Chapter 165 What Makes Her Solely Qualifying?

"Yes." She knew.

Su Xiaoman, on the other hand, has been working to make this situation worse.

Originally, she wanted to watch how things developed, but the detective provided the final evidence, leaving Su Ziqing with neither the time nor the inclination to watch.

Knowing full well that Su Xiaoman had set a trap, wanting to see her fight with Su Tianhao, she still chose to jump into it.

There was no choice.

Su Ziqing rubbed her temples wearily. "You should go back first."

"yes."

……………………

Su Tianhao's family is pulling strings on his behalf; no matter what, they want to get him out of there first.

Knowing that Su Ziqing had returned to City A, people kept calling her early in the morning.

If it hadn't been muted, Su Ziqing felt she wouldn't have been able to sleep until now.

Ignoring calls from Su Tianhao's family, she scrolled down and saw a call from Su Xiaoman.

The time was ten minutes ago.

Su Ziqing glanced at the time on her phone; it was only eight o'clock.

She gave a soft chuckle, but instead called Su Xiaoman back.

There was a long silence on the other end of the phone, but you could still hear breathing, so the call was connected.

They seemed to be waiting for the other to speak first, testing each other's patience.

Su Ziqing may not have much else, but she has plenty of patience. Now that she has called back, she will wait for Su Xiaoman to speak and see what Su Xiaoman can say.

Su Xiaoman finally couldn't hold back any longer and spoke up, "Su Ziqing."

Su Ziqing hummed in agreement. "Is there something you need?" Her tone was indifferent, yet it was impossible to tell whether she wanted to say something or not.

Su Xiaoman felt that the gap between her and Su Ziqing was widening, and she was a little angry, but there was nothing she could do about it.

However, she is no longer the Su Xiaoman she used to be!

Yes, that's what she thinks.

"Let's meet." She deliberately raised her voice slightly, even adding a touch of arrogance, as if she were something special.

"Oh, not interested," Su Ziqing replied casually.

“You…” Su Xiaoman did not expect that Su Ziqing would refuse without even thinking. She even called back. It was impossible for her to be as indifferent as she appeared on the surface.

“Su Ziqing, I think we can talk,” Su Xiaoman said. “What do you think about the development of the Su Group?”

Why didn't you lower your tone earlier?

Su Ziqing chuckled softly, "Time and place."

………………………

Su Ziqing hadn't had morning tea in a long time; she remembered the last time she did was when she was with her grandfather.

Cantonese and Hong Kong-style morning tea is a culture, not just about drinking tea. It involves a variety of exquisite dim sum, and then ordering a pot of tea, such as Pu'er, chrysanthemum, or Tieguanyin, depending on the customer's preference.

The teahouse was bustling with people. The teahouse that Su Xiaoman chose was Jumanlou, the most historic teahouse in City A, and also the teahouse that her late grandfather loved to visit.

Su Ziqing parked her car outside, looking at the antique-style decorations at the entrance, and felt a pang of emotion, realizing that things had changed.

"Miss Su, this way please." The manager of Jumanlou knew the Su family and went to greet Su Ziqing as soon as he saw her.

Su Ziqing was wearing sunglasses and a knee-length dress. The weather had suddenly started to get warmer; summer was almost here…

Su Ziqing walked up the stairs in her high heels, surrounded by the familiar liveliness and atmosphere, and calmly made her way to the private room.

Su Xiaoman really knows how to pick a room, because this is the room that Grandpa Su often sat in when he came to Jumanlou.

The door to the private room opened, and Su Xiaoman was sitting in that spot, the spot her grandfather used to love sitting in.

Su Ziqing frowned slightly. She didn't believe it was all a coincidence.

From the location, the private room, to the seat Su Xiaoman is currently sitting, everything is conveying a certain attitude.

What, does Su Xiaoman want to take Grandpa's seat? Is she subtly expressing her ambition?

It's unbelievable that this rich heiress, who only knows how to spend money and have fun, has suddenly become so career-minded.

Su Xiaoman already had two or three desserts in front of her, including her favorite Portuguese egg tarts and golden cakes...

Oh, and there's also the mochi that Su Ziqing likes to eat.

"I arrived first and ordered first. Do you want to order anything else?" Su Xiaoman handed the menu to Su Ziqing.

Without even glancing at it, Su Ziqing casually said to the manager beside her, "One basket of chicken feet, and a bowl of boat congee."

"Okay." The manager left, closing the door to the private room and shutting out the noise from outside.

Su Ziqing took off her sunglasses and sat opposite Su Xiaoman.

This is the furthest distance between the dining tables.

Su Xiaoman looked around. "When I was little, my grandfather always liked to invite the whole family out for morning tea."

Su Ziqing remained expressionless, showing no intention of responding.

Su Xiaoman chuckled softly, "Now, our Su family is almost falling apart, no, I should say, it's already fallen apart."

Su Ziqing felt a little hungry, so she turned the plate in front of her and picked up a Portuguese egg tart to eat.

Su Xiaoman was a little surprised, "Don't you not eat Portuguese egg tarts?"

Su Ziqing raised an eyebrow, "When did I say I don't eat Portuguese egg tarts?"

"But when the family goes out for morning tea, you never touch Portuguese egg tarts." Su Xiaoman frowned. Her memory was correct; as far as she could recall, Su Ziqing had never touched Portuguese egg tarts when she went out to eat with her family.

"Then what do you remember me eating when I came out with you?" Ha, she was just too lazy to show her preferences in front of them.

And Portuguese egg tarts...

This is Su Xiaoman's favorite dessert. She would never reveal that she also likes it, because needless to say, Su Xiaoman will always keep her favorite food out of reach of others.

Su Xiaoman frowned. What did Su Ziqing like to eat? It seemed she didn't like anything, and mostly just wanted to chat with her grandfather.

"You're really cunning," Su Xiaoman said with a light chuckle.

Su Ziqing had already eaten one Portuguese egg tart and her appetite was whetted, so she wanted to eat a second one. However, Su Xiaoman pressed down on the plate, preventing her from turning it.

Su Ziqing used a little force to turn the tray and took out a Portuguese tart. "I want to eat it, do you think you can stop me?"

Su Xiaoman looked at her, "You've been pretending for so long, why not pretend for even longer?"

"Because it's unnecessary now." Su Ziqing took a satisfied bite of her Portuguese tart and then wiped her hands.

They were talking about food, but their words both implied a second meaning.

Su Ziqing smiled at Su Xiaoman, "Look at you now, aren't you quite capable of going out now?" But the smile was sarcastic, making Su Xiaoman feel extremely annoyed.

She was somewhat embarrassed and angry, "You're the same! Who's more noble than whom?!"

They all sell out what they can for their own purposes!

What right does she have to laugh?
