Chapter 18 You, you let go

“From now on, you should stay away from the Su family.” Ou Yingxian looked at his wife.

"I just made an appointment with Xiaoman's mother to go to Hong Kong next week..." Mrs. Ou swallowed her words, "Then the engagement... are you really planning to break it off?"

"Old Master Su just passed away, how did the Su family handle things? What kind of marriage alliance is this?" Ou Yingxian said before turning and leaving.

Mrs. Ou looked at Ou Shang, "Shang Shang?"

“Mommy, Daddy is right.” Auchan nodded emphatically.

Su Ziqing was half asleep in the middle of the night when the phone kept ringing. With her eyes still closed, she reached under her pillow for her phone and said, "Hello."

"Miss Su, Mr. Gong has a high fever." It was Luo Jinhan's anxious voice coming from the other end of the phone.

"Didn't Dr. Qin prescribe some medicine?" Su Ziqing opened her eyes, her head aching a little.

"Miss Su, please come over here."

Su Ziqing wanted to refuse, but Luo Jinhan said again, "Mr. Gong said he wants you to come over."

Su Ziqing: "...Okay."

……………………

Luo Jinhan put down his phone and looked at Gong Chengjue, who was leaning against the headboard. "Miss Su said yes."

Gong Chengjue hummed in agreement.

"Mr. Gong, shall you take your medicine first?" Although it was a low-grade fever, it was a real fever.

"Luo Jinhan".

"Yes, Mr. Gong."

"I think you're a bit stupid." Gong Chengjue's eyes were full of disdain. "Go back to sleep."

Luo Jinhan: "..." Is she implying that he's in the way?

For work convenience, Luo Jinhan lived downstairs, so it wouldn't be a big deal if he rolled over now.

"Yes, Mr. Gong."

Not long after Luo Jinhan left, Su Ziqing arrived and rang the doorbell.

Gong Chengjue was wearing a bathrobe, half-open at the chest, his hair slightly disheveled, and his eyes were a little blurry due to a low fever. He opened the door and looked at Su Ziqing who had rushed over.

"Where's Luo Jinhan?" Why is it him who opened the door?

"I told him to go home and rest; he has other work to do tomorrow." Gong Chengjue raised a hand to his forehead. "Is it cold outside?"

Of course she's cold! If she knew she was cold, why would she have Luo Jinhan notify her and ask her to come over?!

"Have you taken your temperature? What's your fever level? Do you need any medication? Should we call Dr. Qin to come over right now?" Su Ziqing asked as she went in and closed the door.

Gong Chengjue suddenly pushed her against the door, using his hand to brace himself against it, "I haven't measured it, feel it yourself."

Su Ziqing: "..." She looked up at him.

"Touch it," he said earnestly.

What are you touching? Who wants to touch him?

Su Ziqing tried to push him away, but her hand accidentally touched his chest.

A slightly burning sensation came from her fingertips, and Su Ziqing frowned. "She has a fever."

Gong Chengjue hummed in agreement. "How many degrees?"

"A low-grade fever, probably around 38 degrees Celsius." She wasn't entirely sure.

“I think it’s more than that.” Gong Chengjue looked at her, at her slightly reddened, full earlobes, and suddenly leaned closer gently…

Su Ziqing suddenly felt that he had magnified in front of her, and before she could argue, he started sucking and chewing on her... earlobe like a vampire.

She stood there frozen, not daring to move.

If everyone has a vulnerable and sensitive spot, then this earlobe is definitely Su Ziqing's Achilles' heel.

Her eyes widened, her fists clenched. "Gong Chengjue, what are you doing!"

Gong Chengjue noticed her unusual behavior and reached out to brush away the stray hairs from her face. "Are you scared?"

"I'm afraid of your head." She wasn't afraid at all; she just felt disgusted!

She pushed her head away, saying, "I'll go get your medicine."

However, she had only taken two steps when he grabbed her wrist and easily pulled her into his arms. He held her captive, showing no intention of letting go.

"Gong Chengjue, let me go!"

"Su Ziqing, from now on, you can only like me." His domineering voice came from above her head, and Su Ziqing felt as if his small shoulders were about to be crushed by him.

What the heck? Why did he suddenly say that out of the blue?

"Within the deadline!" he added.

Su Ziqing realized that he meant that even when acting, one should be serious and not let others notice anything?

"Oh," she replied casually.

Gong Chengjue released her hand and turned to walk into the room.

Su Ziqing found the medicine Qin Yuheng had prescribed earlier, then poured some hot water and went to the room, only to find Gong Chengjue lying face down on the pillow like a child, seemingly asleep.

"Gong Chengjue?" It's only been less than two minutes. Could he have really fallen asleep?

No response.

"Gong Chengjue? Get up, take your medicine, and then go back to sleep." She put the water glass aside and gently shook him.

Gong Chengjue suddenly opened his eyes, his deep gaze fixed on her.

Su Ziqing was stunned for a moment, "Take your medicine."

She handed him the medicine, and Gong Chengjue accepted it cooperatively, but...

Suddenly, he pulled Su Ziqing over and pinned her down.

Having just experienced such treatment in the lobby, Su Ziqing remained calm, thinking he was probably just delirious from the fever.

"Are you feeling uncomfortable?" she asked, trying to push him away.

Gong Chengjue suddenly became a beast, and went straight for her clothes...

Su Ziqing then became alarmed and said, "Gong Chengjue, stop!"

Unfortunately, although he had a low fever, the man's strength was overwhelmingly dominant over the girl, and her hands were grabbed and placed above her head.

She tried to kick him, but he easily pinned her down.

"Let me go." She realized she had been too relaxed, which gave him the opportunity to succeed.

Gong Chengjue ignored him and touched her skin with his hand, which was abnormally warm...

Su Ziqing suddenly gave up struggling and said coldly, "Is this also part of the agreement?"

The hands on his body finally stopped.

Gong Chengjue looked up at her.

Su Ziqing's eyes were devoid of any warmth, as cold as ice.

Gong Chengjue released her, and Su Ziqing, now free, sat up immediately and straightened her clothes.

I thought I would hear Gong Chengjue's apology, but all I heard was, "Yes."

But he didn't want tonight.

Su Ziqing looked at him, thinking she had misheard.

What the heck?!

Gong Chengjue swallowed the medicine and water, then looked at her, "Don't you think it counts?"

Su Ziqing felt as if something had blocked her throat, and she couldn't utter a single word. She just stared at her blankly.

Gong Chengjue put down his water glass. "I'll give you time to adjust." However, he didn't want to wait too long.

Su Ziqing gripped the bed sheet she was sitting on, the sheet folded into a flower shape. She heard her own voice saying, "Gong Chengjue, you didn't say that before."

"I thought that in the eyes of adults, this kind of thing should be within the rules." Gong Chengjue glanced at her hand clutching the bed sheet. "What do you think?"
