Chapter 25 Your Safety Must Be Protected

Su Tianhao took the coat handed to him by the maid and walked towards the door.

"stop."

Su Tianming walked towards him. "What did you mean by what you just said?"

Su Tianhao looked at Su Tianming, raised an eyebrow, and pretended to be ignorant. "Big brother, didn't you hear what I just said? I said, it seems that Su Ziqing got the old man's private seal."

"Impossible." Su Tianming uttered this sentence directly.

"Huh, why are you so sure, brother?" Su Tianhao asked, his eyes filled with deep doubt.

Su Tianming glared at him. This should be a time for brothers to stand together, but his younger brother seemed to want to drag him down.

Ignoring Su Tianhao, Su Tianming went straight to the study.

Su Tianhao raised an eyebrow. He did want to be on the same page as his brother, but unfortunately, his older brother didn't treat him like a younger brother. Ha.

……………………

Su Ziqing had just come out of the airport when she received Su Tianhao's call.

Looking at the bodyguard vehicles in front and behind, Su Ziqing no longer felt that this was an exaggeration.

Although City A is certainly not as chaotic as it is abroad, safety should still be the top priority.

The temperature in City A has risen these past two days, and wearing two layers is just right. Su Ziqing and Gong Chengjue both injured their hands, so they weren't wearing any clothes at the moment, just hanging loosely.

"Now?" Su Ziqing paused and looked at Gong Chengjue.

Then she covered the phone and whispered to Gong Chengjue, "My second uncle wants to meet me now."

Gong Chengjue put his arm around her shoulder with his uninjured hand and continued walking forward, saying, "You make the decision."

Having just landed from a long-haul international flight, Su Ziqing was exhausted. "I don't have time right now."

"It will be too late by tomorrow," Su Tianhao said on the other end of the phone.

Su Ziqing remained silent for a while.

Gong Chengjue didn't listen to their phone conversation and didn't know what Su Tianhao had said. He only heard Su Ziqing agree to meet, "Two hours, see you at the coffee shop."

After hanging up the phone, Su Ziqing looked at Gong Chengjue and said, "I agree."

Gong Chengjue nodded, "I'll go with you." It takes about two hours to get from the airport to the city.

"No need, I..."

He looked at her without saying a word.

Su Ziqing pursed her lips. "Okay."

However, halfway through the journey, Gong Chengjue received a phone call.

The streetlights flickered across his face, illuminating his unpleasant complexion. "Ha."

Su Ziqing found it strange. He started the call in Chinese, but then they talked in a foreign language, not English, which she couldn't understand.

That sudden shout seemed more like a sarcastic remark.

She glanced at him and noticed that his expression wasn't very pleasant.

After hanging up the phone, Gong Chengjue said to Su Ziqing, "Something came up, I'll have Jinhan go with you."

"No way." Su Ziqing refused without even thinking.

Gong Chengjue, "I..." Okay, if she's scared, he'll accompany her to see Su Tianhao first.

"Jinhan must stay by your side," Su Ziqing said seriously.

She didn't know what danger he was in, but she knew he was definitely not safe.

Luo Jinhan is skilled in martial arts and can do the work of two or three people, which is very important to him.

Gong Chengjue smiled, but before he could say anything, Su Ziqing firmly refused, "In City A, they can't openly do anything to me."

He didn't want to scare her, but he also didn't want to criticize her for being too naive, so he compromised and said, "I'll have two other bodyguards take you."

Su Ziqing frowned, but then agreed.

The cars split up in the city. Su Ziqing left in her bodyguard's car, while Gong Chengjue's car turned and headed in another direction.

After Su Ziqing left, Luo Jinhan felt the chill in the car.

Gong Chengjue's handsome face was covered with a layer of ice, and his eyes were so cold that Luo Jinhan didn't dare to speak.

He suddenly felt that it would be better to have Miss Su with him.

Gong Chengjue rested his forehead on his hand, his slender fingers moving with the changing light, sometimes bright, sometimes dark, like a beautiful sketch.

"Did you try to keep a low profile when you transferred people to Switzerland?" Gong Chengjue suddenly asked, his cold eyes fixed on Luo Jinhan.

Luo Jinhan's heart skipped a beat. Had this gotten to the attention of those with ulterior motives in the capital? "We've been very discreet, but Mr. Gong, if they're determined to investigate, then..."

Luo Jinhan swallowed the rest of his explanation, saying, "It was my oversight, and I am willing to accept the punishment."

Gong Chengjue remained silent, staring coldly out the window.

………………………

It was getting late, and there weren't many customers in the coffee shop. The lighting was also quite dim. Su Tianhao chose a corner booth and sat down, playing with his phone while waiting for Su Ziqing to appear.

The location offered a perfect view of the open-air parking lot outside, and Su Tianhao watched as Su Ziqing got out of a black sedan.

The car was inconspicuous, but she was accompanied by two tall bodyguards.

Su Tianhao immediately sat up straight and squinted his eyes slightly.

It seems that Su Ziqing has found a powerful backer.

Is it really the Gong family?

While she was still in a daze, Su Ziqing walked in. She told the two bodyguards to wait outside, and walked up to Su Tianhao by herself.

She didn't call out to anyone when she saw Su Tianhao.

I sat directly opposite him.

"Ziqing." Su Tianhao looked at her with concern, examining the bandaged wound on her hand. "Are you injured? Is it serious?"

Su Ziqing simply looked at him calmly and asked, "What do you want from me?"

Su Tianhao, however, was in no hurry to answer her question and continued to express his concern, "You're a young woman traveling alone, you must be careful."

This fake concern was more disgusting than acting, and Su Ziqing didn't want to listen to it anymore, so she made a move to stand up.

Su Tianhao quickly added, "I also think it was very inappropriate to handle the old man's funeral arrangements so hastily."

Upon hearing this, Su Ziqing sat back down and looked at him intently.

Su Tianhao twitched the corner of his mouth, revealing a helpless expression, "But you also know that in this family, my words... don't carry much weight."

"Heh." Su Ziqing scoffed coldly.

Seeing her expression, Su Tianhao knew she didn't believe him, but he still explained, "As a son, no matter what, we can't bury our deceased elders so hastily, can we?"

These words were a direct reference to Su Tianming.

Su Ziqing remained silent, waiting to see what else he would say.

Gong Chengjue had just reminded her that silence is sometimes more intimidating than talking.

Su Tianhao squeezed out two tears. "As for not letting you attend the funeral... Ziqing, your second uncle tried to persuade you to do so, but as I said before, in this family, my words are no match for theirs."

It's as if he's completely innocent.

"Are you done?" Su Ziqing asked Su Tianhao expressionlessly, her eyes cold. "You asked me out in such a hurry just to complain?"
