Humph, it seems he's trying to scare me. He probably doesn't know he's even killed people before, so how could he be afraid of such a scene? This is just a family where someone died, and they believed in some Taoist priest's words, so they're performing a ritual here in the middle of the night.
What's so scary about something like this? It's just that on this dark and windy night, seeing such a scene is a bit creepy.
But since this guy wants to teach her a lesson, why not take the opportunity to cooperate with him.
Thinking of this, her eyes suddenly widened, her gaze became empty, her arms stretched out, and she jumped towards Leng Ming.
This scene made Leng Ming break out in a cold sweat. He took off the mask on his face and said hurriedly:
"Xina, it's me, Leng Ming, don't be afraid..."
But Sina seemed to not understand what he said at all. She continued to jump towards him, muttering in an old and gloomy voice,
"I died such a miserable death! Ah... give me back my life... Come, give me back my life..."
The scene in front of him scared Leng Ming so much that his lips were trembling. Could it be that Sina was possessed by a ghost?
He looked up at the ritual still going on not far away, and felt a cold wind whistling on his back.
"You...you...don't...don't come over..."
Sina was possessed by a zombie, which was a very scary thing. He suddenly sat on the horse at a loss.
However, Sina didn't listen to him at all and didn't stop. Seeing this, Leng Ming was about to turn the reins of his horse and run away, but Sina rushed over and grabbed his feet without saying anything, pulling him off the horse when he was completely unprepared.
Leng Ming fell to the ground. He looked at Xina in horror, his lips trembling as he shook his head and said:
"This...this, this, I...I, you...you...you...don't come over here, don't come over here."
Sina was determined to scare him so that he wouldn't dare to lie to her again, so she pulled up his collar, made him stand up, and pressed him against a tree, questioning him.
"Why...why do you want to hurt people?"
"I...I didn't. I didn't hurt anyone."
"You... lied to me. Why would you... lie to this poor woman in front of you? Even a ghost like me can't stand it."
"I didn't... I didn't mean to do that. I was wrong..."
"Where...did you go wrong?"
Leng Ming leaned against a tree, closed his eyes, shook his head vigorously, and kept muttering to himself,
"I was wrong. I shouldn't have tricked her into coming outside the city to see the will-o'-the-wisp fires. I shouldn't have just thought about revenge on her. I shouldn't have worn a mask to scare her. I'm a grown man, I shouldn't have bullied a woman. I was wrong, I was wrong..."
Leng Ming admitted his mistake while nodding his head like pounding garlic. It was really funny to see him like that. If she continued, he would be scared to the point of peeing his pants, and he would be embarrassed then.
Thinking of this, Xena loosened her hand, winked cunningly, crossed her arms, and looked at him with a smirk on her face.
The place suddenly became quiet. Leng Ming, feeling something strange, suddenly opened his eyes and met Sina's handsome and beautiful eyes.
He looked at her in horror and asked hurriedly:
"You? Who are you?"
"I'm Xena."
Sina playfully winked at him and asked in confusion:
"What's wrong with you? You look scared? And you're sweating all over. Are you scared by those will-o'-the-wisp fires?"
Leng Ming ignored her sarcasm and looked up at the will-o'-the-wisp not far away. Suddenly, he felt his whole body trembling. He suddenly grabbed Sina's hand and murmured, "Run..."
Before Xena could react, he pulled her and ran in the woods, stumbling and falling.
He didn't even have time to ride his horse, or rather, he was so frightened that he forgot he was riding a horse.
When the two of them ran to an empty official road, Leng Ming stopped, bent over, leaned his hands on his knees, and breathed heavily.
Sina suppressed her laughter, tilted her head and looked at him, and asked in surprise:
"What's wrong with you? Didn't you take me to see the Lantern Festival? Where is it? Why don't I see anything?"
She saw nothing?
Leng Ming frowned and looked up at her, "You didn't see anything?"
"No, why are you running with me all the time? Where is our horse?"
this……
Leng Ming suddenly felt a chill on his spine. He looked at her with disbelief and asked suspiciously,
"What did you do just now? Did you feel like you saw something? Or... did you see someone performing a ritual over there? Are there any will-o'-the-wisp lights?"
Sina looked in the direction of his finger, then shook her head vigorously, pretending not to understand.
"I only remember that I rode forward, and then... then you took me running towards this side. What happened in between? Why don't I remember it?"
Seeing that she spoke so clearly, Leng Ming became even more convinced that she must be possessed by a ghost.
He tried hard to calm himself down, swallowed his saliva continuously, and recalled what had just happened. His body shook unconsciously again.
"What's wrong with you? What just happened?"
Seeing him trembling with fear, Sina laughed to herself, "You're afraid of something too? A grown man, how dare you be so timid?"
Leng Ming looked at her with a sullen expression, heaved a long sigh, and waved his hands vigorously.
"I'm not scared, I just think this is too weird, you know? You were possessed by a ghost just now, you were like a zombie, jumping around in front of me..."
Speaking of this, Leng Ming seemed to think of Sina's appearance just now, and shuddered again.
"is that so?"
Sina once again assumed the same posture she had used to scare him, stretched out her arms, and jumped towards him.
Leng Ming stared at her with eyes wide open in astonishment, pointing at her with trembling hands, "You...you..."
Seeing him terrified again, Xena suddenly grinned.
"Hahahaha...you're trying to steal the chicken but end up losing the rice? You're trying to scare me? You're still too naive."
She blinked cunningly at him, smiled evilly at him a few times, and mocked him again:
"Hahahaha... the way you looked just now was just... just so... so funny. I almost... almost peed my pants when I saw you. Hahaha..."
Her laughter made Leng Ming stunned for a moment. After a while, he blinked at her a few times as if he had thought of something, pointed at his nose and asked with gritted teeth:
"Xina, so you were pretending? Did you deliberately scare me?"
Sina put her hands on her hips, snorted with disdain:
"I'm just giving him a taste of his own medicine. You tried to scare me first, and I tried to scare you later. Who would have thought you'd be so timid and scared into this state?"
Were you fooled by this woman?
