Chapter 160 Ambush on the Road

Leng Yu and the other two rode at full speed on the official road heading to the capital.

When they passed a woods, the horse suddenly neighed, and then a group of men in black rushed out from all corners, blocking their way.

Seeing this scene, a faint smile appeared on the corner of his cold lips, and he said to the two people beside him:

"It seems that more than one group of people are thinking about your prince."

Xiao Lingzi looked solemn as he looked at the approaching man in black and said in a cold voice:

"Your Highness, please go ahead for a while. The twins and I will hold them."

"Oh!"

The moment Leng Yu raised his eyebrows slightly, he sneered and said disdainfully:

"Do you think these people can stop us? They are just a bunch of good-for-nothings."

The little twins also nodded with a cold expression. At the moment when the long sword in his hand was unsheathed, a sinister smile appeared at the corner of his mouth, and then he chuckled and nodded.

"Your Highness's words make sense. Judging from the movements and footwork of these people, their martial arts skills are not as good as those who went to Ningluo City. I guess their master is also a drunkard!"

Leng Yu looked at the man in black opposite him, his eyes sharp and cold, and squeezed out a word from between his teeth, "Kill!"

After receiving the order, Xiao Lingzi and Xiao Shuangzi rushed out and fought with the men in black. Leng Yu sat on the horse and watched quietly.

He didn't need to do anything to deal with these little caterpillar assassins.

Sure enough, after a while, those men in black were knocked to the ground. Some were dead, some were seriously injured, and some were wailing constantly.

A gust of cold wind blew by, and Xiao Lingzi came up to him and asked with a hint of arrogance in his voice:

"My Lord, kill them all?"

Leng Yu waved his hand. Although there was a gloomy and ruthless look in his eyes, he didn't want to waste time on these people.

"Let's go!"

Leaving these words behind, he tightened the reins of his horse, rode forward with an empty look in his eyes, and rode away, with Xiao Lingzi and Xiao Shuangzi following closely behind.

The horses were on their way to the capital again. The journey that normally took half a month was completed in just ten days. During this time, they also took care of several groups of assassins.

The little twins kept joking all the way, saying that the current assassin level was so poor that he could kill three people with just his little finger.

After returning to the capital, he did not enter the palace, but went straight to Prince Yu's Mansion. He must do what Lan'er asked him to do first. As for the emperor, it depends on his mood.

When he arrived at Prince Yu's Mansion, he was instantly angered by the scene before him. The gate of Prince Yu's Mansion was guarded by palace guards, and it seemed that no one could come in or out. It seemed that the people inside were under house arrest.

He came to the door with a dark face. The guard at the door did not recognize Prince Yu, so he raised his hand to stop him:

"Where are you from? You can't go in."

"Why?"

As he listened to the guard's words, he felt the blood rushing to his forehead, but he still tried hard to control his emotions. After all, this was at his doorstep and he didn't want to use force here. These people didn't recognize him, so he could tell them.

But the officer guarding the gate of Prince Yu's mansion looked him up and down with contempt, and suddenly waved the sword in his hand and roared in displeasure:

"There are prisoners imprisoned here. The emperor has issued an order. No one is allowed to enter or leave without his permission. What are you doing in there? Do you want to accompany these prisoners? Hurry and leave. Don't waste time here."

Hearing this, Leng Yu glared at the man with squinting eyes, clenched his fists, and looked at the man with gritted teeth, questioning him word by word.

"Are you going to give in or not?"

"No."

The man didn't hesitate and stared back at him directly and decisively.

Seeing Leng Yu was angry, Xiao Lingzi took two steps forward and yelled at the gatekeepers.

"You're blind! This is Prince Yu, the true master of Prince Yu's Mansion. Why aren't you letting him in? Do you guys really want to die?"

Hearing this, the gatekeepers were stunned for a moment, and then they were a little undecided. They had never seen Prince Yu, so the man who was just arrogant softened his tone a little and said to them:

"Wait a minute, I'll go inform the emperor."

"No need."

Leng Yu raised her hand to interrupt him. "I want to go back to my own home. I don't need the emperor's permission. Will you let me go?"

He didn't want to endure it anymore. Whenever the emperor was mentioned, he would get furious. He could tolerate other things, but he couldn't tolerate the fact that he wanted to send someone to assassinate Luo Lan.

But the man still stubbornly puffed out his chest and replied:

"Without the Emperor's order, we cannot give in."

Leng Yu was extremely angry. He suddenly punched the person who had just yelled at him in the face. The person immediately took a few steps back and fell to the ground, covering his face.

Seeing this, the other guards also rushed over. Xiao Lingzi and Xiao Shuangzi started fighting with these people without saying a word. The scene became chaotic for a while, and soon these guards were knocked to the ground.

Leng Yu stepped on the person who had just spoken to him with one foot, gritted his teeth, and squeezed out a few words from between his teeth.

"This is Prince Yu's Mansion. The people living here are not prisoners. You have no right to lock them up."

As soon as he finished speaking, he kicked the man hard, stepped over him, and strode into Prince Yu's Mansion.

Standing in the yard, looking at the familiar place, his eyes actually became a little red.

The Prince Yu's Mansion was unusually quiet. He called out twice softly.

"Xiaozhi...Dazhi, are you there?"

After a while, several doors were opened and several people's heads tentatively poked out.
