After the three women drove away from the villa to go shopping, Han Feng was bored at home alone. Thinking of the Star Compendium that Zhang Jingtian had given him earlier that day, he got up and went upstairs to his room.
The moment the door closed, Han Feng immediately entered the cultivation space. A familiar feeling of weightlessness washed over him, and when he opened his eyes again, the sight before him made his breath catch in his throat—the once vast starry sky had become even more solid; the stars were no longer distant specks of light, but real, rotating celestial bodies, radiating immense energy. Star veins flowed beneath his feet like a galaxy, each fluctuation synchronized with his heartbeat.
"You've arrived."
A cool male voice came from above. Han Feng looked up and saw a tall, slender figure hovering in mid-air—Zero's image was clearer than before. His long, silver-white hair moved without wind, his face was sharply defined, and his starry eyes were so deep they seemed to devour light. He wore an ancient-style robe, the star map embroidered on it strikingly similar to the energy flow within Han Feng's body.
"It seems that with each Star Mirror I obtain, you get closer to completion?" Han Feng narrowed his eyes. "What if we collect all three...?"
"I am but a remnant soul." Zero landed gracefully, the hem of her robe transforming into starlight that dissipated and reformed. "Even if I gather all the Star Mirrors, I may not be able to fully recover my memories."
Han Feng took a few steps closer, carefully examining the face that was both strange and familiar: "What have you remembered this time?"
Zero's expression subtly shifted, a look that was both a nod and a shake of the head: "The memories haven't returned..." He raised his hand, and two illusory images of star mirrors appeared in his palm. "But I can help you refine them."
"Refine it?" Han Feng raised an eyebrow. "Hasn't the Star Mirror already recognized its master?"
"Recognizing a master is merely establishing a connection." Zero's fingers traced the surface of the Star Mirror, creating ripples. "Refining is making it a part of you." He looked up at Han Feng, "Like the difference between digestion and chewing."
Han Feng nodded thoughtfully: "Can refining it increase cultivation level?"
"I don't know," Zero said frankly. "I only know it'll be good for you."
This answer made Han Feng frown. As the system's guide, Zero was always intimately familiar with all kinds of data, so his ambiguity seemed unusual. Unless... the benefits were beyond Zero's current understanding.
"Let's begin then." Han Feng sat down cross-legged, and the power of the stars within his body began to circulate automatically.
Zero's figure floated to the opposite side, her hands forming a complex hand seal. Suddenly, all the starlight in the space converged on the two of them, forming a dazzling light curtain around them.
"Take out the Star Compass."
With a thought, Han Feng summoned the two star mirrors to his chest. Unlike when they first met, the surface of the star mirrors was now covered with flowing star patterns, and the interior seemed to contain a swirling galaxy.
Zero lightly tapped the Star Mirror with his finger, and a beam of light suddenly connected his brow with Han Feng's: "Relax your mind and let the Star Mirror's energy flow naturally."
In an instant, Han Feng felt an ancient and vast power surge into his sea of consciousness. It was not ordinary energy, but rather like some kind of memory, some kind of inheritance... Countless scenes of the birth and annihilation of stars flashed before his eyes, each frame containing the ultimate truth of the universe.
"Ugh..." Han Feng groaned, cold sweat beading on his forehead. This deluge of information far exceeded his capacity to process; his brain felt like it was about to explode.
Zero's voice, like a clear spring, flowed into his chaotic sea of consciousness: "Focus! Guide the energy along the star trails!"
Han Feng endured the excruciating pain and guided the power along the path he had taken when cultivating "Star Track". Miraculously, as soon as the Star Mirror energy began to flow along a specific path, the pain immediately lessened, replaced by an unprecedented sense of fulfillment.
The starlight within the space grew stronger, while Zero's figure gradually became transparent. He was using his own energy as a medium to help Han Feng establish a deeper connection with the Star Mirror.
"Do you see that?" Zero's voice became ethereal, "Those points of light..."
Han Feng examined his own body and discovered that in addition to the original stellar power, his meridians now contained many tiny specks of light, like microscopic stars flowing within his body. With each breath, these specks of light resonated with the external starry sky, absorbing and releasing mysterious energy.
"What is this...?" Han Feng asked uncertainly.
Zero did not answer. His figure had faded to almost invisible, all his energy devoted to maintaining the refining process. The Star Mirror was currently suspended in Han Feng's dantian, slowly rotating, releasing more light points with each rotation and merging them into his meridians.
Suddenly, Zero's afterimage fluctuated violently: "Not good... You're processing this too quickly..."
"Focus on refining!" Zero's voice suddenly became stern. "If you stop now, all your previous efforts will be wasted!"
Han Feng gritted his teeth, forcibly suppressing the urge to fight. The refinement of the Star Mirror had reached a crucial stage; the light points within his body began to automatically arrange and combine, forming a mysterious array. He could sense that this was not a simple improvement in cultivation, but a reconstruction of the essence of his energy...
Zero's figure suddenly froze for a moment, her finger pointing to Han Feng's brow: "Remember this feeling! The stars never fade, the cycle continues!"
An unfamiliar mnemonic was directly imprinted in Han Feng's memory.
"How much longer until it's fully refined..." Han Feng tensed up, and the Star Mirror rotated at its maximum speed.
Zero's figure gradually emitted a faint glow: "Almost there! Just hang in there!"
As the last wisp of Star Mirror energy merged into his meridians, Han Feng collapsed with a sense of relief. The excruciating pain that felt like his soul was being torn apart instantly transformed into an indescribable sense of comfort, as if every cell in his body was cheering with joy.
"Finally finished..." Zero's voice was so weak it was almost inaudible. "I've used up too much mental energy; I need to rest..."
"Wait!" Han Feng called out hurriedly, "My body is currently—"
Before he could finish speaking, Zero's light and shadow vanished like smoke. The system space returned to silence, leaving only the starry sky and Han Feng suspended within it.
"Damn it..." Han Feng shook his head helplessly. This unreliable system always failed him at crucial moments.
He sat cross-legged, closing his eyes and focusing inward. The moment his consciousness sank into his dantian, the sight before him made him gasp – the once chaotic sea of energy had transformed into a dazzling galaxy, with two illusory star mirrors slowly rotating in the center like twin stars. Even more wondrously, not far away, there was a clearly empty space, its outline perfectly matching the star mirrors, radiating a faint attraction.
"Three Star Mirrors..." Han Feng murmured to himself. This gap was clearly prepared for the third Star Mirror, but he wondered what changes would occur once they were all collected.
He turned his attention to the stellar power within his meridians and was immediately startled. The energy, which had previously been scattered like mist, had now condensed into a liquid state, flowing through his meridians like a cascading galaxy. Even a mere trace of it revealed its terrifying density.
