Chapter 16 Han Feng's Conditions

Then Lin Zhengguo chatted with Han Feng for a long time. After learning that Fenghua Investment, which had suddenly sprung up in Jiang City, was actually Han Feng's business, Lin Zhengguo laughed and said, "Good lad, you have brought me too many shocks in just a few months."

"It's all thanks to the good education we receive in our country, that we're taught to dedicate ourselves to the nation," Han Feng said with a grin. After spending the day together, he realized that Lin Zhengguo wasn't as authoritative as he appeared on TV.

"Serving the country? The conditions you agreed to for entering Longyuan didn't sound like that at all," Lin Zhengguo said with a hint of resentment. But he also knew that Han Feng was no ordinary person; some people are born to break the rules.

"That's also about doing something for the country."

In the evening, Han Feng left Xishan Villa by car.

Chen Feng personally escorted Han Feng to his car, and after hesitating for a long time, he finally asked, "Mr. Han, just now... how much force did you use?"

Han Feng smiled but did not answer.

The car window rolled up, and the Hongqi sedan slowly drove away. Chen Feng stood there, suddenly realizing that his right hand was trembling slightly.

This was the first time in his twenty years of military service that he had felt fear.

Han Feng had just returned to the villa when he saw all the lights were on. Without a second thought, he knew that Su Wanwan had run into his house.

Han Feng pushed open the door and saw Su Wanwan sitting cross-legged on the sofa, a lollipop dangling from her mouth, listlessly pressing the TV remote. This time, she didn't climb through the window; she went through the front door properly—although Han Feng suspected she had secretly copied his access card.

"Oh, you're back?" She didn't turn around, her tone languid. "How did it go after meeting the important person?"

Han Feng took off his coat and casually hung it on the coat rack: "You seem quite comfortable in my house."

"Of course~" Su Wanwan finally turned her head, her wine-red short hair shimmering under the light, her lip piercing sparkling. "After all, we'll be classmates and colleagues in the future, so it's good to get to know each other beforehand."

Han Feng paused, "Colleague?"

Su Wanwan grinned and pulled a black ID card from her pocket. The gold-embossed dragon emblem on it gleamed under the light—"Longyuan".

"Let's get to know each other again." She waved her badge. "'Dragon Abyss' Technical Team, codename 'Ghost'."

Han Feng raised an eyebrow, not entirely surprised. Someone who could hack into the Ministry of Education's database and escape arrest certainly deserved to be recruited by "Longyuan".

He walked to the opposite side of the sofa, sat down, and poured himself a glass of water: "So, what exactly do you want to come here tonight?"

Su Wanwan suddenly leaned closer, her almond-shaped eyes sparkling with gossip: "I just want to know—why was it that even though I dug up your college entrance exam scores, half an hour later all the information about you was encrypted and blocked? Even I can't access it?"

She held up three fingers: "I tried three different methods of intrusion, even using the NSA's backdoor, but it bounced back every time!" She exaggeratedly clutched her chest, "Do you know how devastating that is for a genius hacker?!"

Han Feng took a sip of water and said in a flat tone, "Oh."

"Hey!" Su Wanwan angrily snatched his water glass away. "How can you be so boring!"

Han Feng looked at her flustered appearance and suddenly found it a little funny. She was clearly a top-notch hacker, but her personality was like that of a cat with an excessive curiosity.

“Telling you isn’t impossible,” he said slowly, “but I have three conditions.”

Su Wanwan's eyes lit up: "What are the conditions?"

"Promise me three things, and I'll tell you the truth."

Su Wanwan immediately leaned back warily: "You state your conditions first!"

Han Feng smiled and said, "I haven't decided yet."

"You!" she exclaimed, jumping up in anger. "Isn't this just being a scoundrel?!"

Han Feng shrugged: "Never mind then."

"Wait!" Su Wanwan spun around in frustration twice before finally sitting down through gritted teeth. "This isn't fair! These conditions are practically a blank check!"

Ding: System notification: Target contract completion rate detected at 98%, probability of backing out at 72%.

Looking at the girl in front of him, who clearly possessed top-notch hacking skills but couldn't hide her thoughts like a child, Han Feng suddenly found it somewhat amusing.

Han Feng shrugged: "Never mind then."

Su Wanwan finally succumbed to her curiosity, grabbing his sleeve and gritting her teeth, "I...agree!"

Han Feng smiled slightly and took a document from the coffee table drawer, handing it to her.

Su Wanwan opened it and gasped in shock—

China's SSS-level Confidentiality Agreement

Signatory: Lin Zhengguo

"Do you understand now?" Han Feng took back the file. "My file was sealed off by that person himself."

Su Wanwan was stunned, and the lollipop in her mouth was crushed with a "crunch".

Has she... gotten on a pirate ship?

---

Half an hour later.

Su Wanwan slumped on the sofa, listlessly chewing on her second lollipop: "Oh no, I should have known better than to investigate you... Now that I'm on your pirate ship, are you going to ask me to blow up the Pentagon...?"

Han Feng was calling his parents to let them know he was safe when he heard this. He glanced at her and thought to himself that this girl's thought process was really peculiar.

"Mom, everything's arranged here... Yes, it's very safe... Yes, I can just go straight to register when school starts..."

He picked up his phone: "I'll let my parents know I'm safe first."

When the call connected, Han's mother's worried voice came through: "Xiaofeng, are you getting used to Kyoto? I heard it's gotten colder there recently..."

Su Wanwan seized the opportunity to eavesdrop, but Han Feng pushed her away with a finger pressed against her forehead. She exaggeratedly mouthed, "Mama's boy—"

Han Feng rolled his eyes at Su Wanwan.

On the other end of the phone, Han's mother kept giving him instructions, and Han Feng patiently responded, but his gaze unconsciously fell on Su Wanwan—the girl was secretly taking apart his smart speaker, seemingly trying to install a bugging device.

He sighed silently, and a silver needle flicked from between his fingers, striking Su Wanwan's hand precisely.

"Ouch!" she cried out, glaring at him with a pitiful expression.

Han Feng said into the phone, "It's nothing, the neighbor's cat just ran in... Yeah, I'll remember to lock the doors and windows."

After hanging up the phone, he grabbed Su Wanwan by the collar and carried her to the door like a kitten: "It's ten o'clock, good girl, it's time to go home and sleep."

"Hey! Who's the good kid here?!" Su Wanwan bared her teeth and brandished her claws. "I still have questions to ask!"

Han Feng ruthlessly closed the door and even locked it from the inside.

An angry slamming sound came from outside the door: "Han Feng! Your third condition can't be too outrageous! I won't do murder or arson!"

---

Mini-theater:

Su Wanwan (frantically typing on the keyboard): "I'm so angry! This person is harder to break through than a firewall!"

Han Feng (calmly sipping tea): "Save your energy, I have to get up early tomorrow."

Su Wanwan (frustrated): "Are you going to tell me the other two conditions or not?!"

Han Feng (smiling): "Next time for sure."
