Visiting Yingzhi's home

Visiting Yingzhi's home

On the morning they returned from their honeymoon in Singapore, sunlight streamed through the airplane window, illuminating Xinyu's wedding dress. The maple leaf brooch reflected the starlight of Hoshino in the morning light. Yingzhi held her hand, his fingertips gently tracing the intersection of Singapore's latitude and longitude and Hoshino's coordinates engraved on the inside of their wedding ring, and whispered, "This time, it's time to take you to my home."

When the taxi stopped in front of the Tenshouin family's European-style villa, Xin Yu's fingertips unconsciously gripped Eichi's sleeve. She remembered how she had nervously clutched the hem of her clothes when they first met at Hoshino's.

"Don't be afraid." Yingzhi turned to her and smiled, her eyes filled with tenderness. "This will be our home from now on."

The villa gate slowly opened, and the butler bowed respectfully: "Welcome home, Young Master Yingzhi, Miss Xinyu." Xinyu suddenly noticed that the butler had a small maple leaf pinned to his brooch—the same style as hers.

Entering the living room, Xinyu was drawn to the photos on the wall. They were snapshots of Yingzhi's growth from childhood to adulthood, from his kindergarten graduation photo to his high school graduation ceremony, each one recording the boy's journey. But in the center of the photo wall, there was an empty space, next to a maple leaf specimen framed in gold.

Xin Yu's fingertips gently traced the maple leaf, and she suddenly noticed a line of small words engraved on the back: "Forever in Heart". She looked up at Ying Zhi and saw that the tips of his ears were slightly flushed.

Yingzhi led Xinyu into the kitchen, where everything was neat and tidy, yet exuded an unexpected warmth. A photo of their wedding was pasted on the refrigerator, with a note tucked beside it: "To my beloved wife—breakfast is in the microwave."

"This is..." Xin Yu stopped in surprise.

"I learned it during my honeymoon," Yingzhi said, scratching her head a little sheepishly. "In Singapore, I secretly learned a few dishes from a chef."

Just then, the microwave made a "ding" sound. Yingzhi opened it, and inside was a steaming hot breakfast, with a maple leaf-shaped cookie next to it.

Yingzhi led Xinyu to the study, which was filled with books and trophies, but the most eye-catching item was a framed photo on the desk. Inside was a picture of them together in Singapore, with the caption: "Our first home, from Hoshino to Yumenosaki, and now here."

"Look at this." Yingzhi took out a box from the drawer. Inside was Xinyu's diary from when she traveled through time. Their marriage certificate and Singapore plane ticket were tucked inside.

"From the moment you arrived in Hoshino, I began collecting everything related to you," Eichi's voice trembled slightly, "because I knew you were my destined partner."

That evening, Yingzhi brought Xinyu to the bedroom. On the bedside table was a framed photo of them together in Singapore, and next to it was a ring with "Home" engraved on the inside.

"This is..." Xinyu picked up the ring in surprise.

"Our home," Eichi said softly. "From Hoshino to Yumenosaki, and then to Singapore, now, we finally have our own home."

"This is our future," Yingzhi said.

Okay.

Tears welled up in Xinyu's eyes as she gently grasped Yingzhi's hand: "Yingzhi, I love you."

"I love you too, Xinyu." Yingzhi smiled, her eyes sparkling with happiness. "From Hoshino to Yume no Naka de."
