This was a stranger Qing'er had never seen before.
The person in front of him looked him up and down, as if observing him. Her eyes were frank, not as blatant and burning as the way most guests looked at him when he was in Chunmanyuan, which was disgusting.
But even so, Qing'er still felt a little uncomfortable being stared at like that by a stranger.
His intuition told him that this person was coming for him, and Qing'er couldn't help but feel a little alert.
"Who are you? What are you going to do?" Qing'er took a step back and took a defensive stance.
"My name is Zhuang Rongjun. I want to discuss something with Master Qing'er." Zhuang Rongjun directly stated her purpose.
After coming to Renhe County and meeting Lin Liansheng, she had been dealing with the matter of that heartless boy. Now, their relationship was pretty good, and the heartless boy also agreed to go back to the capital with her. She finally had the mind to deal with other things.
She did not forget the purpose of her visit to Renhe County.
"I'm sorry, miss, I don't know you at all, so there's no need to talk to you. I have something else to do, so I won't chat with you anymore." Qing'er looked calm, but her palms under her sleeves were sweating, and her body trembled slightly involuntarily.
After being forced last time, he fell seriously ill. After he recovered, his mood seemed to have improved and everything was back to normal, but Qing'er knew that he was still affected.
When strangers approached her, even though she knew they had no such intentions, she still felt fear involuntarily and her body trembled uncontrollably.
He often had nightmares in the middle of the night. Every time he woke up, he wanted to hurt himself. He cut his arms several times.
It seemed that only the pain of a sharp blade cutting through his flesh could ease the pain in his heart.
But when he saw the blood constantly flowing and thought of that person, he came to his senses again.
Later, he gradually got better and stopped self-harming.
He kept all these things in his heart, and even Liang'er, who was closest to him, had never discovered them.
After Qing'er finished speaking, she turned sideways and was about to quickly leave the woman's side.
"I wonder if Master Qing'er has heard about the sudden death in the county jail yesterday?" Zhuang Rongjun paused before continuing, "I did it."
Qing'er suddenly stopped.
…
The teahouse still did not entertain other guests today, and the lobby looked empty.
There were only two people inside, sitting opposite each other.
Qing'er followed the woman to the teahouse for some unknown reason. Only when he sat down did he realize that he felt a little regretful. However, he wanted to know the truth, and perhaps he realized that the woman had no ill will towards him.
"Is what Miss Zhuang said true?" Qing'er asked directly to the point. What she was asking about was naturally what Zhuang Rongjun had just said on the street, about the sudden illness of several people in the yamen prison.
After she finished speaking, the woman nodded, her expression calm and without a trace of falsehood. "Yes, I had them do it. If my friends were here, they wouldn't have died so easily. They would have been hacked into pieces."
Qing'er's hand tightened slightly, grasping the words in her words: "Your friend? Why? Miss Zhuang, can you tell me in more detail? Why did you help me? And why did you involve your friend?"
Zhuang Rongjun glanced at him and did not answer immediately. Instead, he asked, "Before I answer, I want to ask you a question. Do you know Qin Zichu?"
When Qing'er heard the name "Qin Zichu", for some reason, her heart trembled, but it was only for a moment, so fast that it was almost impossible to catch.
