St. Ann's Pharmacy
Near noon, Chun'er rushed in like crazy and searched around the house. Lele came forward and asked in confusion:
'Hey, what are you looking for?'
"Where's Brother Huaiyu?"
"Out, what's wrong?"
"I came to tell him that Mr. Huang and his parents are at my house. They have already chosen a date for the wedding. If he doesn't go now, he will have no chance."
Lele shrugged helplessly.

Huaiyu returned to the Saint Ann Pharmacy near dusk. As soon as he entered the shop, Lele asked in confusion:

Huaiyu grabbed the water cup on the table and drank a few gulps of water before speaking:
"The fishmonger's grandfather died, and my mother left me there to help her take care of her grandfather's funeral. I didn't see the carriage on my way back, so I walked back, which is why I'm late."
"Ah? Her grandfather just passed away. She's home alone. Won't she be scared at night?"
Lele's words reminded Huaiyu. He slapped his forehead and said as if he had suddenly realized something:

"You should go see her, or at least keep her company. She has no relatives, her grandfather is dead, and she has no one around her. It's late at night, and she's a girl, it would be strange if she isn't scared."
Listening to Lele's words, Huaiyu drank another sip of water and said to Lele:
"Then go back and tell mother that I'm going to accompany the girl. Maybe I won't be back at night. I'll come directly to the pharmacy tomorrow morning."
Lele waved his hands directly,
"Got it. Let's go! Remember to ride a horse."
Huaiyu waved her hand behind her back and ran away quickly.
Looking at Huaiyu's leaving back, Lele smiled. The reason why he wanted Huaiyu to accompany Ruan Feifei was to divert his attention.
Since Bai Lan doesn't want to marry her, the fishmongering girl is also a good choice.
When Huaiyu arrived at Ruan Feifei's house on horseback, the yard was pitch black.
Is she not at home?
It’s so late, where can she go?
He tied his horse to the wooden post at the door and went straight in.

As he spoke, he walked straight into the room, came to the table, lit the oil lamp on the table, then pulled Ruan Feifei over and pressed her onto the bed.
"You go to sleep, I'll be here watching."
"Brother Huaiyu, this is inappropriate..."
"It's okay. You've been tired all day and must be sleepy. Go to bed early."
Only after Ruan Feifei lay down on the bed with her clothes on did Huaiyu come and sit down at the table.
"Brother Huaiyu, didn't you go home? Why are you coming back again?"

"It's all my fault. I knew you would be scared, but I still left you here alone. Luckily I came, otherwise you would have been scared to tears tonight, right?"
Hearing him say this, Ruan Feifei suddenly burst into tears.
"Brother Huaiyu, thank you. I was really scared to death just now. I just stayed in bed and didn't dare to move. I missed grandpa. If he were here, I wouldn't be scared."
When she said this, she started to sob.
Huaiyu was at a loss for words. He hurried to the bedside and comforted her softly.
"Don't cry, I'm here, you don't have to be afraid, don't cry..."

Huaiyu looked at her helplessly.
"No one is scared to death. They scare themselves. Okay, go to sleep. I'm going to go out for a walk..."
"Brother Huaiyu, don't leave. I'm scared."
Her voice was as thin as a mosquito and trembling, Huaiyu could only nod.
"Okay, then you go to sleep first, I'll stay here with you."
