Let's have coffee
Xinyu and Yingzhi strolled hand in hand along a path strewn with ginkgo leaves, the air filled with the faint aroma of coffee. Ever since Xinyu confessed to Yingzhi that she might never be able to return to her original world, these afternoons had become their most precious ritual.
"I heard a new coffee shop opened at school, shall we try it?" Yingzhi suggested softly, his eyes sparkling with anticipation. He was wearing a light gray sweater with a beige trench coat over it, exuding a gentle and elegant aura.
Xinyu smiled and nodded, her eyes full of happiness: "Okay, I was just thinking of trying their latte." She remembered that when she was at Hoshino, Eichi had made her a cup of hot cocoa, and the warmth of that time seemed to still linger in her palm.
The two arrived at a café, decorated in a warm and romantic style, with landscape paintings of Yumenosaki Academy hanging on the walls and delicate vases on the tables. Eichi ordered a latte for Shin-chan and an Americano for himself. Shin-chan noticed the academy's emblem printed on her cup, a thoughtful detail.
"Your coffee." Yingzhi pushed the latte towards her, his eyes full of tenderness. "Be careful, it's hot."
Xinyu gently grasped the cup, feeling the warmth emanating from her palm. She took a sip, the rich aroma of coffee spreading in her mouth, tinged with a hint of sweetness. She looked up at Yingzhi: "This coffee is delicious, just like your gentle nature."
Tears of emotion welled in Yingzhi's eyes as he gently pulled Xinyu into his arms: "Thank you, Xinyu. Your decision makes me even more certain that no matter what the future holds, I will be by your side."
The two continued drinking coffee, and the conversation gradually lightened. Yingzhi recounted his daily life in the student council, how he balanced his studies and club activities, and his plans for the future. Xinyu shared her feelings after being transported to Yumenosaki, how she adapted to the new environment, and her longing for Yingzhi.
"You know what?" Eichi suddenly said, gazing at the maple trees outside the window, "Every time I have coffee with you, I think of the time we sat around the campfire chatting in Hoshino."
Xin Yu's lips curved into a slight smile. She recalled that night when Ying Zhi played "Hoshino Renka" for her. The moonlight was like water, the piano music was melodious, and it seemed as if the whole world had stood still for them. She gently leaned on Ying Zhi's shoulder: "Back then, you were more dazzling than the stars."
The café lights gradually came on, creating a romantic and cozy atmosphere. A distant bell tolled, reminding them that their afternoon classes were about to begin. But neither of them wanted to leave, as if time had stood still for them at that moment.

The two left the café and walked along the path towards the maple forest. The afterglow of the setting sun cast their shadows long, as if stretching to eternity. Yingzhi suddenly stopped, took a delicate little box from her pocket, and opened it to find a pair of couple's bracelets inside.
Happiness shone in Xinyu's eyes as she gently leaned on Yingzhi's shoulder: "Yingzhi, I love you."
"I love you too, Xinyu," Yingzhi replied softly, her eyes full of tenderness.
Under the starry sky of Yumenosaki, their love, like the autumn maple leaves, though weathered by wind and frost, blossoms with even more radiant colors.
Because of love, all boundaries can be transcended; because of love, people from two different worlds can be closely connected.
