Chapter 299 The boy is as bright as the moonlight

Just as she finished speaking, she hurriedly added, "Last time, Master Bai's mother, the county magistrate, caught the thief, so my father's jade pendant was recovered. I am very grateful to them."

Zhang Xiuyuan had something to do later and had originally planned to let others send him to Bai Mansion. Now that Qin Shu took the initiative to say that he would go, he certainly would not refuse.

"Sure." Zhang Xiuyuan said readily.

Qin Shu's eyes lit up, and he immediately picked up the snack box with both hands, holding it tightly, as if he was afraid that if he was slow, Zhang Xiuyuan would take back his words.

Zhang Xiuyuan: "It's just..."

Qin Shu's heart was lifted again, and her eyes were filled with a pitiful look that even she herself could not see.

"But... why is your face red?" Zhang Xiuyuan finally asked his question.

Qin Shu exclaimed "Ah" and realized belatedly that it was no wonder that she felt her face was so hot, it turned out that she was blushing.

"Xiaoshu, do you have a fever? Are you not feeling well?" To Zhang Xiuyuan, the fifteen-year-old Qin Shu was like a younger brother. She left her hometown alone with her sick father. Zhang Xiuyuan always hoped to take more care of her.

"No, I don't have a fever." Qin Shu stammered, trying to find an excuse for himself, "I was just busy just now, and I feel a little hot."

As she spoke, she thought of that handsome and elegant figure again, and her face felt even hotter, so she quickly lowered her head.

Zhang Xiuyuan let her leave only after he was sure that she was really okay.

After leaving Yipinzhai, Qin Shu secretly breathed a sigh of relief. She was glad that the person she had just been with was Brother Xiuyuan. If it was Sister Chuchu...

Qin Shu shuddered. Sister Chuchu was not only powerful in fighting, but also had a pair of eyes that could see through people very sharply. He couldn't afford to offend her.

Qin Shu clenched the food box in his hand, feeling full of energy, and gathered his heart as if he was about to fly.

-

Because of Zhang Xiuyuan's instructions, Qin Shu went through a side door, and there happened to be a servant guarding the door.

"Hello, I'm Qin Shu from Yipinzhai. Mr. Zhang Xiuyuan asked me to deliver food to Young Master Bai."

The servant looked at her and immediately became friendly when he heard the names "Yipinzhai" and "Zhang Xiuyuan".

"So these are the dishes that Yuan Fulang wants to send to the young master. Wait a minute, I'll ask someone to call the young master." Usually, when Zhang Xiuyuan sent the dishes, Bai Chu would come to the side door in person to get them.

"Okay, okay."

When Qin Shu was on the road, he was still worried about whether he could see the boy, but he didn't expect that he would actually see him.

Thinking that he would see that figure soon, Qin Shu took a deep breath and patted his cheeks to cool down the burning temperature on his face.

I hypnotized myself in my heart: Don’t blush, stay calm.

After a while, a figure was seen walking towards the mansion.

The young man was dressed in a crescent-shaped white shirt, spotless, with facial features like beautiful jade, meticulously carved, and an elegant temperament, as bright and beautiful as the moonlight in the sky.

Qin Shu's heart was beating violently as if it had been hit by a deer.

The wind stopped, the trees were still, and everything around seemed to have quieted down. The young man seemed to be coming on the breeze and the bright moon. The immortal-like person suddenly fell into the mortal world, making people unable to help but stop and watch.

"Xiaoshu, it's really you!" The young man spoke, his voice a little childish, but as clear as the gurgling snow water melting in spring, and it was clean and beautiful in its coldness.

"Xiaoshu?" The young man waved his hand and called again.

Qin Shu blinked a few times quickly and came back to his senses.
