Extra 5: The Fish Girl

The middle-aged man saw this and immediately regretted it.

"Since she doesn't want it, just sell it to me at the original price and give me the remaining money."

Hearing this, Luo Lan opened his mouth in shock, and the fish girl became unhappy instantly.

She cleaned up the fish neatly, then picked up the silver ingot and put it into the middle-aged man's hand.

"Master, your silver is too big, I can't make the change at this stall, please go back."

As she spoke, she stuffed the fish rope into Luo Lan's hand.

"Girl, I'll give you this fish."

Hearing this, the middle-aged man's face turned green with anger. Ah Cai rolled her eyes at him smugly, then took the fish from Luo Lan's hand. The middle-aged man shook his sleeves and walked away angrily.

Luo Lan hurriedly signaled A Cai to take the silver. The fishmongering girl was packing up her stall while waving her hands.

"I said it was a gift, and I can't stand people who are rich but stingy. I won't accept the money. If you like eating fish, please come and patronize us more often in the future."

Luo Lan suddenly had a better impression of this straightforward girl.

"Well, thank you, young lady."

"You're welcome. Business is good today, so I'm closing up shop."

As she spoke, the girl stuffed the fishing net into the backpack, then carried the basket with great effort and walked towards the city.

A Cai carried the fish and followed Luo Lan happily. After they strolled on the street for a while, they headed towards St. Ann's Pharmacy.

As soon as they arrived at the door of the pharmacy, Ah Cai pointed at the door and shouted:

"Madam, look, isn't that the girl's backpack? Why is it here?"

Luo Lan looked carefully and saw that what was placed at the door of St. Ann's Church was indeed the girl's backpack.

Could it be that the girl had come to buy medicine? She and Ah Cai exchanged a glance and prepared to walk towards St. Ann's Church. At this moment, the girl came out in a sullen manner. She sat directly on the steps, her hands on her knees, and began to cry.

This scene surprised Luo Lan so much that she ran over quickly.

"Girl, what's wrong with you?"

The girl looked up and when she saw her, she immediately shook her head.

"Madam, what a coincidence?"

"What's wrong with you? Why are you sitting here crying?"

"I……"

Before the girl could finish her words, tears started to flow again.

Luo Lan glanced at the sign of Saint Ann's Pharmacy and asked unhappily:

"Did the people at the drug store bully you?"

The girl shook her head hurriedly.

"No, I want to buy medicine for my grandfather, but...but they won't sell it to me."
