She never said enough about her madness

She never said enough about her madness

Fu Ying was slightly startled, and after hearing Teng's sour tone, he chuckled.

She reached out and pinched Teng's jaw, her fingertips gently stroking his cold and hard lines. A cunning light flashed in the corners of her eyes, and her voice was a bit seductive: "I think he is not as good-looking as you."

As she finished speaking, a cold snort came from a distance.

A cold light flashed in Yu Li's golden pupils. He glanced at them coldly and turned into a huge golden eagle and flew up with its wings flapping. As for the question of "whether it looks good or not", he was too lazy to argue with it even a word.

What he wanted to know more now was whether what Fu Ying said about "reshaping the star pattern" was true or false.

Bai Cang stepped forward and said in a deep voice, "Alright, the most important thing now is to find Qinglan first."

Teng raised his chin slightly, and the coldness in his eyes dissipated a little, as if he had been coaxed. He bent down and picked up Fu Ying horizontally, with a wanton smile on the corner of his lips. Without even looking at Bai Cang, he rushed away like a gust of wind.

Bai Cang shook his head, glanced at Danyue and Luoheng, and said, "Let's go."

The group moved in a hurry, but Wu was obviously well aware of the habits of the Golden Eagle Orcs. In order to avoid being pursued, they moved very secretly. They searched from early morning to dusk, and almost searched all the mountains and forests around Yunwu Cliff, but they still couldn't find anyone.

Tengshe narrowed his eyes slightly and sneered, "Qinglan trusts Wu so much that he can hide so well with him."

Tuanzi hugged Bai Cang's neck and moved restlessly.

Bai Cang rubbed Tuanzi's back soothingly, his amber eyes gleaming in the twilight as he said calmly, "Male and female of the same sex should help each other, and trust is a matter of course."

His voice was neither loud nor soft, but it made Teng hum softly.

Fu Ying, who was walking in front, suddenly stopped. Tan Yue immediately stepped forward and asked in a clear voice, "Do you want to take a break?"

Fu Ying shook his head and said with a curved lip, "I can feel that they are nearby."

As soon as he finished speaking, the smile on Fu Ying's face suddenly froze, and he suddenly raised his eyes and looked into the distance.

"What's wrong?" Tan Yue was quick to notice her strangeness, and his expression grew serious. Instantly, he extended his hand and clenched it in mid-air, his long knuckles trembling slightly. "What's going on? The moisture in the air is disappearing."

Fu Ying took a deep breath, curling her slender fingers slightly: "...It's underground fire."

Bai Cang and others also noticed that something was wrong. Everyone was nervous and gathered around Fu Ying.

Luo Heng's face turned pale, and hesitantly said, "The plants around here... they're afraid."

"boom--"

The earth trembled without warning, and in the distance came the loud sound of trees breaking.

A wave of scorching air surged up from the ground, and the evening sky was reflected in a strange red color. The wild beasts in the forest fled frantically, and the birds flew into the sky in panic. In an instant, the whole forest was boiling.

At this moment, Yu Li, who was circling in the sky, made a sharp dive and turned into a human form the moment he landed.

His brows were sharp, and his voice was filled with a rare anxiety: "A wildfire has broken out! You must immediately—"

"The vitality of the Wu's contract pattern has weakened." Fu Ying interrupted Yu Li and pressed his fingertips on the golden and red bird pattern on his waist.

She shook her head and said, "Something happened to Wu, and Qinglan hasn't left. They are trapped, and I can't leave."

Before she finished speaking, Teng immediately grabbed her wrist, frowning: "You can't go alone!"

Fu Ying raised her eyes to look at him, her voice cold and stern: "You don't believe me? I will bring Qinglan and Wu back with me! Now, you must leave here immediately. If you stay for a moment longer, you will distract me and become a burden. Do you understand?"

Bai Cang sensed the burning heat in the air, looked at Fu Ying deeply, and whispered, "You have to be careful."

After he finished speaking, he suddenly grabbed Teng's arm and ran away following the tide of beasts.

Danyue took a deep breath, said nothing more, and left with Luoheng.

They knew very well that with Fu Ying's abilities, it would not be difficult for her to survive the wildfire, but it was obviously impossible for her to abandon Qinglan and Wu. However, they were orcs, and the power of the wildfire was extraordinary. Instead of staying here and being a burden to her, it would be better for them to leave first so that she could go and save people without any worries.

Fu Ying watched them leave before turning to look at the sky that was dyed red by the firelight.

The underground fire erupted, and the rolling magma seemed to come alive, flooding the mountains and forests. The wildfires raged, and the heat waves distorted the air, as if even the lungs were burning.

She carefully sensed the contract pattern, her eyes darkened, and she walked towards the forest fire without hesitation.

Yu Li stared at her back, his sharp eyes filled with shock. "Are you crazy? That's underground fire! It can even melt rock walls and mountains into ashes!"

Fu Ying ignored Yu Li's words, and tapped her toes lightly. She was as nimble as a swallow, and like a moth flying into the flames in the blazing mountain fire, so slender and tiny, yet she went upstream against the tide of beasts with a determination that was astonishing.

Yu Li suddenly realized that the rumors about the "evil woman of the oasis tribe" might not have fully described her madness.

*

Flames raged and thick smoke billowed.

"Wu! Wake up!" Qinglan's fur curled up, and the gray-brown pupils reflected the waves of fire. He fiercely hit a fallen giant tree, but unfortunately the thick tree trunk did not move at all, which made his paw pads even more bloody.

"Wu!" the snow leopard roared, blood spurting out from between its teeth.

His animal eyes were fixed on the figure crushed by the giant tree. The young man was lying on the ground, his long golden-red hair was dull, his pale face was covered in blood, and the dark red winding around his lips was mixed with fragments of internal organs. He was already unconscious.

The tree trunk that was pressing against his waist and abdomen was making a creepy cracking sound as the fire raged.

"Wu!" Qinglan clenched his sharp teeth tightly and breathed heavily from his throat.

He arched his back and slammed into the huge tree again and again.

Wu betrayed the tribe to save him, and he couldn't abandon him in the raging wildfire.

The wildfire roared closer, the distorted and hot air was like a cage, and Qinglan's heart was filled with despair.

He finally stopped hitting the huge tree, and his front paws sank weakly into the charred mud. He lowered his body, his ears drooping, and his gray-brown pupils reflected the approaching wall of fire. His consciousness was a little hazy.

"Aying..." Qinglan let out a whimper from his throat, it was no longer clear and ethereal, but hoarse and out of tune.

His female was still waiting for him at home, but he couldn't go back.

At the moment when the flames engulfed the world, a slender figure suddenly appeared in Qinglan's gray-brown pupils.

Qinglan raised his head and murmured in a trance, the tips of his ears twitching unconsciously: "When I die, will I still be able to see Aying?"

Fu Ying raised his hand to lift the huge tree away, looking at the magma that was close to his feet, he turned his wrist, and a long frost whip flew into the air. The cold air spread out quickly, freezing all the approaching magma. In an instant, bursts of thick smoke rose.

She turned and looked at the disheveled man and leopard, her brows furrowed.

Fu Ying stepped forward, opened Wu's mouth neatly, stuffed a pill into him, and turned to Qing Lan and said, "Let's go."

Qinglan heard such a real voice, and his body shuddered. He turned into a human form and said in disbelief: "Aying?"

Fu Ying didn't respond, but put his arm around Qing Lan's waist. With the sound of the scroll tearing, golden light dissipated.

When he opened his eyes again, the three of them had appeared at the foot of the Cloudy Cliff.
