Their gazes locked in a silent battle; he remained calm and composed, giving her a casual, "whatever" look.
Su Ziqing remained silent, but Gong Chengjue had no patience to waste time with her. The door opened...
"Gong Chengjue, besides this," she hurriedly called out to him as he was about to leave, "you can name other conditions."
"Heh." Gong Chengjue chuckled, but then quickly stopped himself from speaking. He looked at her and said, "I don't have that much free time, Miss Su."
After saying that, he walked out of the room, his footsteps echoing in my ears as he had come in.
Su Ziqing tried desperately to move, but to no avail. As the footsteps grew fainter and fainter, she became anxious and cried out, "I promise you!"
