I have never confused you with Ni
Fu Ying came to the bamboo house where Ni Zeng lived. He paused in front of the door for a long time. After a while, he raised his hand and knocked on the door gently.
There was total silence in the bamboo house, as if even the sound of the wind had stopped.
Fu Ying raised his eyebrows slightly, and gently stroked the inscription on his waist with his fingertips. While giving instructions, Luo Heng had not left and was still in the room.
"Luoheng?" she called softly and knocked on the door again.
For a long while, there was still silence inside, no one answered, but there were some subtle rustling sounds.
Fu Ying narrowed his eyes slightly, and finally pushed the door open and walked in.
The light in the bamboo house was dim, and it was blocked by vines on all sides, leaving almost no gaps.
She looked around and finally found Luo Heng in the corner.
He wrapped himself in vines into a big cocoon, as if he was escaping. Nothing could be seen clearly inside the impenetrable vines.
Fu Ying half-knelt down, his hands covering the vines. "Luo Heng? Are you planning to suffocate yourself?"
As soon as she finished speaking, the vine grew serrations, suddenly jumped up, and bit her wrist fiercely.
Fu Ying did not dodge or evade, allowing the vine's teeth to penetrate his skin. Blood fell on the vine, and the vine's teeth quickly retracted as if it was burned, and then retreated in panic.
Fu Ying curled her red lips, and her bloody fingertips reached straight into the vines and pulled them apart.
The vine cocoon fell apart, revealing Luo Heng curled up inside.
He sat on the ground with his knees hugged. His pretty face, whose gender was indistinguishable, was covered with bruises and blood at the corners of his lips. He looked much more seriously injured than Bai Cang and the other two.
The thin vines wrapped around him like a last refuge.
Fu Ying looked at his embarrassed and stubborn appearance, and the corners of her lips twitched slightly. She sighed softly, reached out and grabbed Luo Heng's wrist bone, and pulled him up from the ground.
Luo Heng's body stiffened slightly, and his gaze paused when he saw the wound on her wrist that was still bleeding. In the end, he did not struggle and let her pull him to sit down beside the bamboo bed.
"Does it hurt?" Fu Ying took out the ointment and gently applied it on the bruise on his cheekbone.
The riot of colour on his face should have been funny, but the corners of his eyes were red, he had tears in his eyes, and he bit his red lips tightly. His beauty was hard to conceal. Luo Heng's uniquely delicate temperament made him even easier to bully.
Luo Heng and Ni are completely two different people, and this is extremely clear at this moment.
Luo Heng's lips were pursed until they turned pale, and her clear purple eyes stared at Fu Ying without blinking. After a moment, she spoke in a hoarse voice, "Why didn't you hide just now?"
Fu Ying's eyes were focused on the wound on his face. Upon hearing that, the corners of her eyes curved slightly and she whispered, "Not angry anymore?"
Luo Heng lowered her eyelashes and shook her head: "I hurt you, so they deserve to teach me a lesson."
"Oh?" Fu Ying was slightly surprised and shook his bloody wrist: "Then why did you hurt me?"
Blood dripped onto Luo Heng's neck, meandering down along her collarbone, bringing a little warmth.
Luo Heng shuddered all over and turned her face away abruptly. Her long eyelashes cast an uneasy shadow on her pale skin.
"I..." His Adam's apple rolled, and a complicated expression surged in his purple pupils. He moved his lips, wanting to say something, but in the end he just lowered his head dejectedly, his voice so low that it was almost inaudible: "...I'm sorry, I didn't mean it."
He was just angry at that moment.
In her mind, she and Tanyue turned around and left, decisively and without hesitation.
Obviously... he followed her back, but she ignored him.
The vines that sprang up suddenly were out of control in a hurry, and when she came to her senses, they had already hurt her.
"It's okay." Fu Ying chuckled, wiped the blood off his wrist, and applied medicine. The wound was almost invisible.
Her eyebrows curved, and there was a smile in her charming voice: "In order to prevent you from getting beaten again, I'd better heal myself."
Luo Heng paused, then looked up at her smiling eyes. After a moment, she pursed her lips and asked, "Why?"
"Why?" Fu Ying asked in confusion, then she moved back and pointed at his collar and said, "Open it so I can see if you have any injuries."
Her relationship with Luo Heng is now very complicated. Although they are still a contracted couple, there is no love between them.
In this state, she couldn't take off his clothes, even though she had seen his body many times.
Luo Heng looked at her avoiding suspicion, her eyelashes trembling slightly, and shook her head: "Nothing."
He stood up and walked to the window, whispering, "I'm fine, you can go."
"Are you really okay?" Fu Ying walked to his side and looked at him sideways.
Luo Heng curled his fingers, his knuckles turning pale. He turned to look at her, red rimming his purple eyes. He sneered, "You're clearly not sincere, yet you're pretending to care about me? When you look at me now, do you think you're looking at Ni?"
Fu Ying looked at Luo Heng who suddenly burst into anger, his eyes flashing slightly.
This may be the so-called fledgling complex.
Luo Heng, who always likes to solve problems by escaping, met the first orc "Fu Ying". Unfortunately, this encounter not only did not become a salvation, but instead became another scar that is difficult to heal.
After that, he left the Oasis Tribe. In order to survive in the cruel Orc Continent, his soul split into a reverse one. He hid in the deepest part of his consciousness with peace of mind, and only came out to absorb the moonlight in the deep night.
The world has never given him any tenderness, and no one has been kind to him.
Even the other self that split from his soul wanted to kill him and occupy this body alone.
Luo Heng is used to escaping and retreating because he has never felt the kindness of the world.
And she was obviously the first person to lend him a helping hand. Perhaps because of the bond of the contract, this feeling became even more complicated. It was not love, but a kind of dependence.
When Bai Cang and the other two attacked him, she chose to let it go and watch coldly, and even came to visit them late. To Luo Heng, this was an unspeakable neglect, so she got angry.
Fu Ying raised the corners of her lips slightly, the sunlight outlining her porcelain-white skin, adding a layer of bright color to her smile.
She shook her head and said softly, "I have never confused you with Ni."
As she spoke, she raised her finger and gently wiped away the moisture from the corners of Luo Heng's eyes, laughing softly, "Ni won't cry."
Luo Heng's lips were tightly pursed as she looked at Fu Ying angrily.
"Here, there's medicine inside." Fu Ying flipped his wrist and tied a storage bag around Luo Heng's waist.
Luo Heng froze and was about to speak when Fu Ying turned and left.
He untied the small bag from his waist, held it in his hand and stared at it quietly.
It is embroidered with a moonflower growing on the edge of a cliff. The moonlight is shining and covering the petals. In a trance, you can even smell the rich fragrance. It is so lifelike that even the patterns on each leaf overlap.
He knew that she had prepared one storage bag for each of her beastly husbands.
So, does the thing in his hand belong to Ni or to him?
Luo Heng's knuckles tightened unconsciously. After a while, a self-deprecating smile appeared at the corner of her mouth. She was so cowardly and useless. If it wasn't for the purpose of rebelling, why would she bring him back?
