Chapter 111 Playful Fighting

As evening fell, Su Wanwan picked up Liu Mengran and returned to Huafu in Kyoto. As soon as they parked the car, they looked at the van with "Qiang Ge Decoration" printed on it with a puzzled expression.

"What's Han Feng up to now?" Su Wanwan circled the car, her hand gesturing. "He just left not long ago."

Liu Mengran had already reached the villa's door and inserted the key into the lock: "You'll know once you go in."

Pushing open the door, the two women were stunned by what they saw. Han Feng's master bedroom door was wide open, the once luxurious bed was gone, and the decorative layer on the walls had been peeled off, revealing the raw concrete structure. Han Feng was standing on a ladder, holding a measuring instrument and gesturing at the wall.

"Young Master Han, are you trying to tear the house apart?" Su Wanwan shouted, hands on her hips and looking up.

Han Feng looked down and saw the two of them, almost slipping off the ladder: "Why are you back so early?" He hurriedly climbed down the ladder, brushing the dust off his clothes, "I thought you wouldn't be back for a while."

"So you dismantled the bedroom?" Liu Mengran walked into the unrecognizable bedroom, her fingers tracing the electrical wiring channels on the wall.

"More or less." Han Feng scratched his head, avoiding Liu Mengran's probing gaze. He couldn't very well say that he had accidentally lost control of his power and destroyed the room. "I just felt the room was a bit old and wanted to renovate it."

Su Wanwan suddenly chuckled: "Could it be that you're worried we'll hear your snoring at night, so you're planning to reinstall the soundproofing?"

"When did I snore in my sleep?!" Han Feng's ears turned red instantly.

"Oh? What did Sister Mengran hear before?" Su Wanwan nudged Liu Mengran with her elbow with a mischievous grin.

Liu Mengran's face instantly turned as red as the sunset, and she lowered her head, pretending to study the building material samples on the floor. Han Feng's expression changed drastically, and he rushed over to cover Su Wanwan's mouth. The three of them chased each other, eventually escalating into a chaotic brawl on the large sofa in the living room.

"I surrender! I surrender!" Han Feng was pinned to the corner of the sofa by two girls, one on each side. Su Wanwan even pressed his thigh down with her knee. "I wasn't snoring. I was just too tired that day and didn't notice!"

"Stubborn to talk, huh?" Su Wanwan winked at Liu Mengran. "Sister Mengran, begin the torture!"

Liu Mengran understood, and her slender fingers immediately reached for Han Feng's waist. Han Feng sprang up like a fish out of water, but couldn't break free from their hold. In the midst of their playful antics, strands of Liu Mengran's hair fell, brushing against Han Feng's cheek, carrying a faint scent of jasmine. Her flushed cheeks and sparkling eyes, a result of her laughter, made her seem completely different from the quiet, aloof girl they had first met.

Ever since Han Feng confided his secret to her at the hospital, Liu Mengran seemed to have completely let down her guard, revealing a lively side that Han Feng had never seen before. At this moment, her eyes crinkled into crescent moons with laughter, and her unguarded demeanor left Han Feng momentarily stunned.

"Sister Mengran, look at this pervert's expression," Su Wanwan suddenly exclaimed, her tone filled with exaggerated terror, "He looks like he wants to eat you alive!"

Liu Mengran then noticed Han Feng's burning gaze, and her face immediately turned as red as a ripe apple, and she stopped what she was doing.

"I'm not a pervert," Han Feng said, trying to appear calm as he snapped out of his daze. "This is appreciation, understand?"

"Still not admitting it!" Su Wanwan persisted. "Sister Mengran, we can't let him get away with it!"

Seeing the situation was turning against him, Han Feng suddenly used his waist to flip over and reverse the situation. In the blink of an eye, he pinned the two girls firmly to the sofa, his arms supporting them on either side of their heads, forming an inescapable cage.

"See, now that's what you call lecherous behavior," Han Feng announced with a wicked grin, then his fingers flew across the keyboard as he began an indiscriminate tickling attack.

"Ah! No! Han Feng, you bastard!" Su Wanwan burst into laughter, kicking her legs wildly. "I was wrong! I was really wrong!"

Liu Mengran wasn't much better off; she was laughing so hard tears streamed down her face, struggling and begging for mercy: "Stop, stop... haha... Han Feng... I can't take it anymore..."

Han Feng, however, was having a field day, especially showing no mercy to the usually quick-witted Su Wanwan: "Weren't you pretty arrogant just now? Hmm? Spreading rumors about me?"

"Hahaha...really...really know I was wrong..." Su Wanwan's voice gradually became tearful, but Han Feng did not notice the change in her expression.

Han Feng only noticed something was wrong when Su Wanwan's laughter suddenly subsided and she stopped struggling. He stopped and saw that Su Wanwan's eyes were red, and although the corners of her mouth were still upturned, her eyes had dimmed.

After a moment of silence, Su Wanwan shoved Han Feng away and rushed upstairs to her room without looking back, slamming the door shut with a loud bang.

Han Feng stood frozen, the warmth of Su Wanwan's push still lingering on his arm. Liu Mengran sat up, smoothing her disheveled hair, and said softly, "Aren't you going to comfort her?"

"I...she..." Han Feng stammered, not understanding why the joke had suddenly gone wrong.

Liu Mengran sighed, her eyes filled with complex emotions: "You really didn't notice? Wanwan, she..." She swallowed the words back, "Alright, you should go now."

Han Feng snapped out of his daze and rushed up the stairs, stopping in front of Su Wanwan's door. He took a deep breath and gently knocked: "Wanwan? May I come in?"

There was no response. Han Feng turned the doorknob and found the door unlocked.

Inside the room, Su Wanwan sat on the bed with her back to the door, her entire body buried in her knees. Hearing the door open, her shoulders trembled slightly, but she didn't turn around.

"Wanwan..." Han Feng walked up behind her, but didn't know what to say. The moonlight outlined her thin figure, making her look completely different from the energetic girl she usually was.

"I'm fine," Su Wanwan's voice was muffled. "I'm just suddenly a little tired."

Han Feng wanted to say something, but found that all words seemed inadequate. He reached out to wipe away the undried tears from Su Wanwan's eyes, but she gently dodged him.

"It's really nothing." Su Wanwan jumped off the windowsill, turning her back to him to compose herself. "I'm just... a little envious of Sister Mengran."

These words were like a dull knife, slowly and heavily piercing Han Feng's heart. He suddenly understood what Liu Mengran had been trying to say earlier, and he also understood why Su Wanwan had suddenly become depressed during their playful fight.

"Wanwan, I..."

"No need to explain." Su Wanwan interrupted him, turning around with her familiar smile, though the loneliness in her eyes was impossible to hide. "I understand. Mengran is more suitable for you; she's gentle, smart, and can help you in your career. As for me..." She shrugged, "I'm just a troublesome brat."

Han Feng wanted to refute, but found himself unable to put his argument to rest. Because, to some extent, he did indeed have special feelings for Liu Mengran, a profound bond forged after going through life-and-death trials.
