Su Ziqing showed him the information, "Back then, this car had problems and was recalled worldwide."
Gong Chengjue looked at it. "So?"
"If the product was involved in a global recall, why did Su Tianhao instruct that reporter to deliberately 'omit' the brake issue?" Su Ziqing looked at him, her brows furrowed slightly.
"This directly shows that he has something to hide. Look at the time." Gong Chengjue carefully noticed the difference in time, "The car company's global recall was half a month later than the time of the accident."
Su Ziqing checked the time, "Indeed..."
"So, Su Tianhao has something to hide." He kissed her forehead. "Let's test him when we meet today."
"Go see him today?" She hadn't thought about seeing Su Tianhao today, but she wanted to see Su Tianming instead.
“Even if you don’t go to see him, he will still come looking for you.” As soon as he finished speaking, Su Ziqing’s phone rang. Sure enough, it was Su Tianhao calling.
Su Ziqing answered the phone, "Hello."
"Ziqing, you're back in City A. Are you coming to the company today? There's a project I'd like to hear your opinion on."
Su Ziqing and Gong Chengjue exchanged a glance and agreed, "Okay, I'll go to the company later."
Su Ziqing felt that Gong Chengjue was incredibly accurate in his predictions. If she didn't know him well, she would have thought that he had arranged all of this.
Making him your enemy would be terrifying, wouldn't it? He can predict everything and is just waiting for you to fall into his trap.
She looked at him and couldn't help but pat her chest.
Gong Chengjue was amused by her action. "What's wrong?"
She honestly confessed, "You're terrifying! How could you predict everything?"
"It's not that I can predict everything, but I've met a lot of people, so I can guess some of their thoughts." Gong Chengjue patted her head. "Go and prepare."
"Um."
She also wanted to hear Su Tianhao's attitude.
"I have something to do, so I won't go with you," Gong Chengjue said to Su Ziqing after she finished washing up.
Su Ziqing hummed in agreement. "Okay, but what are you busy with?"
"I have two phone calls to make, three emails to reply to, and a video conference to attend..." Gong Chengjue counted.
Su Ziqing felt a pang of heartache upon hearing this, "So, do you want to go to the capital now?"
Gong Chengjue shook his head. "We'll talk about it when you get back." He raised his hand to look at his watch. "There's still time."
Su Ziqing nodded, picked up her bag, and went out.
"I'll have Jinhan take you there."
"Hmm." Since he was at home anyway, Su Ziqing didn't think much of it.
……………………
Luo Jinhan escorted Su Ziqing to the Su family's estate. He hesitated for a long time along the way, wanting to say something but holding back.
Su Ziqing noticed but didn't ask him directly. She just didn't know what he was hesitating about, whether it was related to Gong Chengjue.
When the car arrived at the Su family's building, Luo Jinhan got out and opened the car door for Su Ziqing, finally speaking, "Miss Su."
Su Ziqing looked at him, a hint of teasing amusement in her eyes, "Assistant Luo, just say what you want to say. I can tell you've been holding back all this way."
“Ms. Su, tonight’s charity gala is very important to Mr. Gong. Please persuade him to attend.”
Luo Jinhan felt that only Su Ziqing could persuade Gong Chengjue; nothing anyone else said would make a difference.
Su Ziqing nodded. "I will go back to the capital with him." She had already made up her mind on the way here.
No matter what happens here, I need to get back to the capital by noon, even if I have to fly back tomorrow.
"Go book the tickets," Su Ziqing said.
Hearing Su Ziqing's words, Luo Jinhan finally breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank you, Miss Su."
Su Ziqing smiled and said, "No need to thank me. I know how important this matter is." She was well aware of what tonight's banquet meant.
"Then I'll go book the plane tickets now."
"Okay." Su Ziqing walked towards the company building.
Su Tianhao was already at the company. When Su Ziqing arrived, the secretary said he was in a meeting, so Su Ziqing went to his office to wait.
The office is now completely free of any trace of the old man's existence; everything has been decorated in the style that Su Tianhao likes.
Su Ziqing sat on the sofa and casually flipped through a magazine.
"Ms. Su, your coffee." The secretary brought in the coffee.
Su Ziqing gestured for her to put it down, but the secretary showed no intention of leaving and continued to talk to her, "Ms. Su, you haven't been back to the company for quite some time."
Su Ziqing glanced at her. When did a secretary become so talkative?
The secretary felt a little embarrassed by Su Ziqing's gaze. "Ms. Su, I used to work under Secretary Tian."
When Secretary Tian was mentioned, Su Ziqing understood somewhat, and her attitude softened.
“Miss Su, Secretary Tian has always been very supportive of his subordinates. I have learned a lot from working with Secretary Tian.” Seeing that Su Ziqing’s attitude was quite good, the secretary boldly made his request.
"I'd like to be transferred to the Beijing branch, is that possible?"
Su Ziqing found this question rather strange. "You want to be transferred to a branch office?" Most people prefer to work at the head office. How many people would want to work at a branch office?
“Yes, my boyfriend and I have been in a long-distance relationship for three years; he’s in Beijing.” The secretary looked at Su Ziqing. “Ms. Su, I…”
"If you want a transfer, you should apply to HR." What should I say to her?
The secretary was taken aback. Wasn't Su Ziqing supposed to be easy to talk to?
Su Ziqing looked at her, "Or is it that the company doesn't have any policy on transferring you?"
"No..." The secretary swallowed the words she was about to say.
Su Ziqing found this secretary rather strange. Yes, she treated Secretary Tian differently because Secretary Tian used to be her grandfather's secretary.
Moreover, Secretary Tian was being suppressed at the head office, and the branch office also needed staff, so she transferred Secretary Tian to Beijing.
But that doesn't mean she's going to poach the people who used to work under the old man; she's not just doing this for fun.
Su Tianhao had just finished his meeting and walked into his office.
Seeing his secretary there, he didn't think much of it and simply said, "Make me a cup of coffee."
"Yes." The secretary nodded and then left the office.
Su Ziqing noticed something strange about Su Tianhao out of the corner of her eye; he kept staring at the secretary's buttocks.
Su Ziqing unconsciously narrowed her eyes.
He coughed lightly, "Second Uncle."
Su Tianhao naturally turned his gaze to Su Ziqing, his expression quite natural. "Ziqing, wait a moment, let me have a cup of coffee to refresh myself before we talk."
He thought too much last night and barely managed to get some sleep until dawn. By then, he was completely exhausted.
As you get older, you can't deny it.
