Gong Chengjue stood up. "Then I'll go and get busy. I have a meeting to attend to this morning."
"What meeting? Didn't I tell you to deliver a gift to Chief Su's house?" Old Master Gong called out to him.
"Oh, okay," Gong Chengjue agreed.
As Grandpa Gong watched him walk to the door, he suddenly spoke earnestly, "Chengjue, don't disappoint your grandfather."
Gong Chengjue placed his hand on the doorknob. "No."

Chief Su's home
Mrs. Su knocked on the door again, "Okay, my sweet baby, don't worry Mommy, okay?"
"I said I won't eat, I won't eat, I won't eat!" came Su Enen's angry voice from inside the room.
"Don't starve yourself. Mommy promises you, this isn't over."
"..." No more words came from inside the room.
After a while, the door opened, and Su Enen, wearing pajamas and barefoot, stood on the floor with a flushed face. "What did Daddy say?"
When Mrs. Su saw her daughter like this, she became even more worried. "You have a fever?"
Upon examining Su Enen's forehead, Madam Su immediately became extremely anxious and ordered someone to quickly fetch a doctor.
Su Enen sniffed. After spending so much time outside the banquet hall last night, and with the weather so cold, it was only natural that she would get sick. "Mommy, I feel so uncomfortable."

Chief Su looked at Gong Changhong and asked, "Brother Changhong, is your nephew representing him or your Gong family?"
Gong Changhong chuckled and said, "Chengjue and I came here, naturally representing the Gong family."
"So this is how your Gong family apologizes?!" Chief Su said coldly. "Just for poor hospitality. Have you forgotten how you humiliated Enen last night?"
"Chief Su, you must have heard about what happened last night," Gong Chengjue said calmly. "You know the whole story, but isn't there a conclusion yet?"
“Chengjue.” Gong Changhong glared at his nephew.
Chief Su snorted, "Conclusion? Your Gong family bullied our Su family, do I need to repeat myself?"
"Is that what Chief Su thinks? Then Miss Su is innocent..."
"Chengjue!" Gong Changhong shouted at Gong Chengjue. Was he here to apologize? Or was he here to provoke him?
"Second Uncle, Chief Su has probably misunderstood something." Gong Chengjue, however, showed no intention of shutting up.
Chief Su sneered, "Enen is still lying in bed with a fever. Gong Chengjue, remember you're in our Su family now!"
"Is your niece sick?" Gong Changhong interjected.

"Is he alright? Have you called a doctor?" Gong Changhong didn't want to strain relations between the two families because of what happened last night.
After all, the Su family is no ordinary family.

"If you hadn't forcibly kept Enen from leaving, would she have gotten sick from the cold?" Chief Su looked at Gong Changhong accusingly.

"And now you're still so arrogant as to tell me that it's my daughter who's in the wrong?!" Chief Su glared angrily at Gong Chengjue. "Young Master Gong has quite the temper."
“Chief Su.” Gong Chengjue showed no sign of backing down. “If Miss Su hadn’t delayed things herself, things wouldn’t have developed to that point.”
"So you're still blaming my daughter for being wrong?"
"Isn't that right?!"
Gong Changhong: "..." Is this an apology? Or is this an attempt to make an enemy?
He really shouldn't have listened to the old man and brought Gong Chengjue here to apologize.
"Fine, very well!" Chief Su was furious. "Our Su family doesn't need such an insincere apology from your Gong family! Get out."
Gong Changhong didn't want things to escalate, but there was no need for the Gong family to adopt such a humble attitude. Chief Su's words clearly showed a lack of respect for the Gong family, so Gong Changhong's face darkened.

Gong Chengjue drove away in his own black car.
What are you trying to explain? Are you trying to explain that the Su family wanted to take advantage of them, and they refused, so what was originally a small matter last night escalated into a major issue that worsened the relationship between the two families?
