My first kiss with him
She remembered how, on the Singapore Ferris wheel, they were almost about to kiss when a sudden burst of fireworks interrupted their kiss; she remembered how, when they exchanged wedding rings in the chapel of Yumenosaki, the priest's blessing prevented them from taking things further; she remembered how, by Hoshino's campfire, Eichi played "Hoshino Renka" for her, the moonlight so bright that it made her heart race.
She suddenly remembered the wild fruit that Eichi roasted for her by the campfire in Hoshino, which was just like that, with a touch of clumsy tenderness.
"Is it good?" Yingzhi looked at her nervously, her fingers unconsciously twisting the edge of her apron.
Xinyu suddenly reached out and held a honey-smeared cookie to his lips: "Try it."
Yingzhi paused for a moment, then lowered his head and took a bite of the biscuit. The sweet aroma of honey filled the air between them, like an invisible bond connecting their hearts. When he looked up, his eyes sparkled with happiness: "Sweeter than I imagined."
Just then, the butler came in carrying coffee. Seeing the two sharing breakfast, he smiled and put down the tray: "Young master, this is your Blue Mountain coffee."
Yingzhi took the coffee, then suddenly remembered something and pulled a maple leaf-shaped brooch from his pocket: "This is for the lady." The word "Morning" was engraved on the inside of the brooch, shimmering in the morning light.
Xinyu pinned the brooch to the collar of her pajamas and suddenly noticed that Yingzhi's apron had the same pattern. She gently stroked the maple leaf and suddenly understood that from their first encounter with Hoshino, to Yumenosaki's wedding, and then to their honeymoon in Singapore, they finally had their own dawn.
"What do you want for breakfast tomorrow?" Yingzhi handed her the coffee, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.
Xinyu leaned on his shoulder and whispered, "I like anything you make."
In the morning light, their figures were close together. Yingzhi suddenly put down his coffee cup and gently cupped Xinyu's face in his hands. His fingers, still warm from the kitchen, lightly brushed her cheeks, as if caressing a precious treasure.
"We...haven't kissed yet." Eichi's voice was low, tinged with a barely perceptible nervousness. "From Hoshino to Yumenosaki, and then to Singapore, we've been interrupted every time."
Tears welled in Xinyu's eyes as she nodded gently. Yingzhi's lips slowly approached, carrying the rich aroma of coffee and the sweetness of honey. When their lips met, the morning light seemed to stand still. The kiss was slightly awkward, yet full of tenderness and promise, like a morning hymn of love, gently echoing in every corner of the villa.
Yingzhi's tongue gently traced the shape of Xinyu's lips, and Xinyu's hands unconsciously wrapped around his neck. The kiss gradually grew passionate from its initial tentative touch, carrying the warmth of morning light and the sweetness of honey. When Yingzhi finally released her, both of them were slightly breathless, their cheeks flushed.
"This is...our first kiss," Xinyu whispered, her eyes sparkling with happiness.
Yingzhi smiled and wiped away the tears from the corner of her eyes: "Yes, but it won't be the last."
In the morning light, their figures clung tightly together. From the starry sky of Hoshinohara to the chapel of Yumenosaki, from the Singapore Flyer to this kitchen, their story is forever unfinished. This first kiss, like a seed, took root and sprouted in their hearts, foreshadowing an even brighter future.
