head and looked at him, her eyes moving, and she said with a smile: "Then do you want to go with me? Leave this quagmire."

Ni was stunned for a moment, his purple eyes reflecting Fu Ying's smiling eyebrows.

He suddenly chuckled: "You want to take me back?"

He paused, his voice filled with strangeness and coldness: "Aren't you afraid that I will kill them?"

"Kill him in front of me?" Fu Ying also chuckled, with a hint of bright color at the corners of his eyes.

Their eyes locked, their gazes seemed to be dipped in ink, unable to see the bottom as they stared.

"Luo Heng is trash in your eyes, so why should I be what you want?"

Fu Ying placed her fingertips on his chest, her red lips curled up in a sarcastic arc: "Ni, you don't love anyone, you even hate yourself, how ridiculous."

Ni's purple eyes revealed an undisguised bloodthirstiness that was creepy.

Fu Ying didn't care and suddenly pinched his jaw with her fingertips, forcing him to look into her eyes.

"Luo Heng gave birth to you in despair, but what about you?"

"In order to kill him, he even hesitated to get entangled with a wicked woman like me. How could he go to such lengths?"

"In my eyes, you and Luo Heng are twin flowers born from the same root. I won't kill him, and I won't kill you either. Let me help Luo Heng solve the star pattern problem. You two can coexist, isn't that good?"

Fu Ying gently stroked the side of his neck with her fingernails: "Why does one have to die?"

Ni's purple pupils flickered in the shadows, like fireflies quenched by poison.

Ni sneered and waved away Fu Ying's hand.

For the first time, naked disgust welled up in those enchanting purple eyes: "He must die."

"Or, help me kill him..."

Ni stared at her straight, his red lips curled into an almost crazy smile: "Or, I'll kill you too."

Luoheng is the essence condensed from moonlight, as cold as frost.

In the eyes of others, whenever the silver moon was high in the sky, he seemed to be blessed by the gods, with petals spread out and moonlight flowing in every vein, as if he had been endowed with divine light by the beast god.

And "he" is nothing more than a shadow that crawled out of Luo Heng's abyss of despair.

Whenever Luo Heng's heart is broken, "he" curled up in the darkness will be awakened.

At first, "he" was just a useless person curled up and trembling in the deep crevice of the rock. He had seen all the pain, despair, and filth in the world. What Luo Heng could not bear was swallowed by "him".

In order to survive, "he" had no choice but to gnaw on those blood-stained beast crystals.

A moonflower grows by illuminating the moon. But one day, the moonlight becomes a weapon that tortures "him". Every ray of moonlight seems to burn "his" filthy spirit. "He" can no longer illuminate the moon.

Therefore, "he" and Luo Heng will take turns controlling this rotten body as day and night change.

Whenever the first ray of light of the last dawn emerges, Luo Heng's consciousness will fade away, and "he" will crawl out from the abyss of consciousness and take over this body.

Every inch of "his" skin was silently screaming in resistance.

And what about Luo Heng? She will never remember the sobbing and blood.

Fortunately, the moon rarely appears during the rainy season.

The two of them were never twins born from the same root.

They are just roots entangled with fate, one end is rooted in the bright moonlight, the other end is stuck in the fetid quagmire.

"He" is Luo Heng's shadow, a festering scar, and the dirtiest protective color.

He wants everyone to die together.

An increasingly strong fragrance was surging around Ni's body, and his long purple hair moved without wind, as if he were alive. But at the moment when murderous intent burst out, a slender white wrist came into his field of vision.

The warm fingertips gently covered the back of his icy hand, bringing a little warmth.

"Let go." The low and hoarse voice sounded like an evil ghost from the Netherworld.

After Fu Ying said this, he obviously didn't want to pretend anymore.

At this moment, a ray of moonlight suddenly shone in from the window. The clear light passed through the gaps between their intertwined fingers, leaving mottled shadows on the back of his hand. The pain made him tremble all over, almost in spasm.

Her long eyelashes trembled slightly, her purple eyes stared at Fu Ying's hand, and a sickly smile slowly appeared at the corner of her lips.

"Since you know I don't love you."

"How dare you touch me?"

There was a hint of playful cruelty in his voice, and his skin seemed almost transparent in the moonlight, as if it would crumble into ashes in the next moment.

Fu Ying stubbornly held his hand tightly, her eyes curved: "I can teach you, how..."

Before she finished speaking, she noticed something strange. A sticky liquid oozed out from the palms of their hands that were touching. She frowned and said, "Ni, what's wrong with you?"

Fu Ying raised his eyes and met a pair of gradually blurred purple eyes.

Ni's skin was cracking at a speed visible to the naked eye, leaving fine bloodstains, which looked extremely horrifying.

He broke free from Fuying's hand, his slender figure staggered back a few steps, and his messy purple curls scattered on his pale cheeks.

He walked towards the half-open bamboo window, approached it, and pushed it open with a loud bang.

There was a lull in the heavy rain outside the window, and the bright moon was hanging high in the sky, almost blinding.

He tilted his head back and let the moonlight shine on his face.

He suddenly coughed up a mouthful of blood. The greenish foam choked out of his lips and trickled down his pale jaw. He chuckled softly, "How ridiculous! This body... I've never had the final say."

"He's afraid of you and doesn't dare to come out."

"And I am afraid of moonlight."

Blood foam oozed from between his lips and teeth as he spoke, his voice growing fainter and fainter: "Fuying, you will never be able to teach a... monster who was born without a heart."

Under the moonlight, Ni's slender figure seemed to be emitting fine mist.

Another timid and weak breath is awakening in this body.

He closed his eyes, his whole body in so much pain that it was almost numb, waiting to be swallowed up by the moonlight.

—Isn’t Luo Heng the most terrified? Isn’t she terrified of facing all this?

——He was determined to tear open this body and let him face all the blood.

The corners of Ni's mouth curled up into a sarcastic arc of joy, and the smile froze on his lips.

He slowly lowered his eyes, and saw a pair of slender but extremely strong arms tightly wrapped around his waist.

The breath coming from behind him was very warm, burning his back again and again.

He didn't understand how such a slender and frail body could emit such a powerful aura.

"Let go." Ni's voice was hoarse, but his fingertips began to spasm uncontrollably.

The pain of the moonlight burning gradually disappeared, and the warmth coming from behind him was like a barrier, isolating all the sharp blades of light and protecting him.

Fu Ying rested his forehead against the trembling back, and spiritual power rushed into his body desperately.

Her voice was so soft it sounded like a sigh: "When you're in pain, can you please stop smiling?"

Ni trembled all over, but did not look back.

Fu Ying was still holding him, and her spiritual power slowly penetrated the marks left on him by the moonlight.

"Loving someone is the most difficult thing to learn in this world."

"You may be a heartless and heartless student, but I am the most proficient teacher in this subject."

Ni's back was as stiff as iron. He couldn't understand Fu Ying's words, but he could feel his cracked body being warmed inch by inch by her. The clouds obscured the moonlight, and his heartbeat was somewhat out of control.
