Chapter 13 Arrival in Kyoto!

"How could I not remember? I hear your voice on TV every day," Han Feng said respectfully.

"I feel much better after your treatment last time. I remember you said that I need to take care of myself regularly. I was wondering if you have time now that you've finished your exams, and if you could come to Kyoto for a visit."

"I have time; I'm planning to go on vacation during the holidays."

"Okay, I'll let Lao Zheng know and arrange for someone to pick you up."

"Thank you, sir. I'll go by myself. Don't trouble yourself."

"Okay, when you arrive, have Lao Zheng let me know."

After hanging up the phone, Wang Hao walked up to me mysteriously: "Whose call was that? Why were you being so careful? Did you have your eye on another girl?"

Han Feng laughed and scolded, "Get lost! Are you still going to the barbecue?"

"Let's go, let's go, I need to relax properly."

---

Since he had just finished his exams, Han Feng didn't linger outside for long. He planned to go home and tell his parents about his trip to Kyoto.

Han Feng sat on the sofa, his gaze falling on his parents' slightly worried faces.

"Dad, Mom, I'm planning to go to Kyoto for a few days." He said casually, as if he were just suggesting a weekend outing.

Mr. Han frowned: "Why do you suddenly want to go to Kyoto? It's so far away..."

"There's some business to discuss with the investment company." Han Feng smiled and pulled up a document on his phone. "I'm planning to look for suitable projects in Kyoto."

Before Han's mother could say anything more, Han Feng stood up and gently pressed her shoulder: "Don't worry, Secretary Zheng will take care of things too."

Upon hearing the words "Secretary Zheng," Han's parents exchanged a glance and finally sighed, "Then... be careful."

——

Zheng Family Villa, evening.

"Old Lin invited you to Kyoto?" Zheng Guodong put down his teacup, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes. "He told you personally?"

Han Feng nodded: "He called me after the college entrance exam and mentioned it briefly. He said he would help him get some treatment."

Zheng Guodong pondered for a moment, then suddenly laughed: "Good lad, you're the first one that's taken a liking to."

He picked up the phone and dialed a number: "Xiao Zhao, arrange a flight to Kyoto the day after tomorrow... Yes, Han Feng."

After hanging up the phone, Zheng Guodong looked at Han Feng and said, "I've had my secretary book you a flight for the morning of the day after tomorrow. Someone will pick you up when you get there."

Han Feng nodded slightly: "Thank you, Uncle Zheng."

——

The day before departure, at a barbecue stall in Jiang City.

Wang Hao, biting into a skewer of mutton, asked indistinctly, "Are you really going to Kyoto?"

"Hmm." Han Feng took a sip of his cola. "I'm planning to apply to Peking University."

"Peking University?!" Wang Hao almost choked. "That's a top-tier university! With my score..."

Han Feng glanced at him: "Do you want to go?"

Wang Hao smiled wryly: "Who wouldn't want to? But with my grades, I'd be lucky to get into a top-tier university."

Han Feng didn't say anything, but took out his phone and sent a message.

A few seconds later, Wang Hao's phone rang.

He looked down and saw a text message from an unknown number:

"Kyoto Institute of Technology (Sino-foreign cooperative program) is offering reduced admission scores. Please contact us if interested..."

Wang Hao suddenly looked up: "This...?"

Han Feng smiled and said, "Give it a try, it might work."

——

Kyoto International Airport, evening.

As soon as Han Feng stepped out of the terminal, a middle-aged man in a black suit and sunglasses came up to him.

"Mr. Han?" The other person bowed slightly, speaking respectfully. "I am the driver arranged by Secretary Zheng, my surname is Li."

Han Feng nodded and handed him the luggage: "Thank you for your help."

The black Audi A8 slowly drove away from the airport, passing through the bustling streets of Kyoto. Mr. Li cautiously glanced at the young man through the rearview mirror—the distinguished guest personally assigned by Secretary Zheng to receive was just an eighteen or nineteen-year-old boy?

"Mr. Han, your accommodation has been arranged at the Kyoto Grand Hotel, which is very close to the city center..."

"No need," Han Feng interrupted him, looking out the window. "Take me to the Hua Mansion in Kyoto."

"Kyoto Mansion?" Driver Li was taken aback. "That's a private residential area. Without a reservation..."

"Villa No. 01," Han Feng said calmly.

"squeak--!"

The tires screeched against the pavement, and Mr. Li slammed on the brakes, nearly rear-ending the car in front of him. He turned around, his eyes wide, and asked, "Where...where did you say?"

Han Feng didn't speak, but simply took out a black access card from his wallet. The gold lettering "Huafu 01" on it gleamed coldly in the setting sun.

——

Half an hour later, in Kyoto.

This top-tier luxury residential area, nestled at the foot of Xishan Mountain, has security that is almost harsh. Driver Li's car was stopped at the entrance, and four armed guards approached with cold expressions.

"Please show your pass."

Han Feng rolled down the car window and handed over the black card. The security captain took it, his pupils contracted sharply, and he immediately stood at attention and saluted.

"Mr. Han! Welcome home!"

The barrier rose, and the Audi slowly drove in. Mr. Li's palms were already sweating—he'd been a driver in Kyoto for over a decade and had never seen anyone enter the Washington Mansion so easily, let alone Villa No. 01! That was a place rumored to be off-limits even to the mayor!

At the end of the driveway, a three-story villa in a modern Chinese style stands on the hillside, its panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows reflecting the sunset, resembling a crystal palace.

Han Feng got out of the car, walked to the door, and used fingerprint recognition and iris verification to make the door slide open silently.

Mr. Li stood there, completely stunned.

"Thank you for your hard work." Han Feng turned around. "Go back and tell Uncle Zheng that I will see Old Lin on time tomorrow."

Han Feng only looked away and stepped into the villa after the Audi's taillights disappeared around the corner.

——

Inside, the minimalist gray and white color scheme is complemented by soft lighting automatically illuminated by smart home devices.

Han Feng looked around—this villa was one of the mysterious assets rewarded by the system.

“Interesting…” He stroked the dust on the leather sofa. “It seems the system has prepared quite a few surprises for me.”

Just as I was about to go upstairs to check the bedroom, suddenly—

"Knock knock knock!"

A rapid knocking sounded on the door.

Han Feng frowned and saw a girl standing outside the door through the monitor screen.

She wore a black studded leather jacket, ripped jeans, and short, burgundy hair with a few strands of silver highlights; a row of earrings glittered under the light. Chewing gum, she impatiently kicked the door again.

"Open the door! I know you're in there!"

Han Feng raised an eyebrow and pressed the call button: "Who are you?"

The girl looked up, revealing a delicate yet rebellious face—almond-shaped eyes slightly upturned, a high nose bridge, and a lip piercing that peeked out as she spoke.

"Su Wanwan." She grinned, revealing her sharp canine teeth.

Han Feng opened the door, and Su Wanwan walked straight in. Looking at the girl in front of him, her whole demeanor was completely inconsistent with her name.

"Why are you staring at me like that? Haven't you ever seen a beautiful woman before?" Su Wanwan looked at the handsome boy in front of her.

She originally lived in Villa 03, but today she happened to see someone go into Villa 01. She was very curious about the owner of the villa, and given her personality, she came to find out. She didn't expect it to be such a young man.
