Leng Xi went straight back to the capital the next morning. It took him five days to go back and forth. During these five days, Concubine Li sent people everywhere to look for him like crazy. The people she sent to assassinate Long Xiaomin arrived in the capital before Leng Xi.
He came before Concubine Li in eunuch's clothes, clasped his fists and saluted, saying:
