Chapter 155 Han Feng's Troubles

Inside the office, the three fell silent. Then Han Feng spoke up: "Chief, I'm considering bringing my parents to Kyoto."

Lin Zhengguo was taken aback for a moment, but he quickly understood Han Feng's intention: having his close friends by his side would allow him to respond to any emergencies immediately.

Nodding in agreement, the three of them continued their discussion for a while using the information Mu Xiaoxiao had sent. They decided to investigate Mu Xiaoxiao's experiences in Country M step by step, just in case.

After leaving the Longyuan Base, Han Feng was lost in thought on his way home. Lin Zhengguo had fully supported his decision to bring his parents to Kyoto, but how to explain his current relationship with the two women to his parents was a problem. It was clear that his parents had shown endless affection for either Liu Mengran or Su Wanwan.

However, if he told his parents that he had taken both of them in, he was afraid that they would break his legs. This series of problems made his temples ache.

Han Feng returned home quickly. It was already noon, and the villa's lights shone warmly through the curtains. As soon as Han Feng opened the door, he smelled the aroma of food wafting from the kitchen. Liu Mengran was busy at the stove, while Su Wanwan sat cross-legged on the sofa typing on her computer. Hearing the noise, she called out without looking up, "You're back! Go wash your hands and get ready for dinner!"

This familiar, warm feeling touched Han Feng's heart. He took off his coat and hung it in the entryway, then went to the kitchen and wrapped his arms around Liu Mengran's waist from behind: "What are you making?"

"Ah!" Liu Mengran was so startled she almost dropped the spatula, her ears instantly turning bright red. "No, don't do this so suddenly... Wanwan is watching from outside."

"I didn't see anything!" Su Wanwan deliberately raised her voice, while her fingers pounded the keyboard.

Han Feng smiled and let go of Liu Mengran's hand, taking the spatula from her to help stir the vegetables in the pot.

At the dining table, Su Wanwan wolfed down her food, asking indistinctly, "What did Old Man Lin say when we arrived at the base today?"

"This matter might be unusual. I think it's best to bring my parents to Kyoto." Han Feng placed a piece of fish in Liu Mengran's bowl. "That way, Longyuan will provide protection from the shadows."

"Aunt and Uncle are coming?" Su Wanwan became excited. Having lost her parents at a young age, she had always longed for family affection, and Han Feng's parents gave her a different feeling.

However, Liu Mengran keenly noticed a fleeting look of worry on Han Feng's face: "Is there a problem?"

Han Feng put down his chopsticks, carefully choosing his words: "I'm thinking... how to explain the relationship between the three of us to my parents."

"Pfft—" Su Wanwan spat out a mouthful of soup. "Wait, you have to tell your parents that we..." She gestured back and forth between the three of them with her fingers, her face turning bright red.

Liu Mengran froze, and the rice on her chopsticks fell back into her bowl. Although the three of them had broken through the barrier between them, facing traditional elders was a completely different matter.

"My parents are very conservative," Han Feng said, rubbing his temples. "If I were to say directly that the three of us are together, I'm afraid they'd beat me up."

"Haha, so you're scared too?" Su Wanwan teased.

Just as Han Feng was frowning in worry, Su Wanwan's eyes suddenly lit up: "That's right! My villa number 3 is still empty."

"Huh? What?" Han Feng and Liu Mengran looked up at the same time.

"My old villa, number 3, has been empty all this time, hasn't it?" Su Wanwan gestured excitedly. "My aunt and uncle can stay in my old villa. We can stay the same, that way they won't suspect anything, and it's close by..."

Han Feng suddenly stood up, the chair scraping loudly on the floor. He scooped up Su Wanwan and spun her around: "Wanwan, you're a genius!" Then, amidst the girl's scream, he planted a hard kiss on her cheek.

"Hey! Put me down!" Su Wanwan kicked and thrashed, her face as red as a ripe apple.

Han Feng put her down, turned around and saw Liu Mengran covering her mouth and chuckling. He mischievously leaned closer and said, "Mengran, you have to treat everyone equally." He then kissed her lips and only let go when Liu Mengran softly punched his shoulder.

"You rascal..." Liu Mengran muttered, her face flushed, but the corners of her mouth couldn't help but turn up.

After the commotion subsided, the three sat back down at the table. Liu Mengran straightened her disheveled hair and asked, "When are you planning to tell your aunt and uncle?"

"I'll go back for a bit, but I should let them know beforehand, otherwise it'll be too sudden," Han Feng pondered. "There are some things I need to pack myself, and it'll be more convincing to say it face-to-face."

Su Wanwan bit the tip of her chopsticks: "Do you want us to go together?"

"I can go back by myself, it'll only take two days at most," Han Feng shook his head. "I'll sound him out first. If I suddenly bring two 'girlfriends' home, my dad might kick me out immediately."

Liu Mengran suddenly remembered something: "Oh right, school is about to start... How long has it been since we went to class?"

These words were like a pause button being pressed. Han Feng froze, then gave a wry smile: "If you hadn't mentioned it, I almost forgot, we're still 'students'."

"What kind of student are you!" Su Wanwan rolled her eyes. "You're always either running around the base or on missions. You even poached Mengran to be your company's CEO. While you're on missions, I still have to work as a technical consultant at the base. Maybe we should ask Old Man Lin to find a way to get us to graduate early!"

Han Feng shook his head: "It's not that simple. Graduating early isn't that easy; we still have to submit papers and stuff, where would we find the time to write them..."

"How will you know if you don't try?" Su Wanwan patted her chest confidently. "Even if I have to submit a paper, I can write ten of those academic rubbish papers a day!"

Liu Mengran was amused: "Do you think the professors are fools?"

The three burst into laughter, temporarily forgetting the dangerous plot. Amidst the laughter, Han Feng took out his phone, hesitated for a moment, and then dialed home.

"Hello, Mom..." His voice softened unconsciously.

"What's wrong, Xiaofeng?" Han's mother's voice on the other end of the phone was filled with surprise.

"I'm going home tomorrow. There's something I'd like to discuss with you and Dad," Han Feng said.

"What could possibly require you to come back in person to tell me?" Han's mother asked, somewhat puzzled.

"Uh, it's hard to explain over the phone. I'll tell you the details when I arrive tomorrow."

After hanging up, Han Feng looked at the concerned gazes of the two girls in front of him and suddenly felt that all his worries were no longer important.

"Let's eat first." He put food in everyone's bowl. "We'll talk about tomorrow tomorrow."

After dinner, Han Feng sat on the sofa and quickly booked his flight back to Jiang City for the next day. Just as he was wondering whose room to stay in that evening, Su Wanwan closed the door and said, "I'm not feeling well right now. Go find Sister Mengran."

Liu Mengran thoughtfully prepared a pillow and blanket for Han Feng and placed them on the sofa, saying, "You have a flight early tomorrow morning, so you should get some rest tonight." Then she quickly closed the door, leaving Han Feng to spend the night alone on the sofa.
